Trump needed Bush for many reasons. First is that he was a good punching bag for trump and all of the Bush haters loved it. Bush kept away a small percentage of the votes from Cruz and Rubio. Now those votes will go to Cruz or Rubio and possibly giving them a slight edge over Trump. When Cruz or Rubio drop out those votes are not going to Trump either. His 30-40% votes will be beaten when the rest of the field is narrowed down to a single other candidate.
Yeah Yeah, move this shit to the politics board.

yup, that's the narrative. it'll end up being a Trump vs Rubio showdown. the longer the others stay in helps the Donald (especially when it comes to the winner-take-all states.) but, as others drop out, it's not like Trump won't pick up any new votes, but (yeah) Rubio will get the lion's share of 'em.

What you said is accurate. Bush got around 8.1% and I think that will mainly go to Cruz and to a lessor extent Rubio. Cruz and Rubio have to come to an agreement and one has to drop out. I also believe that when Carson and Kasick eventually drop out their voters art not going to Trump either.

I agree. It will probably come down to Rubio vs. Trump. First, Carson and Kasich will drop out. The majority of their supporters will go to Rubio and Cruz...I believe more will support Rubio. If the republicans want a near definite win in November, they should pick Cruz. His message is positive, he will likely pick Indian Gov Nikki Haley as VP (a very diversified ticket), and he will get the establishment support. However, Trump has a ton of supporters...the republicans need his supporters to win the WH. Trump has pulled out a lot of disenfranchised voters and may have tapped into blue color working Americans who voted democrat decades ago.

Jason Genova did better than Jeb.

Agree. Trump is the protest vote. He barely even has a platform, but the voters believe he's gonna "Straighten out Washington." When the field consolidates, the last man standing should get the Lion's share as those voters are more issue based.

My Bush vote is going to Trump. Cruz has no chance vs Dems. Rubio is too cute to not either have a girlfriend or boyfriend on the side.

Strange that you would go from one extreme to the other
-
The little twerp Rubio wouldn't survive a one on one debate against Trump.

If you believe that either of them represent an extreme, you're a fucking moron. A gullible fucking moron.

whatever the outcome -
The GOP field has been bloodied to shit...
thanks to a man who was paid $250 million by liberal-ass NBC and had Hilary front row at his wedding ;)
Hilary's path to the white house WILL be easier, as the GOP candidates will beat each other up, spend a ton of money, and really keep her email scandal out of the news. Let's face it... they can leak all the documents they want, but Trump making fun of Cruz being candian or rubio's sweating will get WAY more interest from people.

Nobody wants to vote for Hillary, not even most democrats. All the excitement is with Sanders. When he's gone, their turnout plummets.

Only way to possibly take out Trump is for Bush, Cruz, Kasich, and the Brew to all drop out and give their support to Rubio. And even then it will be close...That should have been the first thing Bush did to try to get back at Trump. Sure not all the voters who voted for these guys will vote Rubio but it diff would give him more votes than if they didn't.

Issue for Trump will be money. How is that possible you say? He's a billionaire you say. True, but he's a billionaire with all his money tied in assets. He's not liquid by any means. Then you have the Koch brothers that are pledging close to $750 Million and Sheldon Aldelson who is also giving close to a billion. They are currently backing Cruz and Rubio respectively. Then the war machine chest that was funding Bush that will now pick Cruz or Rubio. The eventual winner of those two will get an immediate cash influx of close to $2 billion where Trump will be in the low hundred million range. Even if they're close at 40% of the votes each, the money Rubio or Cruz will have will slowly chip away at the voters and bring them to their side. Elections are no longer about the best person but about who has the biggest war chest.

Sheldon Aldelson and his super packs have not given much yet. There was an article yesterday that basically stated that he felt burnt because he gave so much to Gingrich against the advice of his people, so he's waiting until the field narrows. His wife is a big Cruz fan while he like Rubio. Take it for what its worth.

Aldelson is creaming for anyone that promises a war with Iran. That's why Cruz goes on and on about Iran and ISIS even though there isn't a link. Cruz wants Aldelson's money to back him. The one person he won't back is Trump, neither will the Koch brothers but I guess if somehow Trump gets the nom they may chat with him and see what their money can buy. Trump might look at it as money saving.

We must fix this problem.

I really hope not. I hope Trump views it as his opportunity to call them out, seeing as how they are some of the ones causing all our problems.
Once he's in the office (if that happens), he'll be free to do that.

Note how many people here are constantly wrong in their predictions. Recent analysis shows Trump Rubio and Cruz tend to split up the votes of those who drop out making it a wash. Nevada was huge.
