Title: Atilis Gym in Bellmawr, New Jersey - Reopens despite shutdown order
Post by: Ron on May 18, 2020, 08:52:45 AM
I am still dismayed at various liberal governors and local counties, like California and New Jersey, who are spending time and police resources over people who just want to work and pay taxes, and want to arrest them for opening a business, like the gym.  Is this where the USA has gone?  Meanwhle, states like Arizona, Texas, Florida and others have let them open. A few years from now, we will see this as a textbook case of government trying to take away the right of people.

BELLMAWR, New Jersey (WPVI) -- Members gathered in the parking lot of Atilis Gym in Bellmawr, New Jersey to show their support for reopening the facility Monday in defiance of Governor Phil Murphy's shutdown order.

Even the cops think this is crap - at least these cops understand what rights are... unlike the cops in Oceanside that arrested a gm owner just for opening...

"Formally, you are all in violation of the executive order. On that note, have a good day. Everybody be safe," the officer said before walking away as the crowd erupted in cheers.Around 10:30 a.m. local police officers approached the door through the crowd to speak with the gym's owners. The officers informed them that they were "formally" in violation of the shutdown order.

"We are and only were here for everybody's safety today. We planned for the worst and hoped for the best, and it seems like that's what we have out here today," the officer said to the owners and surrounding crowd.

When I saw Atilis Gym, I thought of the place in Wildwood.  Wonder if the same guy (Brian) still owns it....or both places.

Anyhow, good for them.  Hope they stay open

I would love nothing more than to report NO FREAKING GYMS CLOSED because of government, but until, we need to stand up for our right to open all business if they can social distance and follow simple guidelines.  But when you have cops and politicians dictating to you and arresting people for this while letting convicts from jail out, we have a problem in the USA.

Fuck yeah good for them! I keep emailing Jerry McCall the owner of the gym I workout at and at first he responded basically waving the white flag and now he just ignores my emails. (sigh)

You know Ron I have trained at my gym since I was 19 I believe. That's twenty (20) YEARS of my life I have worked out a the same place and it's causing me more stress depression and anxiety not being able to workout than I ever thought was possible.

This whole thing feels like a bad dream, it has to be a bad dream. (sigh)

In Hawaii, we have had a total of 415 cases out of a population of about one million. That's about .04% of the population. An average of about 10-20% of the population will get the flu every year. Of the 415 cases, 53 have required hospitalization, about 12%. Of the 415 cases 92% has fully recovered. There has been a total of 11 deaths, all but two had a preexisting condition or were over 65.

Democratic Governor, David Ige has extended the lockdown for another month going until July 1st. When you have a job, a steady income, and are not subject to the rules you impose on others, making these edicts is quite easy.

N.J. gym owners issued more tickets, customer arrested in 2nd day of coronavirus lockdown defiance

A New Jersey gym reopened again Tuesday in defiance of the state’s orders against workout facilities reopening during the coronavirus outbreak and again police arrived to issue tickets to the owners. At least one patron was also arrested leaving the gym after refusing to give his name.

Police also warned supporters gathered outside to leave or they could also face summonses.

“This gathering is a violation of the governor’s order,” Bellmawr Lt. Mike Draham said. “You are directed to immediately and peaceably disperse. If you do not disperse you can be charged. You can protest from your vehicle…That’s all we have right now.”

The crowd jeered police officers as Draham read a statement to Atilis Gym gym owners Ian Smith and Frank Trumbetti in front of gym door shortly after 10 a.m. They were handed tickets that could lead to fines of up to $1,000.

The gym reopened at 8 a.m. on Tuesday for a second day with a smaller crowd of supporters than the first day when hundreds filled the sidewalk and parking lot of the gym on West Browning Road in Bellmawr, Camden County.

Smith went on national television last week with his plan to reopen despite Gov. Phil Murphy’s executive order for gyms to remain closed during the coronavirus pandemic that has killed more than 10,000 New Jersey residents and infected more than 148,000, both the second highest in the country after New York.

Murphy was asked Monday during his coronavirus briefing about the gym’s reopening and he suggested the efforts to enforce the closure order may ramp up Tuesday.

“We will take action,” Murphy said Monday. “If you show up at that gym tomorrow, there’s going to be a different reality than showing today.”

It appeared to be more of the same, but with fewer people gathered outside. After receiving the tickets Monday, the gym remained open the rest of the day. That happened as well on Tuesday.

Trumbetti said he and Smith have owned the gym for less than a year and the lockdown has “strangled” their business. They said they would continue to operate despite the tickets and a GoFundMe campaign started to pay their fines has already raised more than $21,000.

“I’m not worried about jail,” Trumbetti said Monday afternoon. “ Ian and I made a conscious decision to actually fight for the cause for everybody.”

Recent polls have shown record approval for Murphy as he manages the coronavirus crisis. A Rutgers-Eagleton poll of 1,502 adults conducted from April 22–May 2 gave Murphy a 77% job approval rating.

And a Quinnipiac University poll released earlier this month showed 65% said Murphy’s actions during the coronavirus outbreak were just right with 20% saying they did not go far enough and only 14% saying they went too far.

Shortly after 10 a.m. borough police Lt. Mike Draham read a statement to gym owners Ian Smith and Frank Trumbetti as they stood in front of gym doors. The crowd pushed jeers peppered the shouts from the crowd.

Draham told N.J. Advance Media that Bellmawr police were performing a local enforcement in accordance with Murphy’s orders.

When asked if he directed the gym to close he said, “The governor directed them to close.”

By 11:35 am., a dozen protesters continued to mill around the parking lot and gym patrons continued to come and go into the facility, which is located in a shopping commons with nearly a dozen other businesses.

The gym owners have said they rearranged the gym equipment to provide more social distancing and the staff would be stepping up cleaning efforts. On Monday, staffers took temperatures of members entering to workout and Smith said they will limit capacity to 20% or about 44 people at a time. Members and staff are also required to wear face coverings.

I don't think this has gone to court yet in NJ.

Ohio judge rules state cannot penalize gyms that reopen

There is a victory for gym and fitness centers across Ohio that had sued the state to reopen.

A judge in Lake County has ruled Ohio Health Director Dr. Amy Acton cannot impose penalties or fines against fitness centers simply because they do not comply with her orders closing them down because of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Nearly three dozen gym operators — including one in Boardman — filed suit this month claiming the state’s guidelines were not constitutional.

The new order states that the facilities will still have to follow safety regulations that would cover these types of businesses.

Defiant N.J. gym shut down by state, owners vow to sue Murphy

A gym in Bellmawr that reopened Monday, violating an executive order from Gov. Phil Murphy, was shut down Thursday morning by state and county health departments. “Alright guys, so we arrived at the gym this morning to Governor Murphy’s dirty tricks, playing with his power in the health department," one of the owners said in a video posted to the gym’s Instagram page Thursday. "For right now, the gym will be closed. We have a full cleaning crew inside, once again, going above and beyond.”

The Instagram story also included a typed message saying, “Filing a suit against (Murphy) first thing this morning.” Murphy declined to comment on the gym directly during a radio interview on WPG in Atlantic City on Thursday morning. “Because it’s unfolding, I won’t comment on the specifics of that particular facility," the governor said. ”We’ve taken a whole lot of steps already to begin to open the state up, I think, responsibly," Murphy added. "The inside stuff is harder. The folks have to understand the virus is still out there. ... We’ll get there. We’re just not there yet.”

Murphy did say during a separate interview on CNBC that he may allow more indoor businesses such as salons and gyms to reopen with restrictions “in a matter of weeks.” Orange stickers from the Camden County Health Department declaring an embargo and a four-page notice from the state Department of Health were taped to the door of Atilis Gym.

The signs were placed on the storefront “with no inspection of the building or anything,” Co-owner Frank Trumbetti told FOX 29.  “They did it overnight like cowards,” Trumbetti told NJ Advance Media. He also vowed to reopen despite the state’s action. "We’re opening up tomorrow morning no matter what,” Trumbetti said. Trumbetti said he doesn’t know what the embargo means and the state health department notice referred to a statute involving infectious disease.

The sewer system serving the gym backed up Wednesday, “right after [Gov. Murphy’s daily] briefing where they said the Board of Health would be involved,” Trumbetti told FOX 29, forcing members to evacuate. A sewage remediation team was onsite Thursday, according to FOX 29. A call to an attorney for the gym was not immediately returned. The Camden County department of health spokesperson also could not be reached immediately.

A spokesperson for the state Department of Health declined to comment beyond the order, which was sent NJ Advance Media. Although Atilis Gym "is purporting to take its own measures to address COVID-19 transmission” the state cannot “simply allow business owners to set their own divergent health measures, done without the approval of the state and it’s health officials,” the order says. It also bans Atilis Gym from opening until further notice. Failure to comply with the order could result in criminal sanctions and/or civil penalties for violating the department of health’s order and the for violating Executive Order 107.

As of Wednesday, there were at least 150,399 cases of coronavirus in New Jersey and 10,747 deaths attributed to the virus. “Indoor gyms and fitness centers present particularly high-risk settings for the spread of COVID-19, in part because customers of these facilities engage in physical activities that increase the customers’ respiratory activity, which in turn can increase the amount of respiratory droplets or aerosols in a confined setting,” the order says.

The prolonged and close person-to-person contact presented by personal trainers, spotters and the use of communal equipment also increase the risk of spread, the order says. The National Institutes of Health have found that the virus may live on plastic and steel surfaces -- such as barbells, dumbbells and treadmills, for up to 72 hours.

Atilis Gym in Bellmawr allowed a limited number of members to use the facility beginning Monday. Their temperatures were checked as they entered and they were required to wear face coverings and follow other rules. Co-owner Ian Smith said they were limiting capacity to 20% or about 44 people at a time. Murphy was asked Monday during his coronavirus briefing about the gym’s reopening and he suggested the efforts to enforce the closure order may ramp up.

The owners of the gym said they opened it less than a year ago and the lockdown has “strangled” their business. They said they would continue to operate despite the tickets and a GoFundMe page started to pay their fines has raised more than $50,000 as of Thursday.

The gym had been issued at least three citations since opening, each of which includes a fine of up to $1,000 and possible jail time. Trumbetti said the gym will remain closed but he encouraged members to come work out in the parking lot.

Atilis Gym Won’t Reopen This Weekend After Court Upholds Shutdown Order, Owners Call Gov. Murphy ‘Slimeball’

The owners of a South Jersey gym say they won’t be reopening this weekend after a judge granted a request from Gov. Murphy to shut down the gym. Atilis Gym in Bellmawr reopened on Monday and was open for several days in defiance of the governor’s stay-at-home order. After receiving the court order to shut down on Friday, Atilis Gym co-owner Ian Smith posted an Instagram video calling the governor a “slimeball” and called the health department’s closure on Wednesday, “flimsy and bogus.” “Slimeball Gov. Murphy pulled a fast one on us at the end of the day, and put a court order in to a state judge, who is of course going to uphold state wishes, for us to be shutdown via the health department,” Smith said.

The gym was shut down by the health department Wednesday night due to plumbing issues. The owners say their bathrooms flooded after their toilets were clogged by paper towels, something they called suspicious.

That's something, man. Changing the locks so you can't get into your own business. That is so fucked up that you want to take up arms and say "just leave me the fuck alone."

Why anybody still supports the Left/Liberals when they are systematically destroying our country on all levels.

Well...

Interesting on Atilis Gym, whose owner thought he would be ruled again... but... look what he wrote today..

From yesterday...

BELLMAWR - A gym that's operating here in defiance of a state order removed one of its doors last night, seeking to foil an expected effort to padlock the entrance. "I came in the middle of the night and took the door off its hinges," Frank Trumbetti, a partner in The Atilis Gym, told the Courier-Post Monday morning. Trumbetti, who expects a judge to rule against the gym later Monday, said he and partner Ian Smith are prepared to remain in the business indefinitely."The gym will be open no matter what," Smith vowed in a Facebook post over the weekend. "If they want to change our locks, they are going to have to take us out of here by force." Monday's state court hearing comes during an ongoing battle between the gym and Gov. Phil Murphy, who has barred indoor operations at gyms as part of the state's response to the COVID-19 pandemic.

And today...

Ian Andrew and Atilis gym just won their case Gov murphy brought against them for contempt of court. The governor threatened to change the locks on their rightfully rented building and business like a tyrant and throw them in jail. The good guys won one for today.

Gym owners arrested for defying Gov. Murphy’s shutdown order

The owners of Atilis Gym were arrested Monday morning in the latest chapter of the New Jersey gym’s repeated defiance of the state’s coronavirus protocols, the Camden County Prosecutor’s Office announced.  The arrests came just days after a judge ruled the the owners were in contempt of court and could begin facing fines for keeping their gym open, despite Gov. Phil Murphy’s order that gyms cannot be open as the state continues to battle the coronavirus pandemic.

Ian Smith, 33, of Delanco Township, and Frank Trumbetti, 51, of Williamstown, were charged with one count of fourth-degree contempt, one count of obstruction, and one count of Violation of a Disaster Control Act. The men were transported to the Bellmawr Police Department, where they were charged and then released.

Authorities said they observed a number of people entering and using the gym throughout the weekend after Judge Robert T. Lougy issued a court order Friday for Trumbetti and Smith to vacate the gym and cease operations. Police said both owners refused to leave the gym when asked Monday and were subsequently arrested.

Smith’s attorney, James Mermigis, said the gym was boarded up by authorities Monday and the owners do not have access to get inside. He said he is unsure what Smith and Trumbetti’s next step would be, but he remained adamant that Murphy’s order to have gyms still shutdown is “unconstitutional” when activities like gymnastics and martial arts have re-opened at certain capacity limits. “I do believe the governor is overreaching and I do believe this has gone too far,” Mermigis said.

After Judge Lougy’s ruling Friday, Smith told NJ Advance Media they will do “whatever we possibly can” to fight the decision, and he planned to remain in the gym until authorities removed him. “We will not leave this building under any circumstances unless they take us out in handcuffs,” Smith said.

Gov Manjina Murphy backs the BLM and Antifa commies and the fake systematic racism narrative, but he arrests 2 gym owners in the fear of spreading a fake virus.

Also, they were arrested by police who DID NOTHING as businesses were getting vandalized, burned down and looted.

Still amazed that a governor would actually spend time, money, police, courts and so much more arresting and attacking business owners, when thousands of protesters, gatherers and prisoners that are being let go from jails is far less important to these people.

Wow - just wow.

Go to a Costco or a WalMart, and you are packed in there. Go to a protest gathering, which is more than 20 people, and there are no social distancing whatsoever, which is the main issue.  But at the gym, 6 feet apart, cleaning supplies, hand sanitizers, and more.  Such a threat.

Pathetic.

As I have said before, ANY business that can practice social distancing, face maks and keep things clean should be allowed to open. But for this governor, no way.  The economy of the USA will be hurt for years to come because of these inept ideas of the governors. Too bad he doesnt have Elon Musk's factory in his state...

And it continues...

The owners of Atilis gym in New Jersey reopened on Saturday by kicking down the wooden barricades authorities used to block their entrance amid coronavirus restrictions. Co-owner Ian Smith posted a video of himself and his business partner, Frank Trumbetti, kicking the barriers and entering as a crowd cheers their decision. The dramatic display indicated that the months-long standoff between Gov. Phil Murphy and the gym owners wasn't finished.

From iansmithfitness

I hate the fact that it has to come to this. Governor Murphy can portray us in whatever villainous way he wants, but our hands are forced here and that’s his fault. We are over 4 months into an economic shutdown that was supposed to be 14 days. It is time to end this and resume life in a safe and responsible manner. Small business is not solely responsible for the spread of the virus yet we are targeted as such and unfairly treated. You will not trample on our rights and you will not destroy our lives. We will not back down. Ever. Please share this to show what lengths we have to go to just to make a living for our families.

New Jersey's Atilis Gym, which reopened against COVID-19 emergency orders, loses business license

BELLMAWR, N.J. — A New Jersey gym that reopened against statewide pandemic orders has lost its business license.

The 5-1 vote by the Bellmawr Borough Council on Tuesday night came nine days after the owners of Atilis Gym kicked in a plywood barrier installed by authorities after a state judge found the gym in contempt for violating court-ordered limits on indoor operations.

The gym’s owners, Frank Trumbetti and Ian Smith, have also defied COVID-19 emergency orders imposed by Gov. Phil Murphy and New Jersey Health Commissioner Judith Persichilli.

The license revocation took effect immediately, but patrons continued to use the gym Wednesday.

At Tuesday's meeting, a lawyer for the gym owners argued the business did not threaten public safety.

“You’re saying they violated safety standards?” asked attorney John McCann. “What’s the standard?”

“Where’s the evidence that they’re a danger?” continued the attorney, who claimed the gym is “the safest place in New Jersey right now.”

Prior to the vote, Bellmawr Police Captain Michael Draham described repeated violations of shutdown orders at the gym.

The borough’s zoning officer, Jim Burleigh, also said the gym had failed to request township approval before moving some exercise equipment into the parking lot for patrons’ use.

Burleigh asserted large pieces of equipment outside the business could be a hazard for children.

McCann, however, argued borough officials had not shown the gym was a threat to public health. He contended no gym patrons have been infected by the coronavirus, attributing that information to Trumbetti and Smith.

“I take my clients at their word,” said the attorney, who noted Trumbetti's mother had died from COVID-19.

McCann also said council members should require proof that the gym is a health risk.

“Demand the science from the state,” McCann said.

“The Atilis Gym would close tomorrow if we could see the science,” he added.

The state Attorney General’s Office has cited scientific reports to support the view that “extensive and prolonged interactions (at gyms) continue to present significant risks."

In a May 22 court filing, the state noted a study from South Korea found the risk of infection in gyms “is high, perhaps higher than other confined indoor spaces in which people remain for extended period (sic) of time."

The gym controversy has drawn sign-carrying, flag-waving supporters to the Bellmawr business and led to appearances by Trumbetti and Smith on national television.

In a Facebook post Sunday, Smith predicted the council session would be "very clearly an extension of Murphy's will." Smith also said he and Trumbetti were prepared to live at the gym in an effort to prevent its closing.

Several protest participants were among audience members who sharply criticized the council’s vote. Among other points, they claimed the COVID-19 death toll has been inflated and that the governor’s emergency orders are unconstitutional.

The license revocation “was damaging and it doesn’t promote unity,” said Dawn Fantasia, a Sussex County freeholder who attended the meeting remotely.

The only Bellmawr residents to speak supported the council’s vote.

“I just wanted to say, ‘Thank you,’” said Jesse Jamison.

Kathleen Mortka said her initial support for the gym ended when promised safety guidelines were not implemented.

"There are photos on social media … showing unmasked people who were not social distancing," Mortka told the council. She said that showed "they did not care about me or any other patrons."

Murphy closed gyms statewide under a March 16 order intended to curb the spread of COVID-19, which is blamed for more than 14,000 confirmed deaths and more than 1,800 probable deaths in New Jersey.

Persichilli issued another shutdown order May 20 after the gym reopened without authorization. The gym was allowed to reopen on June 15 to accommodate retail businesses inside the building.

The state took the gym back to court last month, alleging "wanton violation" of a court order that allowed only individualized instruction inside the building.

Superior Court Judge Robert Lougy in Trenton issued the contempt finding on July 24, setting the stage for Trumbetti and Smith to force their way into the closed gym on Aug. 1.

This calls into question the notion of licensure. What grounds does a government have to say you can't do something unless you have recieved permission. That's very different than telling you that you can't do things which are a crime.

If you own a building, stock it with weights, and people want to pay you to work out there, who the hell is some guy from the government to tell you or them what deal you're allowed to make?

Everyone's happy and doing what they want without any help from the government. "You got a license to do that?" Huh?

The death rate keeps going down in NJ as well as nationally as a whole.  Even with the lower stats you wonder if they are artificially high because of the Federal funds received for covid care. The overwhelming amount of deaths are those over 70 and those with other health issues. Healthy gym goers are not in high risk categories. In NJ protests are okay but attending  a funeral without restrictions is dangerous.

Wearing masks, shut downs and social distancing is not a cure. The only cure is herd immunity where enough people have anti bodies to stop the spread. The other is a vaccine that artificially makes our body create anti bodies. In most of Europe people are back to work and school. We should do the same. Let the elderly and those with health issues stay home.

School (all grades) is going to be another crapshoot in America. I live in Florida, and they have already delayed the start of school by weeks. Then they are giving the option to continue online learning for this school year, go to traditional school, or do a combination of both.

A logistics nightmare.

You just have to use common sense. This virus has always been about the potential affects on children, the elderly, and those with underlying conditions.

I know, blah blah blah, but I too was defiant in wearing a mask for awhile. It's not about you, it's about your loved ones, it's about being a good person.

I got COVID in February.

I beat it in six days.

I now have COVID antibodies in my body that are waving white flags of surrender.

When I expose myself to other people, they are being exposed to a weakened version of the virus.  Sort of like a vaccine.

When exposed to those weakened antibodies, the immune systems of those beat beat those antibodies down.

Then, when exposed to someone who currently has COVID, their immune system, being prepared for it after being exposed to virus beaters like me, beat the real COVID virus down.

In short, please learn how our immune systems work [maybe in your case, it's better that you start by learning that we HAVE this thing called an immune system], and learn about how something called "herd immunity" develops.

Remember Ian Smith who was fined 1.2 million and arrested for keeping his gym open during covid. He lost all appeals and it seemed he was fucked. He also lost his permit to operate a gym in NJ.  The government padlocked his business too. The government seized the money donated to his defense too.  We live in dangerous times especially when Democrats come after you. Today he posted this.

"4 years ago today, we reopened Atilis Gym in direct violation of an unconstitutional order by Governor Philip Murphy to close small businesses in New Jersey.
The support we received locally, nationally, and internationally for our stand is something I will be forever grateful for.
With that being said, I am thrilled to announce that we have achieved a major victory in the long, hard fight against the State.
ALL OF THE 80+ municipal citations of violations of a governor's order, public nuisance, disturbing the peace, and operating without a license against us have been dropped by the courts WITH prejudice. This means the State has NO ability to revist or refile these charges.
This victory opens the battlefield again and gives us options to continue to push back and bring justice to the treasonous actions of Phil Murphy and his lackies.
Again, thank you to all who supported us. We could not have done it without you.
Special thanks to our fearless attorneys - John McCann and Giancarlo Ghione. Some of the most high profile attorneys around the country ran from our case - knowing it would be a long, hard road and would make them a target of the stare. These two gentlemen stood with us through the darkest days of the storm, have not flinched, and never once cared about being in front of cameras to gain notoriety from their work.
More updates later.
Nobody is coming to save you, save yourself. Spit on your hands and hoist the black flag. No quarter. 🏴
Suck my dick Phil Murphy."

A Legend was born in 1974...
Atilis Gym opened its doors and became home to top bodybuilders and athletes that vacationing in the Wildwoods.  During the 70’s and 80’s Atilis Gym earned it reputation for being a full service truly “Hardcore” gym.

1996 marked a new era for Atilis Gym, purchased by Chris Lambert from the gym’s original owners. The gym went through extensive changes and improvements to modernize the gym while staying true to its “Hardcore” traditions.

2013 saw the opening of a second location in the heart of the Business district in EHT. Atilis Gym EHT is upscale with all the amenities of a modern gym, yet stays true to the Atilis Gym traditions.

In 2014, Atilis Gym Sea Isle City was born. Located on Landis Ave. in Sea Isle City, a former gym, the property went thru an extensive remodel and refurbishment and a new member of the Atilis family was born.

2016 will mark the newest addition to the family, Atilis Gym Ocean City. Located on West Ave, in the center of Ocean City, Atilis Gym Ocean City will mirror the original Wildwood location in size, equipment and the second to none attitude Atilis Gym is famous for.

Known by loyal members and guests and the “MECCA” of the Jersey Shore, Atilis Gyms are honored to uphold such a title and will strive to offer our members the best in fitness weather you call the Jersey Shore home or your home away from home.    I think it might have been an olympus gym first, not sure though.

That's made me remember Eddie Ellwood taking a stand - off to Google how he got on with his fight

He was one of the first Pro seminars I attended - big dude... all around big dude

Its his right though, and no one can do a thing about it... Looney lefties can try and cry, but again, no one cares what they think (except more loons)..

When it comes to the Holocaust everyone cares. Left, right, everyone.

And they can do a lot about it. How about being completely shut out of the banking system or being put on the "no fly" list? Erased from all social media.

You can’t possibly think THAT amount of  discrimination is acceptable simply because someone has an “opinion”?? Thats fckn just as sick as denying the holocaust. I believe that it was a horrible time in human history and have no reason to doubt it occurred, but it’s disgustingly un patriotic to punish someone for their beliefs.
The ONLY decent and acceptable way to counter opinions or beliefs is to offer the opposite argument. Until and unless ACTION is taken and another is harmed or harm is attempted NO ONE bas the right to harm somone they disagree with. A person should be held criminally or civilly (depending on the situation) for impeding the life and liberty of another human SOLELY because of their opinion.

Bro if you've seen my posts you can tell I'm very "antisemitic" and I've pushed the line of what might be acceptable even for this site. Other prominent posters have called for the bans of other prominent posters for the crime of antisemitism.

This site is like a bastion of free speech compared to almost all other sites. Yes I think banning speech is very distasteful but even free speech advocated draw the line at Jew hatred. And anti-Israel speech is also now pretty much included in the term antisemitic.

Don't infer from my post that I believe a certain thing about the Holocaust, I haven't commented on it at all really  8)

In the 80's and early 90's I trained at the Wildwood location as much as possible.  I would spend up to 4-hours there at a time leaving exhausting but totally pumped.  Great gym.

No one should believe the Holocaust happened "as told by the J00's"...
Though it did happen, its not what was taught in schools. Another J00tard fabrication.

60 million died from World War II. Either directly from the war or starvation. It's not too hard to believe 6 million Jews died in concentration camps and in the streets.

Yeah. I think the Holocaust happened, there's videos and pictures of all the camps and bodies. I don't think people should be banned from denying it though - free speech is important even if we disagree with it.

I just mean the way they tell all the stories, like they are some innocent byproduct.
They dont mention how they started the wars in the 1st place..

You misunderstood my post - or I poorly worded it. Either way - what I have a problem with is the idea that banks would “censor” free speech or that you’d be put on a “no fly” list simply for speech that others find offensive.
I vehemently oppose the censoring of speech even if it’s something that I completely disagree with. I should have used the word censorship as opposed to discrimination, as I re-read I can see how it came across differently than I intended.

It was me who kinda misunderstood, let's see if I now get it lol. Those institutions you kinda need shouldn't discriminate like that IMO. And there is the argument that companies like X, while private, are like the town square, and shouldn't discriminate either. Musk of course profiles himself like the absolutist free speech advocate but right wingers complain that they get banned even before they break the rules. Musk had to apologise himself lol, and then had to go to the wailing wall in Israel. Leftists started protesting even before Musk bought the company, lots of other companies stopped advertising.

I probably still didn't get your exact point lol, but these are some additional thoughts... >:(
