David Henry said in his column for MD that he dislikes this board becuase of all the disrespect many of the memebers has for the pros. The name calling the outlandish acusations, the unfounded rumors. The critique of thier physique when none have competed locally. Hidding behind sir names and calling pros out as if the pro knows them. I have over 573 post here but many of you have over 2000 post and many of it contains the kind of crap stated above. I like Getbig it was the first but the community here esspecially those who claim thier so huge and so much a Bodybuilder yet their nobody just like me Im a Fan....their stars are yellow just like mine if its not blue then you really need to be paying compliments to these pros and those in the industry. stop throwinf stones Many of you are mere wanna be's some rarely train.
When I look at other community boards you dont see much of this crap, thier has been racism, talk against others religion and only less than 1% of you actually knows each other. A prime example will be the response on here observe as it rolls down. I hope Im proven wrong. ;)

I TOTALLY AGREE WITH YOU "GETINHUGE" I LIVE N MD AND TRAINED AT KEVIN LEVRONE'S GYM. ACTUALLY BECAME PRETTY GOOD FRIENDS WITH HIM. SOME OF THE MEMBERS ON THIS BOARD CRUCIFY KEV ALONG WITH OTHER BODYBUILDERS FOR NO REASON.

I can't think of many people who have over 2000 posts that are predominantly negative - a couple of obvious suspects yes but not "many".
If you like the look of other community boards, go post on them then. This is how this board is and for better or worse its a far more interesting place to be.

But I think that the escape from reality part should be avoided as much as possible, taking on too much of a crazy Internet personality which differs from the real life person may lead to personal problems in the end.

I think that David Henry needs to develop thicker skin. These boards are here to entertain as well as inform. If he believes that GetBig is all negative then he really hasn't explored this site. And the assumption that a non pro can't critique a pro is total garbage. Most of the things that I have read regarding Henry on these boards has been positive, Which leads me to believe that he is doing the very thing in print that he accuses others of doing on an internet board. Why does he compete in a subjective sport if he can't handle criticism?

Actually, there were a few negative threads about Henry started by someone who went by "ProteinJones." Other than that, there hasn't been much negative said about Henry on Getbig. It's not like were talking about Kamali, who gets roasted here on a weekly basis.
I was one of the people who stood up for Henry and gave him props. Not everything here is negative. We just have a lot of trolls. Many here create accounts just to talk shit. Ignore the shit talkers. That is what I say. If you're hurt that someone on the net is calling you names, and making fun of you, then wait till you get outside in the real world, where reality is shit and life isn't fair......you won't last a minute.

I think we should CRITIQUE an athlete'e physique all we want to, but we shouldn't simply blurt out the first insults that come to mind. ESPECIALLY when it's relating to their life personally..
These BB's dont make enough money to have to endure personal attacks.. We should re-read what we type the NEXT MORNING, before we post it. And possibly re-phrase statements that are especially inflammatory. Because they will only create an escalation of more inflammatory comments.

Too many pro's particularly just don't get it, they don't get that there are people everywhere who will say stupid shit for attention. Once you realise this and you don't take it seriously it means nothing. Its not like LP, Shawn Ray or any of the guys here who have got over the initial reaction have exploded with how bad the hate is here or anything. They realise that the internet is a lot of people playing out roles and behaviour that doesn't fly in real life.
Kamali, for instance could not handle it one bit, people would say something polite but perhaps mildly critical and the guy would just react straight away.
If you want your ego stroked go somewhere else.. you'll have to wade through some shit here but you'll never get people not giving you props when you don't deserve it. People ignore positive comments here because they are virtually a given. Every pro onstage looks phenomenal compared to the majority, but we're here to talk about the top level of competition.
Its strange really because on stage in your underwear is virtually the most vulnerable situation you could ever put yourself in. How some troll on the internet could possibly ruin your day is beyond me.

No I respect other peoples opinions, I will debate a piont if I think I have a logical resonable argument for the oppisite, but I certantly respect the fact some dont like lee,s look, I havent jumped on any one disagreeing with the Iron man results have I !!!
The Piont I was making ,is if you go into a very public domain and strive to be a star in this sport , be very prepared to have the shit bashed out of you,because this sport is based solely on opinions !!!!
What I do disagree with is people getting all personal and disrespectfull to individuals, one can easily have there say and piont of veiw with out taking it to the gutter, but unfortantly that will never be stoped so one has to be prepared for that , a david !!!

David (and the long list of pros who post on the net) need to develop thicker skin. Yes, it's true that some posters on GetBig go way to far. That being said, the same identity problems and need for attention that drives most people to become pros do not go away when they get a pro card.
I respect all the hard work and dedication needed to become a pro but have some bad news for all of them: No matter how perfect you look, everyone isn't going to love you.

But seriously, He has to realize that there are going to be jerks every where who wont respect Jesus Christ if he walked into thier house... Do you think anyone outside of BB respects Kevin Levorne ?? hahah yeah right.. I think it would be valuable as a Pro BB to be in contact with the public you work for , makes you more popular, get more people buying your videos, cheering for you at shows, and maybe someday grow up to play a sheriff on TV and sign autographs for 20 bucks a pop.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again--when you see an athlete in Testicular Maldevelopment pissing and moaning about GetBig, it's usually John Romano or "Boss Blechman" ghost-writing the article.

Bodybuilding is many diferent things to many different people. You can enjoy bodybuilding, and like reading about it but not like the direction it has gone on a "competition" level. Personally, I don't say negative things about the pros because it would be giving them more thought than they are worth.
Too each their own, when I agreed to the board rules none of them said I have to like/respect competitive bodybuilding or professional bodybuilders.
