https://www.tmz.com/2019/02/28/luke-perry-stroke-riverdale-beverly-hills-90210-hospitalized/
Luke Perry suffered a massive stroke Wednesday, and is currently hospitalized ... TMZ has learned.
Paramedics responded to Luke's home in Sherman Oaks around 9:40 AM. We know the call came into the fire department for someone suffering a stroke, and Luke was transported to a nearby hospital. It's unclear what his condition is right now.
-
He's my age... yikes.
He always looked older than he was... must be the forehead wrinkles.
I'm sure he lived a decent life and banged a lot of women.
-
Perry's under observation. A representative for the actor told CNN on Thursday that "Mr. Perry is currently under observation at the hospital."
The spokesperson would not elaborate about what led to his hospitalization.

steroids?
-
He's 52.
-
I went to the same high school as Perry. He is/was a local celebrity in my hometown. He was the high school mascot and did crazy shit like parachute onto the football field before a game, stage fights with other teams mascots, etc, etc. He had a magnetic personality and you could tell he was going to be famous. When I was in 6th grade he came to our school (from the high school) in his mascot bird suit and talked to us and he was already like a celebrity to us years before Hollywood.

Would never have thought of him as the high school mascot.

Because he likely did a smorgasboard of drugs back in the day, which likely increased his chance of a number of medical ailments.
Of course, millions of people who never use drugs have a stroke, but substance use/abuse will greatly increase the risk of a stroke, especially when it happens below the average age.
You can only stick these toxins into your body for so long before it hits back.

Coach would argue he was genetically predisposed to this condition.

Zero to do with cocaine use.
His 7th cousin, 5x separated from him, had a stroke in 1854. Clearly genetic.

When someone gets to be my age, the risk of having a stroke increases. Men are more prone to strokes then are women. High blood pressure and high cholesterol are contributing factors to strokes as is diabetes.

So is drug abuse.

Wouldn't old age also be a key factor?

Beverly Hills lol I remember that
I think it's pretty safe to say 90's fashion will never make a strong comeback :-X

I liked the fact that clothes were generally looser fitting. All this slim fit crap makes no sense considering most of the younger people I see are are not slim. Even basic sweatpants are make slimmer and called "joggers".
-
Dude has a championship forehead.
I have always liked the guy (no homo). From 90210, him and Jason Priestly were likely the only two decent folks in real life.
Doherty is thoroughly despised by all with whom she works.
All the best to the skinny stud muffin.

Goodmorrow,
Jerry Lee Lewis has a stroke and is expected to make a full recovery.
Luke Perry has a stroke and is in a medically induced coma.
Hard Living Pays off...ask Keith Richards.
STAY POSITIVE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Atrial Fibrillation maybe, considering his age.

And that’s the point we try to make but drug users and addicts always make 50 million excuses to justify their usage

Aging sucks. EVERY SINGLE Young, vibrant, attractive person will lose their health, their looks and eventually their life. Life doesn't begin at 50, it begins to end at 50 and you start seeing the finish line, whether 10 or 30 years away, youll be asleep or on the internet(same thing) for well over half of that anyway.

I'm only a few years from the beginning of the end. :'(

Most seniors I know (if they are healthy) didn't start seeing the finish line until about age 65. The finish line becomes more visible when the health problems and mobility issues begin.

Lol..No but you will see the world differently. Youll see the finish line. Could still be a ways away, but actually brings peolle calm. That toughness and fight during the race, blocking out emotions for achievement, that ends around 50 and "were all dying" isn't just a cute phrase millenials say over lattes. Im not far behind.

As a teenager at the time in high school, I remember being really surprised(and happy) with the success of the show because at that time the media was just forcing Gangsta rap and grunge down teens throats. Everyone was "keeping it real" and white kids were kind of being bashed after the whole Vanilla Ice debacle. Here comes the whitest show with the whitest name and BOOM that shit hit. Black kids, white, were all enjoying the harmless fun while the media was thinking we all wanted to be Kurt Cobain, miserable and hard.
Back then, the media didn't have COMPLETE control over kids minds like now, where they scurry around to check their instagram. Kids and teens had a little say in how pop culture would be. Those days are over now.

If social media/internet existed back then like now, it would have been all over the same

Good health is the key factor. Many older healthy folks never suffer a stroke.

The tattoo fad has lasted longer than I thought it would. About 50-70% of the kids who are getting inked will eventually regret it and want them removed. A tattoo removal laser machine costs $75K to 150K. Seems like a great business to get involved with.

It is. I know several people looking to get stuff removed from their neck, hands and face. It's expensive and the state only pays for so many sessions.

I just don't get the tattoo thing but then I don't have arms like Lee Priest (did ;) ). California doesn't regulate Tattoo Parlors (as far as I know) and according to the Red Cross and other blood banks, you cannot donate blood if you've been tattooed in California. I have a somewhat rare blood type so I will never get tattooed.
My blood type is very rare here. It's C++++ As in CONSERVATIVE++++. ;D
Actually it is kinda rare but not as much as it was 40+ years ago. But I give as often as I can tolerate doing so.

Tattoo shops are regulated here. I've donated blood. You just can't donate within a certain number of months of your last tattoo.
-

Really? Red Cross keeps telling me otherwise. I would look (even more) retarded with a tattoo so it's safe to say that I will never get one. Especially at my age. ;D
-
From the Red Cross website:
“Wait 12 months after a tattoo if the tattoo was applied in a state that does not regulate tattoo facilities. Currently, the only states that DO NOT regulate tattoo facilities are: District of Columbia, Georgia, Idaho, Maryland, Massachusetts, Nevada, New Hampshire, New York, Pennsylvania, Utah and Wyoming. This requirement is related to concerns about hepatitis. Learn more about hepatitis and blood donation.
A tattoo is acceptable if the tattoo was applied by a state-regulated entity using sterile needles and ink that is not reused. Cosmetic tattoos applied in a licensed establishment in a regulated state using sterile needles and ink that is not reused is acceptable. You should discuss your particular situation with the health historian at the time of donation.”

What an ignorant comment, re: metal music.
Heavy metal is the most enduring substyle of rock music.
Almost 50 years and it’s still evolving and remaining relevant.

Fortress, honest question, Im an older guy and didn't think much hard shit existed today. I really miss hard rock/metal of my youth. Seen a few douchy young bands that hold guitars but definetly isn't rock.
I know Slipnot is around but could you just throw 2 3 names of modern hard rock or metal I could check out? Or is ot pretty much older bands bands that are still making music?(nothing wrong with that)
TIA

Soon The Holywood scum will all be rushing to their social media accounts, where they know Luke will be trending, to offer their "Heartfelt condolences" and get a ton of press. All of them are of course "heartbroken". You will be able to see their "heartbreak" on their Instagram, Twitter and Facebook accounts.Guarantee most barely knew the guy and/or Luke thought they were a total asshole. Get ready.

It is interesting that you have had these conversations with Red Cross employees and volunteers about tattoos when you don't have one. I imagine most folks just answer the question yes or no when they're asked about having any tattoos.

Well, I don't really know if it is interesting (intredasteding? ;D ) but I merely wanted to know the reason(s) why this was so. Ergo, I axed 'em. ;) ;D
I may be mentally slow (and in some ways I truly am) but that does not mean I am without my moments of lucidity. 'n' sheit. ;D
