He was going to slim down for the MMA fights, did he scrap all the fighting then?

So he's in a fast movie? They must have said to be big for it! Surprising they didn't already think he was big enough....
Will be funny to see the rock dwarfed by someone with bber level mass.

Will probably be the Main Villains right hand man and have a fightscene with The Rock at the end.

Yes, he realised people, unlike barbells, hit back.
Therefore far better to have kids on his Instagram calling him the true UFC champion rather than actually fighting.

I can't believe how variations of this same theme comes up so often on this board. Of course he's taking years off his life. Being big is not healthy. Taking drugs, hormones, and force feeding yourself is not healthy. You don't think he knows that? Is life just about being healthy and existing as long as you can?
People smoke, drink to excess, eat like a pig -- do all kinds of things they know is not good for you. At least Ford is getting something out of it other than self-indulgent pleasure.
I'm not saying I approved or it's a good thing. Im saying it's none of my business. You pays your money and you takes your choice.

Like i said before he is no athlete, hence he realised he wasn't going anywhere as a fighter. If the outcome can't be determined by pinning needles, he hasn't the genes to do better. Not hating, just stating the obvious.
Glad to see he is not castrated and can enjoy the small pleasures of fatherhood.
-
Hopefully works out better for him than Richardos bigger by the day series....

I'll add this clown to my dead pool list.

Isn’t that the whole point? You can do a lot of things, risks, and still be healthy and existing as long as you can, there’s a point of diminishing returns to everything
You can be 90 and a billionaire like Buffett, I certainly hope to exist as long as he has
Or be Dallas mccarver, or rich piana , Matarazzo. I’m sure Dallas’s family wishes he was here, still alive, I’m sure mike Matarazzo’s son wishes his dad is still alive to take him to school, enjoy the things a son and father are supposed to enjoy, I’m sure Rich’s employees wish he was still alive so they can sponge off of him, the list goes on

Agreed, Darren. But do you recall this story?:
I'm not sure what happened there - you would think an off-season 225+ pound UFC fighter would be able to take a 175-lber college wrestler, but I guess drugs or adrenaline or something else factored in.
It just makes me wonder how certain fights would go down, outside of our hypothetical scenarios, and predictions.

Exactly what many don’t take into the equation. Sanctioned fighters are used to sanctioned fights for the most parts with some street fighting exceptions obviously. But anything can happen outside the ring, octagon what have you. Anger, drugs etc... can make the difference in a street circumstance as well as who strikes first.

Benefit to being a manlet, weigh less 😂

Yep. That my thoughts exactly, Rob. And with USADA testing, I would be pretty certain that there is some 285-lb university wrestler somewhere in the USA who is juiced to the gills and could probably smash any UFC fighter in a wrestling match [even the genetic freaks with lots of experience like Stipe]. Get that same juiced super-heavyweight wrestler to bring up his striking, and I wouldn't bet against him if he had to fight a more experienced, drug-free UFC heavyweight in a street fight. It's questionable how many guys are on steroids versus off these days, but there has been a definite drop in the caliber of fighters since USADA came in like a wrecking ball around 2014-2015.
Add all sorts of street drugs that can make people feel no pain, and you would be fighting a whole other animal.
And if we take boxers - for as refined, fast, and technical as their striking may be, without take-down defense, their striking would limit them against a well-rounded fighter outside of the ring.
PS - Jon Jones made fun of Anthony Smith on Twitter for not beating down that home invader harder than he did, which I felt was a low class thing to do.

Ofc course there is a balance. It's up to the individual to determine the trade offs. A person I work with told me that of course he knows that smoking is bad for him and know with every puff he is taking time off his life but he says that he really, really loves smoking and can't imagine life without it. Me, I'd really like to ride a motorcycle but I'm just too scared. Every person I know that rides consistently has taken a bad spill that has changed their life in some way. If you ride enough it's only a matter of time before you take a spill. So I take a pass.
I know that I do things and have done things that are not good for me. But those things have also allowed me to enjoy life in ways I wouldn't be able to experience. If I was concerned solely about health and longetivity, only eating healthy food, always getting a good nights sleep, avoid all activity that has a risk (including driving a car, the biggest risks most people take), always follow a strict exercise protocol... would stifle my life to the point where it would be unbearable. It's all about trade offs.

The tie gave it away. Good eye.
