I haven't been paying attention to the NPC Nationals and USAs until recently so I might have missed something along the way. But, how did Idrise Ward-el turn pro again? If I'm not mistaken, he beat out a best-ever Mat Duvall for the title in 2003. HOW?? I'm sure Idrise is a fantastic person, but phyique wise I can't see it. Ward-el has the narrowest clavicles i've ever seen on a bodybuilder this side of a bantamweight. Was it because of Mat's synthol rumours? I know I'm a little late but I need some help figuring this out

Thats an older pic of Idrise...I also beleive you are looking at 2 different weight classes. Last I heard Idise was out of commission for one or 2 blown quads...
-
at least it was a fair comparison as you used pictures of them both in contest shape...oh, nevermind
-

Idrise retired after suffering multiple muscle tears :-\
-
had an enormous roid jaw, thats all i remember him for
-
I thought it was a GH jaw but who knows. Idris had a good physique, but didn't strike me as the most disciplined guy. A little too weak in spirit and soft in heart to make it in this biz. Or as I like to say, "He was no Titus."

Roid jaw huh? If he would have had better roid muscles he may have made it as a pro.

RETIRED FROM QUAD TEARS??!!
Everbody tears their quads - Mishko, Vic Martinez, Garrett Downing, Marcus Haley, Ronnie Coleman, Art Atwood . . . shouldn't result in retirement - even Sarcev is coming back. Atwood? he'll prolly join PDI . . .
