I love how he psychs himself up by slapping his head
-
Sarcasm is bigger than what I give him credit for..

Aren't you usually slapped in the ass before taking the big one?
-
that was funny...what was that 25 reps?

getting psyched before a lift is one of the most important things you can do - some people just have different ways of going about it. studies show that doing so before benching increases your max by 12% (thanks Flex magazine).
whether its growling and saying "Common Haney! #1", having Leroy Davies yell at you to "let's go diesal-man - time to get nasty now - nice chunky movement", or yellin "yeaaaah buuuuddy!" do whatever it takes.
sure slapping your head for a 135 max bench is a bit much, but i'd rather train at a gym with that kind of intesity going on than some fitness spa. Personally, a good slap on the back ala Cost of redemption gets me going for heavy squats - makes the bar "dissapear"
to each their own

I am well aware of what psyching yourself up does it is just funny to see him so psyched up for 135. there is no need to look into this any further than face value.

fair enough - it was pretty funny

ok, so if I understand this post correctly. By slapping myself in the head a few times to get psyched, studies have shown that your benching may increases by as much as 12% (thanks Flex magazine). And taking the new wonder drug Gakic will only get me immediate 10.5% increase in strength and will cost $40-50 a month.
Well, the verdict is clear. Save cash and get stronger by slapping yourself in the head! ;D
