Someone mentioned him recently in another thread so I thought I'd take a peek: 7 Feb squatting 7 and a half plates here...
Looking good for 31 years old.
Nice shade of purple (believe it's know as 'Boysenberry/Oxymethelone')
Anyone know if he is still associated in any way with RedCon1..?

(No I haven't tampered with the color saturation)

unusually deep and marked (very high androgen related i'm speculating) grooves on that young man's face
We've had this discussion here before.
Apparently -according to Jordan ,himself -the grooves are from the oxygen mask he wears for his sleep apnoea.
sounds totally believable
he must be tightening that sucker real hard
according to Jordan though, forehead wrinkles are formed when sleeping face down on pillows with loose/wrinkled pillow sheets

More squat session wisdom from a week ago - i look like I have been punched in the face as I just did 7 and half plates and now going back in for a back off set. I am fascinated by human potential , it’s a big driving force for me , in terms of pushing levels of muscularity and pushing strength. Now, because of social media , human potential is rocketing , if your not pulling 400kg from the floor - you aren’t relevant in the pull game ( and man it won’t be long until 500 is a regular thing either ) , if you aren’t pressing the 100kg dumbells or incline barbell pressing 5 plates , you aren’t relevant in the Push game.......it is all one big game - well it is in my head , but it’s a game I want to be good at ! This mindset blurs lines a lot between powerlifting and bodybuilding , so if your a bodybuilder , please just standardise your form to reap the benefits. The game gives you a chance to push your limits every time you step in the gym, can you beat your best 8 rep, your best 20 rep lift ? ( with good form, meh so boring that has to be said over and Over) Who inspires you to push for more? - tag your favs so we can watch their stuff. For me , squatting - it’s @85gunit , I think about him a lot because he so damn good but also so damn nice and always helps me when I ask, so check him out. #trainedbyjp 📽 @magiceyemedia
That's a condition called "Argyria". The man in the photo is Paul Karason. The press reported his story in 2007, and those pictures are real.
Taffin did not tamper with the colour saturation on that photo. ;D
Karason consumed homemade silver chloride colloid and used a silver salve on his face. :-X
He passed away in 2013 of a heart attack and a stroke [I think both at the same time].
This blurb was from the Instagram page linked in the OP.
With respected to the bolded portion of the blurb above:
[1] Is social media the driving force behind the recent increases in gains on the deadlift? I would attribute it to {1} use of the elephant bar that has more bend than the regular bar, and so breaking inertia doesn't start until a little later into the lift, {2} the straps that allow the bar to hang down a little more than conventional straps, and {3} the fact that generally, those lifting 1000-lb [454-kg] are strongman, where hitching is allowed. I don't think that the deadlift has gone up very much in standard powerlifting terms since Andy Bolton's 1003-lb deadlift at the WPC World's in 2006:
[2] Even using the above standards above [wonky elephant bar, extra strength/grip straps, and strongman form with hitching], does anyone think that 500-kg will be a regular thing? I mean - how many guys currently do 454-kg [1000-lb]? I know we have Eddie Hall, Hafthor Bjornsson, Brian Shaw, Jerry Pritchett, Jean-Francois Caron, in addition to Andy Bolton [whose record in real raw deadlift is, I believe, 1009-lb in 2009], and Benedikt Magnússon [who hit 1015-lb in 2011]. I know I am probably missing some other 1000-lb deadlifters in there. Still though - even if there are 12 guys who can deadlift 1000-lb, I don't think we can really call it a "regular thing". I guess it's open to opinion what exactly "regular thing" means.
I admire his motivation - and after seeing him talk normally, I was happy to say he looked younger than he did when he was turning purple from deep squatting, but I must say - I do fear for the health of these guys. As much as I enjoy being entertained by them, I don't want them to die for me.
You know?
Thanks Taffin. I feel good about myself for looking 10 years younger than that guy despite being 10 years older.
So far ive learned about sleep induced aging with wrinkles from sleeping on your face with loose covered pillows and oxygen masks causing facial lines. Now i'm wondering about the damage of sun/eye glasses and hats[1].
My major concern is we are 15 comments deep and NO ONE has pointed out the fact that this squat is done on a Smith machine[2].....

Hi Matt.
I just wanted you to know that these lifts that are taking place have ZERO to do with you or your entertainment. These guys never once thought they'll "win one for the Matter."
I'm sorry to be so blunt but its something I thought you should know and I'd rather you hear this from Getbig and not find out some other way that could be embarrassing to you.
Possibly the ugliest man ever to exist
That may be true for all of us as individuals...but I can't help but to wonder if, collectively, the sum of all fandom that these guys receive is part of why they do it.
In other words - if the powerlifting and strongman fan base wasn't what it was, and the social media Likes weren't what they were, as well as prize money wasn't as high [more fans = more prize money], etc, would these guys still be driven to achieve what they do?
Are there any guys anywhere in the world who have taken powerlifting to that level who weren't doing it for the love of the fans and the prize money, and all the other recognition that comes with it, at that level?
Then I ask myself - is it the fans in general, who drive the market, causing these guys to push themselves at that level? If yes, then how am I contributing to the aggregate demand in that market? It's not a matter of me doing it individually - it's that I am part of the overall market that pushes these guys to the next level.
I remember in 2002, my friend was saying I should stop eating meat. I told him I don't eat very much meat, and only result in a few animals being killed each year. He said "Yes, but you're contributing to aggregate demand." He wasn't wrong.
Although speaking of being wrong, this video says Andy Bolton hit a 1008-lb deadlift in 2009, not 1009-lb as I said it was. Although it sounds like the announcer calls it 457.5-kg, which is 1008.6-lb. Here is the video:
^ Bolton's lockout looked better than his lockout for 1003-lb did in 2006. :)
Matt did you compete in Thunderbay's strongest man because of the attention or "fandom"? Or did you compete because you wanted to see find out what you were capable of, to find out how you strength measured against other competitors?
These are all "vanity"/self focused endeavors. The "fans" are minuscule. Even with its "popularity" being at an all time high most of these contests aren't attended unless there is some other event tied to it.
Its competition bro.
That's a good question, Dave D.I was in the gym training alone starting in the year 2000, with no attention, because the Thunder Bay strength athletic scene didn't start until 2006, the "Thunder Bay's Strongest Man" strongman promotion itself didn't start until 2011 - celebrating contest #10 this year! - and social media wasn't a thing in the year 2000.
That being said, I can't say it hurt to be part of all the local social media surrounding the promotion. The best part was, was that even though there was not a 170-lb class in Canada [under CAASA] starting in 2017, there were routinely 200-/210-/215-lb classes, and I would compete in these classes. This allowed me to compete in TBSM to weights more suitable to my body size, and still get the local social benefits of competing in "Thunder Bay's Strongest Man". ;D
And honestly - if you're deadlifting 475-lb and bench pressing 325-lb @170, it's not as if the average woman really knows the difference between the level you're at, and the 20-50 guys in town who are stronger.
In that sense, I got to enjoy the social media and fandom side of things, even at the local level. ;D
In fairness, I won the CAASA Ontario Provincials in 2017 in the 170-lb class, and qualified for Nationals. I didn't attend because I felt that I wasn't at my best at that time of the year, and didn't want to under-perform at my first Nationals. But in general, I call myself a local competitor, since I don't want to diminish the guys who are at a higher level [especially those in the open weight class].
During my time competing, I got to be on the front page of the local newspaper twice [2015, 2017], and on the front page of the sports section once [2016]! I also made the sports section in a background shot in 2010, and got in this piece in another local news outlet:
https://www.tbnewswatch.com/local-sports/city-of-strength-398259
I enjoyed all of this quite a bit! I know better than to compare myself to guys at a much higher level, but it was nice in 2015 when my mom showed up to my house with my kids, and my little girl came running to me with the paper and said "Daddy, you're in the news!"
Stuff like that really made it worth it!
That being said - I didn't start out with any intention to get any local or social media coverage, but it was a nice bonus.
But the thing is, Dave - I can't help but wonder if part of the reason why Ronnie is sort of destroying himself is because of all the Instagram Likes and positive comments. He had 3.5 million followers on Instagram last I checked.
In a similar vein, I also can't help but to wonder if Ronnie would be doing what he is doing to his body if all that social media attention stopped one day.
To summarize this:
I didn't start for attention on social media, and I don't think most people start for that reason. But I do wonder if part of why some guys push themselves to the highest level possible has anything to do with it. Given how LITTLE some strongmen, powerlifters, bodybuilders, and even MMA/UFC fighters make [!], I would think something else is motivating them...but sometimes I stop and wonder.
And to be fair - I even worry about NFL players getting millions of dollars, now that we know about about long-term concussive trauma [CTE], and its potential long-term consequences, and impacts on longevity.
That - and I'm a major hypochondriac who overthinks everything, so take all this with a massive heaping of salt. ;D
:)
I would say his BP is approximately 120 over 70.
I know he has a reputation for honesty but the face mask explanation feels a bit of a reach - Google shows they've all got soft/rounded/cushioned edges - does he cut them off to make them sharp or something..?
I also seem to recall another young guy who was on heavy doses and started to get the 'heavy features' type of look... wonder if that was CPAP mask related too? Who knew bodybuilders had such delicate faces... ::)

On a side note, anyone got a link to those squat straps he is holding?

This is insane. I fear for his health.
I can not say these are the exact same straps, but here is a pair... A bit pricey.
In all honesty it looks like you could just use an extended length pair of regular wrist straps and wrap them around the bar and get the same effect
https://www.spud-inc-straps.com/the-safety-squat-bar-strap.html
looks healthy :-X
gotta wonder how much shit this guy is injecting
I'm guessing he will never admit dosages
he is one huge lump...
thing is nothing much happens when he poses, he doesnt change much, hes full to bursting just standing there
And this is a prepcoach?
No abs!
Thanks for posting that vid. He's clearly an all around Big Dude. Interesting when sometimes a guy that is clearly very low in bodyfat has kind of reduced ab separation... ???

He actually is hanging up the thong due to health concerns.
The death of the beloved thong warrior Andy Haman scared him straight.
Will look to downsize and do a trt dose of 250 MG and 4 IU of gh..

Correct. I don't have his post but it is on youtube. He said he will still use primo and mast when cutting for the beach/holidays.
I really think these guys are mentally ill... better up the gear for hitting the beaches in the UK.

He is still young. If he comes off he has a chance of getting his testes back to function.

No chance they’ll return to 100-percent status.
Well even if he's gone full O'Hearn, he could always borrow his girlfriends pair
Is that a woman ???
I love when these guys say they're on TRT. When most bbers say TRT they're doing 500 mg test plus extra goodies at lower dosages.
I find it hard to believe jp is that weigh and condition and at under 5ft 6 on "just" 250mg test a week and 2.5iu gh. He must have unbelievable genetics. Genuinely interested to see what he'll look like in say 6 months if he stays on this trt protocolWont happen, he will up the dose first sign of shrinkage, bigorexia is only cured by ill health..

Looking good for 32 :o ;D
A few of you guys don't do IG, so here's the blurb that went with that shot
@trainedbyjp
A few of you wanted to see how I look. This is undoubtedly the biggest and leanest I have ever been. Let me give you some context to the last 6 months for those that don’t follow my log on the JP SITE . Last year I was dieting down with plans to compete , I tore my quad in September so that was out, I was fairly lean and in striking distance to finish the look, I dropped to a cruise dose for 8 weeks for October / November while staying at my leanest post diet
I then blasted the shit out of test , nandrolone , long and short insulin and gh ( all the doses are in my log ) and went up to 285 during December / jan/ feb. I then started to diet with the plan of competing and changed my drugs to eg , tren e and masteron and went from 285 to 265 , at this point I then decided im done with this as I knew my look wouldn’t win onstage - despite being the biggest ever ; my midsection would make it impossible to win , so I spent the last 11 weeks on 250 test and 2.5iu gh and taking more off , getting really lean - I then spent a couple days filling out hard and this is today at 260 pounds at just under 5ft 6
Corinne and I have been talking all morning saying so I really want to step away while I look like this ? And the answer is still yes because I just don’t feel like I can fix my midsection as it’s torn in so many places that I just can’t even feel it, let alone control it, if I could fix it I would be carrying on with the life goal of bringing a look to the stage that’s the most muscle ever seen on someone my height - but alas it’s a double edged sword when you have pushed as hard as I have
What I have shown myself is - i was terribly terribly unfit , which was hampering my training , at the moment I’m SO fit which has let me hit all time high rep pbs and keep all my muscle ( plus eq and tren e linger a gd while so that helped I’m sure )
So my take home to you is , before you push hard , make sure your fit enough to maximise it , because if I was super super fit while pushing the drugs I would of been able to grow more. Anyways , I’m a walking study of how to grow , but also how to abuse your body , so im here to help you do it right! Be a healthy - ish monster
i wonder what his definition of pushing

If she stopped all the androgens etc I wonder if she could get back her more feminine looks?
Nope, she's going to look like a man forever.
She would eventually lose the muscle mass, but the man face, facial/body hair and other side effects are permanent.
Such a shame, she was cute before all the drugs.
Same goes for the Russian competitor I take it? Although she still has "some" feminine facial features. Even though clearly a wig and caked in make up
If she stopped all the androgens etc I wonder if she could get back her more feminine looks? It takes balls to work at achieving such a transformation. (Couldn't resist) cheap shot I know

This is fucking scary I know there's a thread on the board about her
Listen my friend, I'm thinking she'll be pretty low digit bodyfat still, right? So a (strongly) perfumed bath, some dimmed lighting, a touch of makeup (and a wig and a close shave and a hit on the pipe for her) and I bet the old Denise would still shine through... she's like a gold cup in the trash...
These guys are all the same.
He goes on about how mega useage isnt the key to size and growth and he know because of his experience using. Then at the end of the video he says training and eating are the most important keys to growth.......
What size does he think he could have gotten to without drugs? Why does every elite user act like drugs arent important?
Are there people accusing steroids and not training or eating?
First pic he's about 14 I think second pic he's 17 then after that he started gear
Yeah, but a ripped unicorn with a big penor and a super hi sex drive... :P
What can I say? I'm a degenerate... ;D
Ooo - intredasting - anyone got a name please?
Would hit (already confessed to this in her update 'goatee' thread)
There you go. Dude had a good build.Yep. Especially when you look at someone like flex wheeler who wasn't looking that good at similar age and trained like a lazy bastard in comparison to jp
But eating and training alone wasnt going to take him to 300 pounds.
And if you think about what a great bass he had you'd think with his usage he would have been Mr. Olympia.
Yep. Especially when you look at someone like flex wheeler who wasn't looking that good at similar age and trained like a lazy bastard in comparison to jp
You'd hit her in the after pic where he's sporting the goatee?!
That's an impressive shot tbf.
I find it hard to believe jp is that weigh and condition and at under 5ft 6 on "just" 250mg test a week and 2.5iu gh. He must have unbelievable genetics. Genuinely interested to see what he'll look like in say 6 months if he stays on this trt protocol
Apparently still at 250mg, but now with added Primo - looking good for half a gram, no..?

Post diet phase is such an essential and integral part of making sustainable steps forward in your physique . I’m 12 weeks post diet , and finally at last my food focus has dropped ! During this period the goal was to come back up as little as I could from the lowest diet point , just enough to drop off the fatigue and food focus I accumulated
The first 6 weeks were the hardest ever post diet I have done , as I previously have let my weight climb much faster under the guise of “ oh I will take it back off again when it’s time “ ( stupid ) , but this time because the goal is to be in a super lean , super fit body year round , I had to work so hard to stay lean lean .. the cravings here are real, and basically your actions will reflect your wants. If you want to stay super tight , you will lean into those feelings post diet and just tell them to fuck off , if you don’t actually truly want it, you will eat like an asshole . I’m such a firm believer of that saying , let your actions reflect your wants , it will answer all your own questions to how much you truly want any goal in life. From a more practical perspective- high volume , low calorie foods are life . Strawberries , greek yoghurt and bags upon bags of salad , sill get you through , without over eating
For me now, I can sit this lean happily until I’m totally ready to take all my fat off again ( much less to come off this time , so much shorter diet needed, then on the other side of that work my ass off to stay even leaner and lighter again - which will be doable because A : it’s a goal and B shorter diets mean less fuckery post diet to deal with :) . I’m a few weeks into my primo addition , which has certainly helped the cosmetic appearance , I noticed it yday at end of push, and thought , fuck I like primo 😂 , I haven’t ever taken it just as a stand alone on top of whatever your base dose of test is ( mine is 250) , previously it’s always be a cocktail of drugs . As I said will share my mid cycle blood work , so we can compare to the pre primo blood work and see what deleterious effects , if any, have occurred . Baby blue 5xl vest from @tb.jpc"

The sad part is that people believe him and fall for this bullshit.
He's going to die not too long from now.
Be listed as a genetic defect.
i'm surprised he still has a full head of hair. Cutler esq
I could post up a few stories - he used to train in same gym I used when at university,
His insulin amounts at times were let’s say a Little on the High Side.!!!
From what I’ve heard his parents are very very wealthy & funded him for a while , Then supposedly when things got a bit to much kicked him out. 🤷🏻♂️
He’s a huge lump of a man at what 5ft 6in or so.... Really doesn’t look very healthy for a young man,
Who knows he maybe have the Constitution of Marcus Ruhl & live to be 118. 😀
;D
Good to see, and read, you brother!
The next Dallas McCarver.Brutal if true
