Calls CEO pay disgusting.
Said: "We’re going to be reducing taxes for the middle class. But for the hedge fund guys, they’re going to be paying up,” Trump said.
He didn't say it he plans on implementing fiscal socialism on JUST those working in the financial sector, or ALL people making big dollars. I mean, if a hedge fund manager makes $300,000 then he will tax them higher. He'd have to tax doctors and lawyers and CEOs at a higher rate also.
Socialism. Liberalism. Don't deny it, impossible.
-
Im for that for a few years to get the debt paid down, and this would negatively affect me. Sometimes you have to stop the bleeding.
-
Sounds good.

it's what liz warren and bernie sanders want too. Hilary will actually be easier on millionaires than trump lol.
It'd be interesting to hear what repub supporters of Trump have to say about him raising taxes on the wealthy.

The republican base, white trash Southern racists Arent wealthy, just the opposite in fact, so why would they care?
Trump is a nut, but in a way he is making the GOP a party of the common people.

I asked this in another thread, if he is going to be the great unifier Obama was supposed to be.

Let me get this straight, is he saying he will raise taxes on himself? I call bullshit!
He's definitely not "middleclass" which is a ridiculous term that would be better stated as middle-income, since having money has nothing to do with having class.
-
is he ONLY going to raise taxes on those working in the financial sector? I'd guess not, as that'd be freakin' insane. "If you are a lawyer, we tax you at 30%. If you are a banker, we tax you are 60%". LOL, watch how many "job titles" change haha.
Biden said it was patriotic for the wealthy to pay more in taxes, and repubs were vocal and hated all over it.
Trump says it's "greatness" to tax the wealthy... and Crickets...
-

Who said Obama was some great unifier? The republican base will never get behind a N*****.
Even if he was capable of such a feat, witch i highly doubt, it would be impossible when you have a propaganda Network like FOX working 24/7 to discredit your every move

My son-in-law gave me an interesting perspective on this Trump fiasco. What if the Donald is making all these outlandish statements just to prove that any idiot with mucho bucks can get elected to be Chief of Staff in the U.S. As we also discussed that he may actually be successful in achieving his personal desires for additional exaltation because the voting public is that gullible.

there are lots of possibilities. he's lifelong friends with the clintons - they sit in the front pew at his wedding.
If he decides to quit tomorrow, what are his 3 biggest accomplishments?
1) Called other repubs punk names
2) Prevented ANY other repub from getting huge coverage for america
3) Stole a LOT of coverage that emailgate wuld have gotten
SO FAR... she's been great for dems and shitty for repubs. Will that change?

All good points, of which I cannot argue.
This election cycle holds promise that the game is more interesting than ever.
You have got to love how the elections are played out on Getbig. This one seems to have started sooner than pervious ones. When all is said an done, we can argue to the death of us and it changes nothing. This is because most of the folks here don't bother to vote. Still the process is kind of amusing, wouldn't you say? Uncle Joon and his comrades stand to make big bucks if they bet successfully on the final results.

It may consist of white trash southern racists and non wealthy people...But you forget about the majority which are a much more important demographic.

I wonder what biden thinks of the half of americans that pay no income tax?

actually he has done a favor to the reps...if obama has taught us anything its that the less you know about a candidate the better it is for them

Im all for the rich paying more as well but the fact is 50% dont pay any income tax. I need at least a little skin in the game from everyone before you start talking about raising taxes on others.

If he decides to "play" 300 million people, I think there could be problems. Like he's just gonna say, "nah, I just wanted to see if I could win, give it to my VP." The general public would riot. I'd say the more believable CT would be 240's.

I'm not arguing the position.
I'm saying it's very clear that Trump is taking a major democrat position, while running as a republican.
The same folks shitting on Biden/Obama for wanting to tax the rich are surprisingly quiet when Trump says the EXACT SAME THING.

they are as silent as the liberals who constantly whine about the republicans only being for the rich and not the middle class...

props for that. I take it you're the last repub standing on getbig, who isn't falling under Twump's spell?
They use the common "I'm not saying I vote for him, but I like some of his ideas..."
That's a cheap cop-out for wanting to back this lifetime dem, but not having the balls.

ill vote for him over hillary or bernie but he is a fucking idiot
much like bush was to blame for obama, obama is to blame for trump

man, i agree with all of that.
One can only imagine what kind of 'bag of crap' candidate we'll see after President Trump.

I'm thinking you'll never get to vote for Trump.

I made that comment several years ago.
Obama was such a shitty president that it cost the democrat party 20 years.
And now the end result is a candidate like Trump gaining traction.
-
Lol morning joe just said John kasich is in the best position to beat trump for the nomination.
Lol beyond delusional. They love this dude.

Nope.

Bush's average approval rating while President was 49%
Obama's average approval rating while President is 47%
A 2 point spread is practically nothing. It seems no matter what the Presidents do not even half the people agree with them.
President Clinton had an average approval rating at 60%
President Eisenhower had an average approval rating of 66%
These two Presidents faired a little better.

Well, Bush had 911, which spiked him to neat 70%, as everyone gets behind a prez after a crisis. What was bush's approval before 911? He left office at 22%, http://www.cbsnews.com/news/bushs-final-approval-rating-22-percent/
So in exchange for not stopping 911, he was given monster approval, which he squandered in Iraq and with general idiocy.
Comparing the 2 is laughable.

Did you miss that these are average approval ratings? If I wanted to compare highest and lowest approval ratings, I would have done so.

And the problem with Obama is his approval ratings have been consistently below 50 percent.

Seems like it would be a problem to me too. However with the exception only a couple of Presidents, most were below 50%.
-

that is not even close to the only problem with Obama. The approval rates won't ever be high again because the parties keep separating further and further. The only way to tell if someone's served a good term (or in obamas case "terms") you would have to analyze what has happened and see for yourself what type of situation this person has left us with...and my answer is if that he criteria then Obama has been the worst president we've ever had...I have never met more stupid people in my life or observed so many stupid people that stick up for him...that alone pisses me off
-

Your comments about Obama being the worst President we've had seems contrary to what you wrote about approval ratings because they must be opinions since it is too soon to accurately analyze what happened during his presidency.

why couldn't have people just been right about the approval ratings even though it's not a reliable source? Without even looking at them I can tell you he's terrible in fact....before I even knew about them I had him ranked pretty terribly and I can elaborate further if need be but just know it's factual
-

That is low.
Communist terrorist dictators usually have a 100% approval rating.

He has been a disaster.

People love Communist dictators ;)
They also like not being dead.

You do understand my comment "wonder why?" was rhetorical. Thanks for the explanation anyway.
-
Income and wealth are not the same thing...if you really want to tax wealth, tax any account held by an individual or corporation above whatever threshold you want...be it 2 million, 5 million or 10...wealth is the accumulation of assets. Income is the process of accumulating assets. Taxing people accumulating wealth and not the people who have accumulated wealth is not "taxing the rich"
Or you could just tax consumption..which is the smarter thing to do any way
-

Dont worry i got it :)

Looks like the repub frontrunner is going to get that tax increase he wanted.

Don't worry, the new thing to do - govt revises all data eventually to their favor. Ha

Good campaign strategy. Since the wealthy are only 1% of the population it is better to pander to the other 99%. Only someone with enough money to fund their own campaign can do this though. Most candidates rely on campaign contributions from the wealthy. These candidates cannot afford to offend the wealthy because of this.

That IS the problem. Yes. Of course.
They not only "not offend them", but they work deals with them.
So... NOT good.
