I have been a subscriber of Flex for about 4 years and when I first ordered the magazine I always received it within a week after it was published in the US
(I live in Europe). After Weider publications was sold to AMI the once great customer care has deteriorated to point of a joke. Not one issue has been delivered when it was supposed to and I have to BEG for my copy with several emails and often I do not receive it at all.
If I receive my mag it usually over a month late, and there is really no point in reading an old magazine.
Now I am missing the latest copy and their customer care hasn`t even bothered to answer me.
Time to subscribe to MD, I think...

for every issue of flex, you could get a copy of a porn mag instead :P

Flex magazine subscription sucks! It'll be on the stands for a week before you get your copy. >:(

noze, yea youre right man fuck flex magazine, i get mine late every fucking time too, and they also send mine to a previous address when it was changed a while ago, the funny thing is that customer service tells me theyll extend my subscription, then 4 or 5 months before my subscription expires then bombard me with renewal notices that say "final notice" even after i pay almost immediately. ill be subscribing to MD soon, flex customer service is a fucking joke

My subscription just ran out (after over 5 years) and i am done. I have too many late or even missing copies lately. The part I hate the most is the sugar coated articles. This is a sport that is very interesting when all things are included (just look at the range of topics on this board). Flex ignores some news just to "save" the world from seeing the "bad" things about bbing (obvious topics).
The problem is that this sugar coating or ignoring alienates the core fanbase that buys their mags. I have MD cleans house as the only mag reporting on the new fed - just to spite the sleeping Flex mag.

I quit reading the others after I read MD. I am most interested in Lee's column and Dexter's columns. It's also cool to read about some of the "drug" articles. Except for all the advertising at least MD isn't sugar coating bodybuilding.

You had better subscribe to MD then. In fact, when I called to order (about 10 months ago) some sweet babe by the name of Terry hooked me up big time. I only remember her voice because it was sooo nice. But anyway, the one time I missed an issue, she sent me a new one without any questions asked...which is too bad, it would have been nice to speak with her longer. But anyway, just as in any business, SERVICE is KEY! Not only does MD serve NO BULL, its service seems to extend beyond that. Im happy.

i dont buy any magazines any more either... i look through them a little when they come out in the store, but i just cant see myself buying them and reading about obvious stuff like barbell curls and stuff like that...

Yep. That is why I didn't bother re-upping my subs. At one time, I was like 3 mags behind. Nobody could tell me anything or why.
