It is amazing what passes as racism these days.
Mexican is not a race and presuming someone is a criminal because of their nationality is not racist, just small minded.
Companies firing people publicly while shaming them not for their work skills or work ethic but their thinking, expression as stupid as they can be, is a form of "public execution" which brings only the worst out of people.
It leads to a herd mentality where you have to fit in and the standpoint of individual is lost while also being actively persecuted in the name of higher cause, social justice cause...

Question: is this actually a situation where racism is actually the most newsworthy factor? Looks like a case of shoddy journalism and more to the point why is this even newsworthy. I get that potentially a minority individual, particularly in the current climate might draw that conclusion but from the report, isn’t this really just a case of gross over reaction by a bit of a nutter? Surely this could have occurred equally if it was a white person in the following car? Or did the offender actually say that he was acting the way he did because he was compelled purely on the notion of racial prejudice?
What am I missing here? Not trying to be argumentative, I just don’t understand how this rather nasty little event has been characterised in the way it has been reported.

Exactly. Something similar actually happened to me at work once and they tried to give me shit for not challenging the person. Luckily I had informed security after it happened and I was a visitor to the site so it semi covered my ass.
If they kicked this white dude out of the building complex for this I hope he sues them and gets paid. He should also try sue this Mexican.

If you aren't convicted (or at least arrested) for a crime, how are employers firing people left and right for anything?
That's why I'm glad I have a pretty much iron clad state job. Unless I get convicted of crime, they almost can't fire me, regardless of what I say or do.
For example, a guy I work with was going f*cking crazy on FB. Posting all sorts of wild shit! His cover photo was a giant White Lives Matter banner, he had ran big georges name threw the mud numerous times (posted his criminal record as a reply in every Floyd post he could find) and pretty much said whatever the hell he wanted.
He ended up getting investigated by OSI and they locked him out of work, for all of 4 hours! LOL! They pretty much realized that every single thing he said was freedom of speech and if they even attempted to take his job, he would hire a lawyer and get more money than he would make in his entire career!

A Loudoun County teacher and coach led a double life as a star in gay pornographic videos, and school officials say they will seek his resignation and revocation of his state teaching license if their investigation confirms allegations against him.
Jeffrey Dion Bruton had a job teaching health and physical education at Farmwell Station Middle School in Ashburn and as an assistant coach for boys football, baseball and wrestling teams at Park View High School in Sterling. Bruton, who is about 30, has a wife and a 6-week-old daughter.
But as school officials and his wife of two years recently began to suspect, Bruton -- who also had taught at Sterling and Seneca Ridge middle schools in Loudoun -- also was somebody else.
In the world of gay pornography, Bruton is known as Ty Fox, the muscular blond star of at least six hard-core videos such as “Fox's Lair” and “Whitefire.” His photo was featured on the cover of a pornographic magazine, and promotions for his videos are widely listed on the Internet, including postings from Europe.
Word about Bruton’s other life began to spread when his wife, Melanie L. Bruton, filed for divorce June 19. In a document in Loudoun County Circuit Court, she said a friend told her that her husband was pictured in a pornographic magazine. She discovered that the photo was in an advertisement for the video “Hot Day in L.A.” She purchased the video and saw that it showed her husband in sex acts with other men, which she cites as grounds for the divorce.
Loudoun School Superintendent Edgar B. Hatrick III said that school officials are investigating the allegations and that if they are confirmed, they would be grounds for Bruton’s dismissal. He also said school officials would then ask the state to revoke Bruton’s teaching license.
He said school administrators have been trying to reach Bruton for about 10 days but have been unable to locate him. A telephone number that had been listed for him has been disconnected. An agent for Bruton, who confirmed that he made the videos, said Bruton planned to resign...
