Title: '06 Montreal Pro - Kamali vs Wolf!
Post by: Nether Animal on February 01, 2017, 10:01:07 PM
Kamali actually thought he beat Wolf here....

Also look how unbelievably awful Dillett's BDB was by this point.

I like when people see posts like this on Getbig, and someone says "This is why bodybuilding will never become mainstream."  ;D

Well - no.  It's just that pageants involving large men are not that exciting.  Doesn't really have to do with the judging, although this does kind of prove that name recognition plays a role in contest placings, given that King placed 4th at the contest and Dennis, 5th.

He had his faults for sure - and it was very clear in that photo.  However, his should-to-waist ratio was insane.  Very Goodrum-like.

I am 5'8.5" barefoot and met King at the 2007 Arnold Classic, identifying myself as a Getbigger.  ;D

He respected me, and had read my posts online as "Matt C', and gave me a free copy of my DVD!!!

However, I do not think he was even 5'8.5".  Although I suppose anywhere between 5'7 and 5'9 would be possible, dependent on his posture and footwear at the time.  He claimed 5'9.5" on Pro Bodybuilding Weekly, but I think he is probably closer to 5'8.  Not short, but not tall - and 5'10 for a bodybuilder would be closing in on the tall range.

Are you still a stickler for details when it comes to heights for Christs sake  ??

Welcome back to the fold buddy!!   :)

Dillet never knew how to do the BDB pose correctly (he didn't know how to spread his lats wide open). That being said, he never knew how to do any pose properly. He was the worst poser of all time imo.

Kamali claims 5'10/5'11....

Reasons like this are why I ignorantly assumed Wolf was like 6'2'' or the longest time He just dwarfs everyone else.

Tamali should never even be mentioned in the same sentence with Wolf.

Always read this but never hear any legit stories as to why he never got better
Never needed to practice ?
Think hanging out at Venice posing with Craigers he'd at least learn some basics ?
Did he have some kind of anatomical flaw in his joints ? Tendons ? Bone spurs ?

One of the many reps from WNBF that frequent this board so often pls call the president and ask him ?

One thing that sucks with getting older is losing your wonderful hairline.

Especially losing hair in the center like Kamali is there on top right.
