Title: I woke up this morning only to discover I'm overdrawn-UPDATED
Post by: Tony_Jack on August 24, 2015, 06:54:43 AM
I received an email from my bank stating I'm overdrawn by 25 dollars. I'm in rough shape with my finances. I'm going to begin attending Debtors Anonymous meetings at once. Once again, another area of my life has gone to shambles and only the 12 Steps can bail me out.

But you still find time to post on GetBig.

If true you have far more problems than mere financials, bucko.

lol. 12 step programs are bullshit.  You don't have a disease that an imaginary man can heal you of, you have poor impulse control and lack discipline.  Hope this helps.

The 12 Step program has enabled me to stop drinking and drugs for over 7 years, and more recently it has helped me stop a brutal Sex Addiction that had me losing my shirt in the strip joints. If you feel it doesn't work that's your privilege. I know it has worked for me.

It hasn't done shit.  You just admitted in your post you swapped the witch for the bitch.  You have remained an addict the whole time  but just swapping addictions.  And all that time sober and still you can't handle money, you're as big a fuck up today as the day you walked in the rooms. All 12 step programs do is give alcoholics and drug addicts who are treated  as second class citizens by the rest of society somewhere to congregate where they aren't treated as second class citizens.  The majority are just like you, they swap one addiction for the other, they just find new ways to act out that makes them appear to be managing their dysfunction better.  They remain broken people, sadly the poor fuckers can't admit it and remain in constant denial.  The only way to really recover is to free yourself from the 12 step program addiction itself.

That may well all be true, but not drinking is better for me than drinking. Also, it sounds like you've been to meetings yourself?

Luckily I was able to borrow the $25.00 from about 10 people at my AA meeting last night, and I was able to deposit it right in the ATM and save myself. It brought a tear to my eye that my brothers in AA stepped up and helped me.
