Tree clamp pullups are a good idea although getbiggers may end up pulling down trees that fall on their mansions. :D

I've got a cambered bar ,eighty pounds of plates. 45 pound dumbbells, and a crusher in my garage. Does the job just fine when you have no access to the gym.

When I was around 13 I had two light dumbbells. I complained to my brother that they were too light. He said rightly, "If they are too light you're not doing enough reps."

I'm confident the July show in Las Vegas will happen and I am using this pandemic as a competitive advantage since many are not training, posing and dieting.

One of my friends from Surrey, Canada YMCA told me a friend of his who works the front desk of another gym is LETTING him and a few other guys
into this "other" gym that has put cardboard up covering the windows!!!
I told him there is a damn good chance ALL you guys will get sick, this is a BAD idea since everyone is touching the same machines/barbells.... >:(

Before this all kicked off my friend (who owns a gym) let me borrow a 36kg, 40kg, 48kg and 56kg kettlebell from his gym. I also ordered parallel bars which I can use to do dips. I built them today and they are a great job with a 440lb weight limit.
Not ideal, but a lot better than nothing!

I ordered five resistant bands from elite fitness.
The workout I get with these bands is pretty crazy. Insane pump.
I still want to go back to the gym but I am quite happy with the resistant bands.

Opening of the gyms has its date!
Tuesday's meeting of the government brought new information about the possible reopening of gyms in the Czech Republic. The current plan is to open fitness centers from Monday 11 May, subject to some restrictions. These include the inability to use showers and changing rooms, ie. athletes should come disguised from home and wait for the same shower after training. The question of the possible use of toilets and bathrooms (which are often only part of dressing rooms and not accessible separately) remains unclear, but it is expected that the possibilities of use will be specified in the following weeks, which remain until the announced opening.
It should be noted that this term is only preliminary and may change depending on the current situation. These restrictions are unpleasant, but certainly for many athletes solvable and so much better choice than opening the gym "with all the trouble" but later.

Imagine having to train with a mask on in the gym?
Where I'm from it will probably be the same, have to wear a mask by law when we walk outside and will have to when businesses finally open again.
This is becoming completely insane.

There have been cases of people training with those masks as used in the Creed movie who have had collapsed lungs, because they were wearing them while lifting weights.

One question, since all the competitions have been nixed, what is your motivation?
I've followed your incredibly restricted diet posts, which would make the average person crazy. You train like a maniac. You look exceptional for a fellow of any age much less someone who would compete in the masters. Is this all for you reaching personal goals? Because right now, you could be training for a competition that is not going to happen.
No criticism, because whatever works for you as long as it does not harm someone else, is all good in my book.

In and around Portland, OR, several independent gyms never closed even though they risked being fined by the state. The big gym franchises closed for awhile opened for a short time, closed again and are now open again. I hope it is permanent, not just because I miss going to the gym but because I worried they'd go bankrupt (they still could) and be gone forever.
Because I can go to any gym with my Silver and Fit membership provided by Regence MedAdvantage at no cost, pre-pandemic I went to different gyms all the time which really keeps working out interesting. Also, 24 Hour Fitness allowed me to go to the gym at any time I chose. Presently, they close from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 a.m. for deep cleaning. But that shouldn't be a problem since I am rarely awake during that time.
On April 7th, I am scheduled for my second COVID shot. I've decided to put off going to the gym until after I'm fully vaccinated. I've gone this long only working out at home; a couple more weeks shouldn't pose a problem. I am really looking forward to returning to more comprehensive and varied workout routines. The bands I bought are fine, but there are far fewer exercises one can do with them. And for some reason, I don't feel like I've progressed much, mainly just maintained reasonable fitness, which is also fine.

People can't just do barbell or dumbbell rows, they need a special bench so they don't "over-train" their lower backs. ::)
Coop gives honest reviews about stuff. He's good.
I wonder if he gets to keep all that equipment he reviews? Certainly, he gets to keep some of it.

The 4 resistance bands that come with the X3 are heavy duty and designed to provide more resistance than most of the bands on the market
They are constructed of a double layer of extra-thick latex. The 4 included bands come in the following varying range of resistance:
Super light-weight: 15 – 50 lbs
Light-weight: 25 – 80 lbs
Middle-weight: 50 – 120 lbs
Heavy-weight: 60 – 150 lbs
You can also “double over” a band to double the resistance (the light-weight band then becomes up to 160 lbs) and combine bands to fine tune the resistance felt depending on the exercise. I use the 25-80 lb. bands doubled over for chest presses, dead lifts, bent rows and tricep pressdowns; single layer for bicep curls. I use the 15 - 50 lb bands doubled for front squats and calf raises and single for overhead presses. I'm not sure why I find the leg work difficult with the heavier bands but I do.
There’s also an “elite” band that provides 200-300 lb of resistance and even up to 500 lb when doubled over. It is purchased separately. I am nowhere near ready for it and may never be at the rate I am going.
The program calls for a minimum of one set of 15 reps, working up to 40 reps before increasing the resistance and or moving on to the next set of exercises. I'm not near 40 reps on any exercise yet. The 4 day a week workout routine is push exercises one day and pull the next, 2 days off and repeat with 1 day off. I shoot for starting fresh on Monday and ending with Sunday off.
These exercises are done moving slowly and deliberately with good form. You are supposed to go failure....the last few reps are not full reps, not because you are holding back, but because full reps become impossible.
Before you knock this system, you need to give it a try. At least for me it has been more difficult than I expected it to be. The movements are nothing like speedy light resistance stuff you see folks doing in backstage warm ups.
