Boy has this sport fallen far from where it once was. What a joke.

There were other lower-tiered shows that they showed highlights from as well. Then you had those 5-minute segments where Flex and Mike Matarazzo would teach people how to do tricep pushdowns like this:

I am confused? Are you saying that IHerb sponsoring this event with Musclepharm isn't good? Or are you just irked that a website that caters to bodybuilding is telling people about the 2018 Olympia Webcast and how to watch it?
In any case, nice to see the webcast continue for all people that cannot make it to Vegas to see it around the world.
-

it was on espn but with a something like a 3 month tape delay in the 90's, i think 2000 and 2001 were a webcast
it was on PPV from 2002 - 2005 and then 2006 went back to webcast

Those aren't really the points I made. Don't worry about it.

The hallmark of something being relevant is that it's available on cable sports or via purchase on pay-per-view. Webcasts to me are on the same level as podcasts and YouTube "TV".
Those were the days, they certainly were.

Really interesting stuff.
Meanwhile a video about Jason Blaha, who's neither a bodybuilder nor connected to any famous channels like Nick's, has 162,000 views in under a month on YouTube. ;)
Update: 65,000 views
Whoa, 65K. I'll tell Drake and Rihanna to pack up their virtual suitcases with that kind of heat on their heels.

maybe but watching it on live webcast is more convenient than waiting months for espn to show it at 2 am, or paying $30 to watch it on PPV

At one time, perhaps - but now, the convenience of watching it all over the world via the internet and streaming is so much better for many - especially on this type of contest.

KWON, Within your mind it may be falling, but this Olympia Week happens to be big business here in Las Vegas drawing many thousands into town rmaking the hotel room rates go skyward.
The Expo in itself (Friday and Saturday) will draw many thousands making this town enjoy a very profitable week which it damn well needs since the BOYZ departed.
And the total number of contestants in all these events have not been made known but will definitely exceed a couple of thousand who have paid high figures to win a plastic trophy.
There is nothing about the Olympia that is falling down.
And hopefully all the contenders will remain upright this time out!
-
KWON3 you negative prick stop being so pessimistic, if you don't like the sport why are you here? Plenty of other threads you can enter.
-
can't wait for our sports super bowl tonight 8)

Because it got you all upset. I was expecting this a week ago, though. Those slow burns are the worst. ;)

I wish you could've convinced Mr. Levrone to participate.

In and Out signal.
I hope it's corrected before the oiled up men in thongs show us their striated glutes.

This stream is absolute crap.

worst stream ever

Is it working for anybody?
With the exception of when Amazon did it, has it ever?
I've tried 2 laptops both with Chromecast and diirect HDMI. 1 didn't work at all and other goes either in and
Out or the play works but it says "live stream offline" across the center of the screen.
It's been over 10 years of webcasts. Why not stick with the one that got it right 4 once?
-
worst stream ever
E
Possibly worse than Flex's venture! I guess e hope 4 the best or wait for the replay

Signal drops right as Chick says, "Who likes Classic Physique?".
-
Haven’t been watching it continuously (have other things to do, I’m a busy guy) but when I have the stream is fine.
-
Try YouTube 2018 Mr Olympia live strram...two are working much better
Wish I got to see the bitches. Some of routines seemed good.
-
the youtube stream working better for me.
I watched the women fine on iherb - but when it came to the men, it got choppy - go figure :-D
-
I don't even know any of these guys outside the 212 and the open l. I rather have seen the fitness chicks.
Seems the YouTube stream is fucked now as well
-
It just completely black now - what a terrible webcast.
-
None of the live streams work. Shittier than last year. I'm not going to bother.
-
You can blame that idiot Manion
-
It seems as though they just shut down their stream completely. lol

Here's their chat response...

We ask for your patience in this matter.
Valued Customer
the show is over, why would anyone stay up a couple more hours. shouldn't you have done your maintenance b4 starting the broadcast?

Webcast works just fine. Now prejudging. Ramy lookw huge. All look like waterblobs.
-
Kuclo looks small. Rami is wide af.
-
Worked fine all the way through for me - in fact it's made me want to buy some iHerb Combat powder (or something like that...) - but then again I did use the YouTube version so that might be the tip for tomorrow...
Random question: Why is Bob 'Fat Neck' Chick still on the Dbol..?
Oh, and everyone should be forced to adopt Flex Lewis's occasional version of the 'standing semi-relaxed' pose - with one hand approaching or even laying on the hip. It looks much cooler than the spatchcock chicken stance that has become prevalent...
Bring on the posedown!

When I was in college you could get this on PPV. I remember in 03 I think, whatever year Ronnie was 296 a bunch of us sat around and watched it. Had girls there too, and it was like watching a freak show.
-
So, dumb question--has anybody figured out how to get the video to go fullscreen? I can't find any controls anywhere to do that. F11 is the best I can do but that annoying iHerb toolbar is still up there.
-
double click on the screen.

It went full screen for me when I would Chromecast it. It was fairly solid until the men's comparisons then it just crashed.

The replays on Vimeo have the fullscreen option, but the live stream did not have that option, at least not for me anyway.
