I've been on here for awhile. I believe I have been consistent in calling out cops who were caught doing illegal things or lying. In my career, I was part of a chain of command that fired an officer for lying about being on a contract at a movie theater to get him and his family free tickets. I'd say that's a pretty good indicator of me holding officers accountable. I was involved in firing an officer for lying about having his siren on prior to a crash. For me, honesty, integrity and honor are part of the makeup of a good cop. If you aren't honest or get caught in a lie, you lost credibility. That's probably why Trump irritates me so much. I spent a lot of years in a career where telling the truth was important and lying was despised. I agree not every officer lived up to that, but they should have.

Just like he lied about the Obamacare mandate. Told Democrats in Congress it wasn't a tax to convince them to vote for it. Then when it was challenged in court, claimed it was a tax. After it was upheld by the Supreme Court as a tax, looked the public right in the face and claimed it wasn't a tax.

What's the difference between the truth and a lie? Are you serious? The only way he was able to convince Democrats to support the individual mandate was to tell them it was not a tax. To then turn around and claim it was a tax in court was dishonest. Then to come after it was upheld and say it was not a tax was a flat out lie.

Mental health professionals suggest that once a pedophile acts on their desires, there is almost no chance they can be cured. Given that, I believe that these criminals should be incarcerated indefinitely. The risk of re-occurrence is too great.
The mental health community believes that active pedophilia can be prevented if the pedophile has not yet acted on their deviant desires. If this is possible, it would reduce the number of victims.... the children. IMO, prevention should be our focus.

I get that the CIA have to keep things secret in order to fulfill a mission, but when a representative of the government speaks to us, we SHOULD be able to believe what they say., If they can't tell us the truth, they shouldn't say anything. There have been a few occasions where i took the time to search his stories on less anti cop sites and found many of his posts are very one sided. I don't want to say they are bogus, but some hinge on the edge of that. and I have pointed that out on many ocassions so that perhaps those reading that thread will figure out they need to do some research on their own. If I see you or someone else I know post I might click on it and look at whats going on. My silence just means I am not in the business of addressing every single incident skeletor thinks is an abuse of power. I acknowledge some of them exists. I have just researched enough of his posts to know a percentage were written by Alex Jones types and it is mentally exhausting to point out as I have on occasion the "rest of the story", the truth is not his concern from what I have gathered over following that thread for years, but any source that prints an anti police story gets posted there.

I have no aversion to capital punishment. I agree with you that a convicted pedophile should be put to sleep like a horse with a broken leg
But.. I know people who are against the death penalty no matter what. I don't get it but that's their position. He seems consistent about it.

When the economy grows, my investments also grow and I love this. As a retired person, this is one of the few ways, I can feel a tiny bit secure that my income can keep me out of the poorhouse. Your reasoning suggests to me that I should disregard presidential lying, because it is irrelevant to that purpose.

I was wondering why this same person who has probably said when confronted with Trumps blatant lies "As long as the economy is doing well I don't care" didn't apply the same metric to Obama. From 2008 until Obama left office the market was on the rise and unemployment was on the trend down that continues today. 1. He made a campaign promise to "end the war in Iraq."
2. He didn't end the war in Iraq. The Status of Forces Agreement that allowed us to remain in Iraq expired and was supposed to be renegotiated. Being the incompetent empty suit he was, Obama failed to negotiate a new SOFA.
3. We left Iraq because we had no new SOFA, not because Obama took any affirmative steps to end the war.
4. Obama campaigned for reelection, claiming he promised to end the war in Iraq, and he did.
5. When ISIS took over large portions of Iraq, Obama then claimed we only left because we had no SOFA (i.e., he didn't end the war in Iraq, they asked us to leave because Obama sabotaged the new SOFA).
Using your retarded logic, the war was ending anyway when the SOFA expired, so Obama is free to take credit for "ending the war," even after he says we only left because we got asked to leave.
