For horse racings popularity they are better off having this horse lose.  They are getting millions of viewers just to see history. Once a horse and the TC no me will watch horse racing anymore. The allure of it Keeps people tuning in.

Yep

American Pharoah, the flashy colt with the smooth stride, won the Belmont Stakes on Saturday, becoming the first Triple Crown winner in a generation and etching himself in the history books. Since 1978, when Affirmed swept the three races, 13 horses had won the Kentucky Derby and Preakness. But none of them won the Belmont.

No way man, they said he will make between six and seven million a year in stud fees for the next 20 years. I have no idea the life span of a horse, but I think it's safe to say this dude is set.



Also on a side note, did anyone else wonder why the trainer of the horse, was better dressed than the owner? He looked like a boss. (No homo)
