Doctors/Teachers/Cops/Firemen/Military should be paid the most, they do the most to Society and the People.
Unfortunately the Politicians (corrupt or not) hog most of it.
Entertainers in general are paid WAY too much.

I found out about it on Fox business. They cover it because the Emmys are on Fox. I’m hoping that when this deal goes through where Disney takes over fox’s entertainment division I won’t have to deal with this anymore.

Movie ticket is $15. A parking ticket in LA is $63 (this for the meter running over). A doctor visit is a few hundred dollars. I pay alot in taxes.
My neighbor is a firefighter engineer and he makes $250k. I know multiple teachers who are at 100k.
Those professions do fine.
You dont like movies or entertainment dont watch.

Cool "Dan". How many firefighters do you know? What are their salary's?
Look up transparent California. You can search any state employee by name and it will reveal their income.
Also are these ranges for teachers salaries? A first year teacher in Wyoming makes 43k and a 30 year vet makes 56k? Is that what this information shows? How much do you think they should be paid?
-
NJ teachers top out around $90k after 20+ years service. NY likewise.

Exactly
-
You gotta remember that these thespians' salaries are based on the number of movie tickets purchased by GetBiggers, Firemen, doctors, lawyers, and Indian chiefs for those movies in which they appear.
In fact ... you guys are paying those salaries beause you purchase movie tickets.
PS... Here in Vegas mid-day tickets are $3 - $5 and parking is free ... put it'll cost ya $10 for a box/bag of popcorn.
So if you feel the need to reduce these so called movie star salaries, you should watch those high salaried star movies in Las Vegas.
I think I'm off topic once again .... but my brother is a retired San Fran fireman and I think he gets a check in the amount of $5,000 each month.
But it could have been much higher if he had spent more time attending fireman continuing education classes before his retirement.

Firemen in California with OT make that depending on level and from what I understand from my firemen friends they can get as much OT as they ask for

Hollyweird, glad I've never even seen an award show in my entire life, never appealed to me.
Now a days it s a total retard-fukk fest.
Now Ghey Bob DeNiro comes out, slobbering on himself, looking 90 years old and insane and drooling "FukK tRumP" like he's someone, really embarrassing for the old fukk-tard.
Retard Society of piss...

According to this 26 firefighters in LA alone made over 200k last year.
Do you still think i'm lying "Dan18"?

Top pay after 22 years with graduate degree for NYC teachers is 119k. Its 105k with lower level of education.
-
Acting has always been in horrible career choice and will only get worse as Hollywood declines even further. These high paid actors and actresses are a tiny tiny fraction of the overall group, most don’t make anything.

Agreed. I think the average is under $10,000 a year for actors but we only hear of the rich and famous. Most of the girls who leave the midwest and south to find their dreams in Hollywood end up sucking cock for $20 in Los Angeles's back allies. Practically every waiter, waitress, bartender and barista in LA is waiting for their big break. ::)

I was thinking of upstate NY.
NYC is another planet sort of.
-
No one can complain about their pay as they agreed to it. If teachers don't make enough then don't go into that field.
-
Hollywood is dead.
No cop or firefighter in California makes less than $100,000 per year and that's an absolute minimum. I personally know THREE cops each making $240,000+ and ONE firefighter that makes $190,000+. More power to them.
They are public employees- as mentioned earlier anyone can go online and see their full compensation.

The entertainment industry has more people making a steady living than ever. I have friends who work in front of the camera and in production. The ones on the production side can barely keep up with the offers. A lot of the acting ones (and I'm talking about actors based in NYC, not LA) keep steady gigs through the "new york circuit" , which now includes a bunch of cable shows and streaming. When I moved to New York almost 20 years ago, the "new york circuit" was basically being an extra on the different Law and Order series. Most of them have decent social media followings and make money from that, too. People can see the winners and all the best bits of an awards show on twitter as the awards show is on, so of course things like that aren't going to continue to do well. Stuff like that used to be the only place people could see celebrities, now all they have to do is open up instagram on their phones.
