Title: Mustafa
Post by: rocket on February 19, 2006, 04:06:36 PM
He seemed pretty damn unhappy about his placing.. what are other people's opinions on his relative placing?  To me looking at that pics aside from his uber overpowering quads if he would just come to the show razor sharp he'd be a challenger.

Kris Dim beat him, what a joke.     Dim's legs look like sticks compared to his.

you better watch it dude, he's gonna fly a virus into your computer.

The more I look at the pics the more I think he was placed appropriately.  Maybe he should defocus his gigantic quads so he can get some balance back in his physique.  That and of course come to the show harder.

if he ever nails his conditioning, dude will be a serious threat.  If he hasn't nailed it by now with the help he has chances are he won't. just like Melvin and Chris Cormier.

True statement!  If mustafa ever hit his conditioning, and that wasn't done at the Ironman, then he will be a real force in the IFBB.

Until then he should shut up he was placed correctly.

He is awesom there is no doubting that ----------------but he needs to get totaly riiiiiiiiiiiped, shrrrrrrrrrreded to be amazing, if he acheived this he would be a serious force , sacrificing some weight would benefit his placings , but I do know for a fact he relys HEAVILY on dehydration to achive a lean look, where he should be concentrating on getting his body fat lower, instead of 5% he needs to be 3%, then he will shine !!

Agreed.  We all know that this guy has about 4 drops of liquid in him at contest time.

I agree and understand that being the BIGGEST doesn't mean your the best.  But still how does Dim and Dugdale beat Mustafa?  What did Dim bring on the stage to place better than Mustafa?  Dugdale did look good but he looked like a little boy next to Mustafa.

Well we shall see in a couple weeks what he brings to the Arnold

the only place Mustafa is lacking is the delts, i agree with Marc Rainbow in that he needs to get a couple percent drier and he will be a force.

Ahh thats Hrdcor thank you!!!

Yeah and your right , if his bodyfat percentage was lower he would look dryer via less subcontanious fluid been held, body fat greates a smooth like apperance no matter how dehydrated you are !!

Don't forget last time he was ripped, he ended up in the hospital ! Some guys just have It harder getting that dry. He's got the size. Who say's his legs are too big?
Shit, Its bodybuilding ! I never hear anyone say " That guys legs are just right "
Only,  they are either too small. Or too big. Puleeze !!!

Best Crab shot of the competition!  And his legs, they were outrageous!
Title: Re: Mustafa
Post by: HRDCOR on February 19, 2006, 07:54:32 PM
Its not the dehydrating thats the problem, it is his body fat percentage , he needs it lower!, thus his dehydrating does not need to be as servere that he ends up in hospital .
By the photos he is around 5% apx guess, he needs it at 3% ,this would also bring his back out, as for most guys the back body fat is the last to go due to perfered hormonal storage sites !!

his front lat and especially side chest DESTROYED anyone else's, he easily held his own in every single other shot...he wasnt that dry but almost everyone else was even less dry....

Yeah thats what I have been saying, I see Mustava at around 5%body fat , and needs to drop about 2 % to acheive the desired look , thats about 5.5lb loss in fat, based on a weight of 270, minus fluid loss that would have him about 10lb lighter apx, but looking so much better for it !!

Hey Guys,

I just saw Mustafa a few hours ago.  I was training at Gold's Gym in Santa Clara, Ca (Monday night- 9:30) and I saw this guy doing stiff-leg deads and I thought "Man, that dude looks a lot like Mustafa".  But I shrugged it off, not really expecting it to be him.  A buddy of mine happend to be training there as well and had walked by him for a closer look, then came to ask me if that was him.  I got a little closer and sure enough it was Mustafa.

He was just finishing up his workout so we chatted with him for a while.  Very nice guy, extremely friendly.  He said he felt he was about 80% for the Ironman and that he was peaking for the Arnold.  He said he liked how the Ironman was judged and felt encouraged.  He was very genuine, talking a lot about his family and children back home.

I've been fortunate enough to meet and become friends with a couple of the pro's including Troy Alves, Chris Cook, and Roc Shabazz.  They are all exceptionally nice people.  I now have to put Mustafa in this group of "very good guys you'd be fortunate to meet" as well.   For those of you who are cheering for him, you made an excellent choice for a lot of reason in my opinion.  I hope he keeps doing well in the future.

PS-He was fully covered up but big as a house!

I figured as much, Peaking for the Arnold seems about right, I'd peg him about 2 weeks from fixing some of the problems I noticed at the Pro Ironman. The Legs will always be Over Powering but they are his calling card like they were for Tom Platz.
Hopefully he will address the H2O retention problem and keep his health in tact! Your right when you say he is genuine and warm, he is one of the more likeable pro's out there, just dont piss him off. Talk about Fire and Brimstone, Mohammad dont take crap from people very well.
out.

OK going to be blunt here. Mustafa is smooth, fat whatever you want to call it and he relies on diuretics to get him in shape and it does not work and never will. He needs to start his dieting 4 weeks sooner for once and win a show. A true friend would tell him this. Shawn, I elect you, no matter how pissed he gets stand your ground and do a lot of finger pointing, he likes that.
