Title: Wrestlemania = another PPV
Post by: littleguns on March 24, 2016, 10:39:51 AM
This is turning out to be a terrible PPV, no rhyme or reason to the card, feuds etc

Undertaker is Vince's hired hitman BUT Taker hates Vince? So is he a heel or face? Why say this is Takers last match if he looses...wouldn't you want to do a "promotion/tour" of when the dead man is officially retiring

New Day VS League of No ones......does anyone care?

Reigns vs HHH - there is no good way to position this match

Rock will be there..doing what?

No mention of Austin?

Ladder match of low-middle card jobbers?

Andre the Giant Battle royal - person wins and they are forgotten about..

Ryback vs Kalisto....this is a Raw match

I am not trying to sound bitter BUT back in the day, matches were announced months in advance, feuds were ended, new ones started.... truly sad

there is no build up or anticipation created for matches anymore.

remember the build up to Hogan Warrior?

they had multiple stare downs and shove matches in the months leading up so when they finally competed fans were RAVENOUS for them to go at it.

that's the kind of planning the WWE needs today.

makes the fans go batshit crazy for a match.

used to happen all the time.

I thought about selling the tickets..
But there are lot of tickets available on stub hub and other websites..
So why even try..
So we're making it a weekend trip..
The wife and my 4 year old son..
We're going to the wwe axcess on Friday night..
Didn't get any tickets for the hall of fame..
On Saturday..

Mania is about the atmosphere, you'll have fun.  Axcess isn't bad, there's a lot of neat activities and what not but the lines for pics/autograph are LONG, as in your four hour pass is spent waiting to meet 2 wrestlers if you're lucky.

Two years ago people were lined up for Mr Wonderful and no one knew who he was, he wasn't recognizable with the handle bar mustache, it was just an hour long line.

You might want to try wrestlecon as well. It's  all retired guys, tna and released wwe and the HOF guys getting a payday. Its cheaper cover and you have to pay for individual pics (but you don't have to get pics taken). I meet/chatted with a lot of cool old timers and guys like Carlito, Masters and Cabana.

Couldn't agree more. End of feuds and beginning of others. Some say Vince is afraid to make long range plans due to injuries and such but not sure I agree

I didn't go for all of that stuff, when WrestleMania came to Orlando. Maybe I'm just cheap but I wouldn't make a trek out of state to see WrestleMania, although I always wanted to go to one. And since WrestleMania is coming back to Orlando next year, I might go again; although, they may try to hold it in UCF's new stadium if it's bigger than the Citrus Bowl.

Speaking of New Day, is it my imagination or has New Day been beating big name guys and former WWE/World Champs left and right?

Kingston has pinned Del Rio; Big E pinned Jericho;

And the once-near-invincible Alexander Rusev got rolled up by Xavier Woods for New Day's retaining the tag titles on Raw.

Furthermore, Big E couldn't beat Rusev to save his life last year. This year, Langston put down the Bulgarian Brute quite decisively, especially on Raw.

It's like going to the Arnold expo, more about the experience and getting together with your people acting foolish.

All good I'll see you in Orlando then.

Axcess was ok..
Not a lot to do.. beside the autograph booths..
NXT show was awesome... on Friday night..
Wrestlemania was a great event.. The atmosphere and being there made it a great event to attend..
