A lot of MMA fighters (who, of course, aren't in the UFC) say Dana White and the UFCreally underpay the fighters and generally screw/blackmail them via contract every chance they get. Does anyone have any insight into this?

As with Tank, taking these fights is a big business. It's not always who is the best gets paid more. It is the one who sells the tickets. Tank may not be a good fighter but he is a show in itslef and people love it. He sells tickets. People like seeing home runs hit, and they love seeing someone get knocked out. At any moment Tank could knock his opponent out HARD, and that is what people want to see. So more tickets are sold.

Hit that nail on the head. Some of the technically best fighters aren't big UFC draws because they're not big showmen. Tank's record isn't that great, but you can usually count on some drama. I know a couple of MMA fighters who were told that they weren't "flashy enough" for a UFC match.

im sure the fighters that are not big names and contenders for a title isnt getting paid much, but that's part of the drive to get their so they can get the big pay, im sure there's gonna be plenty of money in UFC if it continues this way, a lot has happend just in recent years...

The new guys from TUF get million dollar contracts right?
Forrest Griffen and Stephan Bonner deserved it. Diego obviously DOES NOT! (little bitch needs his jerry-curled head smashed in)

No, the winners got six figure contracts spread over three years. They really get a set amount to fight plus a win bonus. Some of the salaries from the UFC events have been posted on here if you want to look them up.
