Title: Six star / body fortress
Post by: Crossbones on October 06, 2015, 09:39:08 AM
Usually buy my zma and bcaa at Walmart - the six star brand and body fortress.

Compared to the gnc varieties six star is cheaper. I'm curious whether cheaper also means underdosed ingredients. Could be ingesting chalk dust for all I know. Any of you folks have any thoughts experience with the Walmart shelf brands?

Only supplement to ever have proven value is creative. Proven through double blind placebo controlled trials that have been peer reviewed and reproduced over years.

Everything else is all marketing.

I'm not saying that Arginine products won't make you vascular. But what does that do for you? Numerous studies seem to indicate that they have a detrimental effects on ventricular function....

Not going to dig up studies although i'm sure they exist on the products mentioned. In the end I feel better using vitamins and BCAA/Creatine.

BCAA
Creatine
Multi
B-complex
Fish oil
Vitamin D3
Red yeast rice
Glucosamine and Chondroiton
Coq10
zinc
Vitamin E
Vitamin C
Milk Thistle

Taken up to 3x's per day.

Add MSM and arginine to this regiment and it is spot on.

I really do need to put out a line of pills...

People will buy anything.

I'll call them placebos.

MSM is in my Glucosamine and Chondroiton formula. I'm sure there are other vitamins/minerals that are important but like you I believe the ones I have ultimately decided to use provide the most protection from cell oxidation.
