Mutt appears to be well proportioned and healthier to me.

Amazing how humans ruined dog breeds and thing like hip dysplasia is considered "breed standard" and wins championships for it
Look at squished faced dogs like pugs everyone loves... they can't even friggin breathe properly.

Yes, some breeds really suffered a lot as a result of dumbass breeding practices.
This is why purebreds are often seen as unhealthy, and why many people think breeders suck.

(basically says that purebreds are healthier because via inbreeding and careful, selective breeding, we’re able to breed out a lot of issues and health concerns).
Great Pyrenees, Caucasian/Central Asian Shepherds (actually lots of shepherds like Belgian/Malinois, Tervuren, Berger Blanc Suisse, Dutch, Kunming - which is what I’d get if I wanted a GSD, they look the same but no issues), all the ancient Irish breeds (water spaniels, wolfhounds, Kerry Beagles & Blue Terriers, Wheaten Terriers), Cairn Terriers, Beagles, Ibizan & Pharaoh Hounds, all Huskies & Malamutes, Setters, working Spaniel lines… there really are many of these I could keep going

Over the course of a lifetime, my many dogs have been both mutts and purebreds and there seems to be little difference between them. AKC registered purebreds are more expensive to buy. In my experience large breed dogs have shorter lifespans than the little guys.
