Jon Delarosa and his wife are splits-Ville
Jon it's not too late to go back to the Elevator Repair job!
-Good salary
-Full Pension
-Health Benefits
-Respectful trade
Give up the BB dream - you are stuck as a second tier pro - you can have a long healthy successful life
-
Who?

Found his photo. Know nothing about him otherwise.

Nice. John’s on the market now. Schmoe away

Yeah that's him
He had a successful Elevator Repair Union gig and gave it all up to chase a plastic trophy

That’s Juan Morel?

Get back to work. Throw away your syringes. Continue to work out. Laugh at the plastic trophy winners. You will have a family and a house with a nice retirement.

This iconic split will cause reverberations that will be felt for decades, if not more.

It always astounds me how negative people on here - on a BODYBUILDING BOARD - towards successful BBer's life choices.
Most good trainers make an excellent living, so I'm sure a pro if his calibre is charging $100-200 an hour. Which is more than youre average GP / Doctor make in an hour. Plus they get to do what they are interested in and chase their dreams at the same time. Does that sounds so bad??
I'd rather work as a successful PT and compete as a pro than repair elevators FFS.
But its so obvious that this sentiment is coming out of jealousy. If it wasnt you wouldn't care. So you can go on about plastic trophy's and destroying your health etc, but the reality is you spend a large portion of your time on a BB board, so you'd prolly give whats left of your life to have his for just one month.
I dont know Delarosa's specific details but he's friends with Jose Raymond who seems to be doing just fine in his youtube videos. Building a new house etc.
Let go of the hate and jealousy bro, its only holding you back and making you miserable.

Thats not Delarosa. Thats Juan Diesel Morel.

Most Pro's have exactly what you;ve just outlined but dont work for the man. Add in nice cars and hot women in shape too though.

Thanks for the correction, AUSBB.

Are you out of your mind? What bodybuilder is making $100 an hour personal training? If they are do they have 8 clients lined up for an 8 hour day? Once their syringe life style is over and people see what their physique is actually like no one will pay them for any advice.

There are 22 year old girls in my gym who arent even in good shape making $90 an hour training people. If you're not aware of that then you must live in a marginal socio-economic area or just need to get out more.
Palumbo just had a trainer on (who was never a pro but trains a few pros) who charges $100-200 an hour.
Why would Pro's not keep making money after they retire? They're knowledge base is still there. Palumbo and even guys like Boston Loyd make great money training people over the internet FFS.
Being a Pro makes you extremely visible and and knowledgeable. The rich housewife or stressed out banker values that when they are choosing a trainer to get in shape for a wedding or get healthy or whatever.
How else do you think these pro's are building great new houses, driving hot cars, keeping hot women, travelling the world etc? Are YOU doing all of those things? Are you doing ANY of those things? Be honest with yourself and apply the same level of scrutiny cynicism as you do when judging these pro's you are so critical of.
Their financial status after they retire from competing should, if anything, improve because they have more time to devote to their business without the stresses of dieting and competing. But they've built huge credibility and visibility by competing as a Pro. Yes, the plastic trophy can be bought for $20. But what the trophy represents to clients is actually worth a lot.

I can't believe Morel competes at 245-lb, or at least used to. I swear, he looks 265-lb. Great frame.

Starting a physical supplement store is a pretty dumb career move. You can never compete with online shops.

Unless he sells other "things" under the counter.

That would be a pretty dumb thing. It only takes one undercover cop to blow his business...
