he looks awful,..that pec tear is very noticable,,no symmetry..the only thing on him that has size and symmetry is that unibrow..he will never do any damage on stage.

Classic unibrow. Some of the Russian women also have this swarthy look, along with unshaved pits. I'm surprised that no one there's taken him aside and mentioned shaving the unibrow and using some fake tan to get rid of the pasty look. Those eastern europeans really need it.

Not many pros nail it every contest. He'll be back, hell the pec tear won't end his career if he's determined enough.... how many O's did Dorian win with one of the weakest biceps ever to hit the Olympia stage??

The tanning (i.e. before a contest) will cover them up a bit.

Levrone had a doctor re-attach his pec tendon by going through his armpit. The doctor (Kevin Tetsworth in baltimore) had to practice on a cadaver first. This type of surgery usually isnt done that way.

That's how they repair all torn pecs. They screw a hanger on the bone and reattach the tendon to the hanger. If any muscle is torn the surgery can't be done. The armpit is a good place to make the incision 'cause it hides the scar well.

Anyone see Alex F in the 2005 Mr. O video when he came out for a 'mini posedown' with Kris dim, Quincy taylor, Ronnie Rockel and a couple of others (who didnt make the top 15)? Granted his upper body wasnt the best to be seen on the stage, the whole of his lower body was phenomenal. There was this one time when he was pulling a side tricep right next to Kris dim, who was doing a front lat spread (or something) and Alex's quads (and hams), side to side, were wider than Kris dim's waist :o
Maybe he should live in the US for a while and work with Charles glass and someone like Milos (for nutrition) a la Gunther and bring his upper body into balance. His arms and legs are already unreal.

He could be a top contender with a few more years of building back his chest and back. I would not count him out until he stops showing progression on his recovery.

Yates had olympia winner momentum.
He's a special case.
Federov is up against it. He'll never win with how his chest was and whether he can get it back to "ok" is really doubtful.
Sad but true. Good luck to him though.

You obviously know alot about contest prep. It's not unusual to start getting ready 16 or even 20 weeks out. If i remember correctly Jay started his Olympia prep 17 or 18 weeks out.
Alex looks much better 14 weeks out than many pros look 8 weeks out.

he could be doing sets of 100 or sets with a hold(stretch) of 10 seconds at the bottom and 10 seconds at the top on each rep...He could be doing drop sets and this picture was taken at the end of the set... ;D

A young man such as Alex should need no longer than 12 weeks to get in shape, especially if he doesn't get too fat. It's academic anyway, he looks like a pile of crap with that torn pec no matter how far out he is. Eat my cheese.
