ive heard a lot of terrible stories about the arrogance of ray but I think Heath has taken it to a new level?

Ray had a good physique... an all time great. That counts for something.
Heath is an embarrassment, nothing more.

Phil Heath will be about as standout as Franco was in winning the Olympia crown. If he wins eight he wins based on being a collection of large muscularity and extreme conditioning with a propensity for arm and back thickness. He will be remembered for that, along with his unpleasant attitude and the more obvious Olympia achievements. I don't think he will be discussed among other Olympians as a majestic culmination of size, conditioning, aesthetics and flow.
Other than big arms and roundness Phil doesn't have a characteristically Olympian Silhouette, reminds us of the core value of bodybuilding in terms of physique art, a beauty of sorts. He will not be revered among the greats such as serge nubret, arnold schwarzenegger, ronnie coleman, chris cormier, dexter jackson, shawn rhoden(prediction) and even jay cutler.

I've talked with both and Shawn by far. He's a smart ass douche bag, maybe things have changed now but back when he was competing he was a jerk off
Vince Taylor, aaron baker and Gunther were some of the coolest, Chris Cormier too

Actually he did, I worked out in Fullerton a few times and over heard him talking shit about his "fans" after taking a pic with them
Also seen him a handful of times in Venice golds my home gym
So why is Heath a douche bag? Because others say so and u are just following a long the crowd?

You have to think about the time we live in now and the fact every bastard person is on their phone 24/7 it seems. I bet if Shawn Ray had been active in an era so littered with mobile phones and social media apps that he would have stopped his workouts to take selfies, tweet BS, update his FB, etc.

Based on the length of time he's been a douche and the all day ( inside ) sunglasses, Shawn gets the nod. However, Phil is coming on so strong that he will surpass Ray by light years. Phil has the arrogance of coach and the piss poor attitudes of assclowns like Walter, SF1900 and the boards #1 asshole chaos.

Branch was cool back in the day. Pretty funny guy - way more dedicated to the sport than I was/am... Have no clue what he is like now.

I have to agree. I do think Phil's arms are impressive as hell and without them he is a nat level BB... I wonder if the AVERAGE gym junkie digs him exactly because of that reason??? I think a huge percentage of guys who that "train" would be perfectly happy if all the had was freaky arms. Chest is a distant second. Obviously abs isn't important enough for most to diet and cardio - lol... Doesnt make a shit to me - I don't think there is a right or wrong - just do whatever you want. Just with all of the silly looking synthol arms you have to wonder if having an All- Arms Mr. O isn't a great marketing move.

Prior to Shawn taking money to go to MD, he spent quite a while here and he was more like the rest of us than any other pro. Trollish, petty, etc
That should make it abundantly clear just how big of an asshole Shawn is.
He's a getbig level asshole.
Phil Heath is just a normal guy who has to deal with the fact that he is the top dog but is constantly being run down by the fact he's structurally disabled and not really anything to write home about in terms of historically significant bodybuilders. He's not an asshole - he just doesn't know how to handle that criticism because it's not something he can make better. He comes off as an asshole because people tell him this stuff all the time and he doesn't swallow it and he fires back with something that isn't charming.
That's the key to being a public figure. Never answer criticism with something that is not charming. For instance, Eric Cantona - now that was a fucking charming way of answering a critic.

Kamali said Ray had said something to him when he was younger. So, when Kamali was a pro he had a grudge against Ray. Maybe whatever Shawn said, Kamali should have steered clear of bodybuilding.

I remember I saw one clip on MD when some fan asked on mail "Branch whats your diet like" and branch was like putting down that fan saying on camera "no am not fucking telling you what am going to eat" - he was rude it was not sarcastic... and david henry i heard few interviews with him,he is just arrogant in general...this guys have to kiss ass to the fans cause the fans made them earning their salary

15 years ago (Palumba said it haha) that he was doing seminar with Shawn Ray,and that people would go on his small boot and would ask him random question about training,diet etc,and you know what Shawn did - in an blink of eye he would say "BUY MY DVD" and THE END he would NOT answer any question...imagine that imagine fucking that arrogance,,,am happy that contracts are over cause this morons have to realize they are nothing without fans supporting that contracts...

i remember the clips of MIKE TYSON,i think that he just turned professional in box,he would KO his oponent and then you know what would he do,he would go to him and ask him is he ok and would hug him...and after he became famous and started earning millions his behavior changed...he became arrogant crazy...then AGAIN when he bakrupt etc he became nice to everyone...fame & money change the people...
am just curoius how much money they are receiving on contracts from Steve Blechman for beeing so arrogant...is this 10k a month

I've met Shawn Ray in person and he was a real personable and friendly dude, flex on the other hand acted like a reject homeboy who thought he was a huge Hollywood star.
