Title: vastus medialis m. injections
Post by: shortfatugly on April 16, 2006, 11:59:11 AM
Just how painful would these be anyhoo.?  Shooting Prop or Enan for example.

Couldn't be any worse than quad shots for me as they leave my thigh sore for 2 days afterwards.

Anyone ever shoot there and if so, how long did the soreness last?

I love this site.

First time I did it I was VERY sore for the next 2 days, swore I'd never shoot there again.  After that, no problems at all.  I've not injected more than 2 cc per side, and I use a 23g, 1" needle.  Typically my volume is 4cc, so I split it up and inject both sides at the same sitting.

Access is very easy and comfortable, and it can be done sitting down, which I like.  Hit it right in the center of the muscle belly.

As of now, it is the only spot I've ever done that I can't tolerate. I've tried it 2x and both times were a bit unbarable.

Only 2 days? Both times I did this it lasted up to a wk...I'm still swearing to never pin this spot again.

I think I'll try pinning that spot on Wednesday.

Freaker,

What are you shooting that you need two 2cc shots to get everything in?

Must be a nice cycle.

It's 4cc total (Galenika test e 250mg/ml x 2 and Organon deca 250mg/2ml x 1), twice per week.

My second cycle is winding down.  I'm on 1000mg test e and 500mg deca per week, as well as 50mg winny per day.

Bodyweight is at 233 lbs, 5' 9'', around 10% bodyfat.
This is up from 200lbs exactly 1 year ago, 2 cycles later.

As you may recall, I started lifting at age 13, and got "serious" at about age 16, choosing bodybuilding/powerlifting over football in high school.  I did several cycles in my 20's, and I've been as big as 265lbs.  I was off all AAS for about 15 years (but still lifting), and had been stable at around 200lbs for the past 7 or 8 years.

All-in-all it's been a great year, and I've been very happy with the gains.  My present cycle ends in about 3 weeks (it was a 20-weeker, that also included d-bol as a jumpstart and EQ at 600mg per week).  My plan is to stay off until at least next February or March.  We'll see.

Freaker,

How does 1G ew feel to you?

You think 500MG Deca ew is necessary?

I think you could get by on 400MG just fine with that cycle.  That extra 100MG ew is not going to make any negligible difference.

1000mg test felt fantastic.

You are probably quite correct about the deca dosage.  It was really just a matter of convenience, as the deca came in a 250mg/2ml vial.

Any reason you chose Enanthate over Sustanon or another ester?

What sides did you notice at 1G ew?

Speak...

No particular reason, really.  Test e was available from my source.  I've used sustanon in the past, though.  For my next cycle I may revisit it.  Test is test, as you know, and I was meticulous about pinning every Monday and Thursday so I think I was able to keep my blood levels constant.

I really experienced no sides at all, other than at the very beginning when I realized my femara was bogus.  It took awhile, though.  At first I thought it was the d-bol.  I started nolva quickly and got it to go away within a few days, but it came right back when I stopped. I doubled the femara dosage to no avail, and was experiencing excessive bloating, depressed libido and a wicked resurgance of old gyno.  I restarted nolva, and then made the switch to arimidex.  Almost immediately, the bloating dissipated, gyno went away and my sex drive returned.

Here's a picture of the letrozole I took.  I got it from a Canadian internet pharmacy.  I'll never do that again.  Now I just write my own scripts for the ancillaries.

This was all at the first 3-4 weeks, and after that no problems at all.

Knew I wanted to go medical school for some reason....... ;)

Doc, on another note, I know a few docs who prescribe themselves various meds....sleep aids, sexual aids, etc.  My question is what kind of ethical issues do you guys face?  Is there ever an issue?  Obviously this ain't gh, slin, megadoses of test etc.

His scripts are reviewable by the FDA and governing boards like any other doctor, so he can't just write them for whatever he wants without some justification.

Checks and balances.

Sure, 'The Agency' as they're called in practice, reviews them, but I'm wondeing what types of flags might be raised by a doc writing his own scripts.

I do have concerns over it, but I pay cash for the meds so I'm not passing it in under my health insurance.  The compounds aren't illegal or dangerous, or ones that would impair my abilities to perform as a surgeon.  I have not, and would not, prescribe myself anabolics.  That's likely asking for trouble, just like if I was prescribing myself narcotics.

You could get away with self-prescribing some Deca for the joint therapeutic benefits.

Docs have done this, plus ortho is your area.
