He looks carb depleted to me :)
-
Darrem has some of the best guns ever, show some respect.
-
hahahahahahah look at his face in the last pic w/ the tricep extensions. face of death!!!
-
20 pounds what a beast!!!!!
-

Yea he's bigger than me but it appears that I can kick his ass.
-
Depleted,in shape and probably warming up.if he trained in any gym with those light weights and some smaller and smoother dude who was say curling 50's next to him ,who do you going to think want's to look like whom?
-
darrem did 150s for 10 easy reps on flat bench 2 weeks out of the olympia.
But wait, you do more, so ya, he's a weak little bitch
-
Bast everyone has limit's,take in account his joint's and overall body mass,he get's in great shape but he's not a mass monster by no means.
-
You would expect a guy who's been on steroids and been a pro bodybuilder for years to be able to handle a bit more weight.
Mind you, Ronnie in 1997 was barely handeling the 140s on flat bench for 10 or so reps. So according to you, even Ronnie would be a weak bitch.
-
They're called "isolation exercises". Only a dork would try to max out on dumbbell flyes.

Levrone tore a pec with the 60s.

ZINGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG GGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG ;D

I was talking about Darrem's 30lbs dumbbell extensions and him struggling with 40lb dumbbell curls.
From the look of his arms, he knows what he's doing. He's a bodybuilder, not a weightlifter.

yes, I'm sure you can tell he was struggling from the picture ::)

Shh.. don't ruin it. This is empowering for them. :)
-
What would he look like without the drugs though?
Are you saying that you just stick to the same weight for your exercies once you get to a certain point? You don't increase the weights you use?
I'm saying a guy like Darrem can do more with those 40 lb. dumbbells in terms of stimulating biceps growth, than less skilled and focused trainers could do with, say, 65 lb. dumbbells.

Exactly.
Look at the form his using
look at the concetration on his face.
He's back is 100 percent straight, elbows tucked into his sides on the curls, elbows locked on the extensions, going by the look of the pics, he is trained superslowly too.
Maybe you guys should start training this way too, and you might look a bit more asthetical.
Bodybuilding is about "stimulating" your muscles.

I like the new Rocket. Way to sack up lately Rocket, keep it up.
-
Really? In 1997, Ronnie did 225 on the flat bench of 77 reps at the Arnold. But I guess dumbbells are a different feel.
This was in his first training video after the olympia. He struggles a hell of a lot more with the 140s than he ever did with the 200s 3 years later, that's for sure
-
.
-
The weights you train with mean nothing in BBing - how long till people realise this?
who gives a fu ck if he's using 20,s? If he's a pro BBer he's doing something better than most of us here.
-
Yea he's bigger than me but it appears that I can kick his ass.
It's a well known fact that the amount of weight you can curl is high correlated with fighting ability ::)

That is sick. Just sick. 77 reps. Unreal.
-
If my arms looked liked Darrems by using low weights then so be it....ITs called form people...
-
Last I heard, Darrem was a bodybuilder..........not a powerlifter.
-
How much weight is he required to use on a contest stage? Is he in training for a powerlifting meet? Or isn't it more like.... whatever he's doing has worked wonders for his arm development since they're definately a strong point. Case closed.

haha good one ct ;D

since when do powerlifters do biceps curls and dumbbell extensions?
-

Bast, buddy.... quit while you're behind!
-
since when do powerlifters do biceps curls and dumbbell extensions?
I hope you're kidding, but nearly all of them.
-
there's a pic in the latest Flex of Darrem pressing 315 behind the neck fairly deep, don't know if the picture was staged or not but it's hard to believe that he's that strong.
-
since when do powerlifters do biceps curls and dumbbell extensions?
Go ask Dave Tate or any Westside powerlifters; triceps work is probably their top priority (for the bench press). They perform at least 2-3 heavy triceps exercises twice a week.
-
You would expect a guy who's been on steroids and been a pro bodybuilder for years to be able to handle a bit more weight.
Did it ever occur to you that those weights could possibly be warm up sets?
Forget it. You will never be a pro bodybuilder, you will never look like one and you have no f*ucking clue what it takes to get ready for a pro show and what some pros go through in terms of discipline.
By that pic he looks like he's a few weeks out from doing a show. pro's typically dont go heavy in the weeks prior to show for concern of a possible injury.
ok...I'm sure you can do more weight on bicep curls. But your form is probably dog shit with your ass poking in the air as you lift the weight and your spine bending backwards like a pretzel as you bring the weight up.
dickhead.....
-
A lot of meltdowns going on here. You guys must have some weak arms.
-

Maybe so but the its not how heavy your lifts are that win you physique contests.

Where did I say that he's a bad bodybuilder?

:-\
I focus on the individual muscle. While pumping away at an exercise, I watch the muscle belly bulge and contract. Throughout the set, I make sure I am not using leverage from my body or assistance from another joint or muscle group. At the slightest sign that I might be letting the focus of the exercise stray from the muscle belly, I stop immediately, rest for a few moments, then begin anew with better concentration. This focus has contributed to the muscle separation I'm known for.
Weak, or smart? You figure it out, "Bast." hahahaha, oh brother, what a name. ;D

JESUS! :o :o

That looks like the face arnold makes while doing flys in pumping iron.
When he is wearing the yellow tank top who has the screen shots..........

Agreed. Darrem is not weak by any means, but he's obviously the kind of guy who emphasizes perfect form and the mind-muscle connection, and hell he's a bodybuilder after all so who cares. I couldn't imagine him doing his usual good clean reps with 315.

How many reps has he done? Could be 50-100. Ever hear of that bast?
