Title: IN CASE YOU'RE INTERESTED!!!
Post by: stuntmovie on November 30, 2017, 03:18:12 PM
This topic is intended to let some more or less intelligent GetBiggers become aware of some facts (more or less) that may possibly be of interest with no intent on my part to ridicule those who ain't.

Or something like that.

Some of this shit may cause some GetBiggers to ponder a posted fact or two and possibly develop something or another which may be of great value and a benefit for many generation to come.

So here goes ....

LIGHT SPEED

It is a standard fact (as opposed to a GetBig fact) that the smartest scientists, mathematicians, physicists, etc.  in the world have absolutely o idea why the speed of light in a vacuum has a speed limit of 186,282 miles per second.

Nor do they completely understand how the world and our observation of our world would change if the speed of light in a vacuum was increased or decreased  by a factor of 10%.

I will venture to say that Mr. T, Adonis and Mr. M. Champion would be the best two GetBig individuals to study this perplex problem.

And possibly with the added help of Vince G. to speed thins up a bit.

OK, SHIZZO, the next one may be of more interest then. It's not as difficult as that light speed one.

THE YET TO BE BUILT RIDER'S LAS VEGAS STADIUM ....

The first big on-site ground breaking ceremony was promoted by Mark Davis on Nov. 13 of this year. Howie Long and  Jim Plunkett along with numerous politicians and important LV business owners were in attendance.

A massive hole will soon be dug  (year's end??) in which the stadium's foundation wil sit.

The stadium will be competed  in time for the Raiders to begin playing the 2020 NFL season.

The cost to build this Las Vegas stadium will be 1.8 billion US dollars. The second most expensive stadium in US history behind Los Angeles. (What is that one costing?)

It will have 65,000 seats .... but only 2,400 on site parking spaces which wil be reserved for players coaches, team staff, and luxury suite holders. (This seems to be a major disadvantage.)

It will have 100 luxury suites.

The umber of parking spaces required by Clark County Code for a 65,00 seat stadium is 16,000 so if you are a football fan be prepared to park off site......or put on your hiking boots.

The average cost of a Personal Seat License  (PSL) is $3,846 US so a family of four would need to spend $15,384  for the right to buy season tickets. (This PLS thing is something new to me.)

So far the Raiders have received  50,000 PSL deposits for a total of  $192,300,000 but need to reach $250,000,000 to meet their stadium budget.

Here's one that I have no idea how they can comply with .....

35% of the total construction work hours must be dedicated to women and minority workers.

55% of the total stadium operating hours must be dedicated to women and minority workers.

The above is called the Raiders' proposed Community Benefits Program.

Do any GetBiggers have season tickets to professional sporting events?

you're wasting your time, stunt. Shizzo's only interest is being recognized. or seen as a great 'getbigger' (lol). he tried the troll approach, he tried the im one of the guys approach, he tried proclaiming himself king, he's tried the gay approach, now he's trying a 'i dont give a fuck', persecution complex tactic. rather than just be himself, he's tried way to hard over the years to try and fit in.

Thanks, BIFF, but I have no problem with anyone on or off this board regarding what they say and how they say it.

But  I do thank you for the advice.

I've had the advantage of working with disturbed individuals for the majority of my lifetime... couple of whom committed suicide due to my own stupidity of not foreseeing their pending doom.

Not saying that Shizzo is that kind of individual ... but it seems that he would be a good study case for one  with more professional experience than myself.

RATHER, I sorta/kinda recall that Bill Starr mentioned 'speed' of lifting during some of his powerlifting seminars. But I have long forgotten if he recommended fast speed or slow speed. (Get it up fast or get it up gradually?)

And Tonny Kono mentioned likewise during one of his many Olympic Lifting coaching assignments.

Both gone now but always remembered.

And I should have mentioned Timmy Leong in the above also, but that's a slow speed bodybuilding story for someplace below.

OK ... Here's something that may cause some excitement

It might have been about 20 years ago when a few of my associates attended a fight in which one combatant kicked the shit out of the other combatant even when one was knocked flat on his back and half way comatose.

I tend to believe that this fight was promoted in Colorado but I could be wrong.

Apparently this was slightly before any type of fighting organization was organized.

But a few fans in attendance saw the future and placed big bucks in the proverbial pot and made it grow.

But one such wealthy friend saw pending lawsuits and opted out and walked away with his bankroll still in tact. (He regrets it now!)

But two brothers kicked in $2 million and waited.

And just this year those two brothers sold their interest and collected Four Billion US Dollars (I cannot spell $4,000,000,000) and made a hefty bank deposit .

The details and the dates of this story have escaped my mind so if anyone is able to provide the datails ... Shizzo and many others may find it of great interest.

And if you are a true fan of this extreme fighting game, you might be able to answer the following questions .....

Who paid the $4 Billion and owns it now?

What else does this guy own?

Why did the brothers true down the $5 Billion offer and who made that offer?

Who are the brothers who sold their interest?

All the answers are out  there somewhere!
