Republicans tend to not support unionism.

Not me. I would be more inclined to want to break his arm.

Republicans tend to not support unionism.
Especially because all that government money ends up right in the pockets of democratic politicians to run there next campaign.

While I enjoy getting money for doing nothing (just got my $600 from the feds today) this printing money could cause hyperinflation, could it not? Hasn't the dollar lost 11% in purchasing power over the past year?

Violence is never a solution to problems Prime.

Its lost purchasing power because of all of the corporate deductions and tax breaks.

??? Bullshit. Vince, you are smarter than that.

The dollar losses value every year.
Where have we seen the value lost? At the gas pump, consumer goods, vehicle purchase and repairs, food, housing?
I’m being serious, half of the US was shut down, the businesses that were open didn’t raise costs; if anything they charged retail price and did away with promotions (like toilet paper and paper towels).

$1750 was deposited into my account from the IRS sometime with the past 24hrs. Don't need it but i'll take it.

Getbiggers make too much money for this stimulus. Surely an error.
-
DEADZ, Can you break-down your $1,750.
I know that $1,200 is for husband and wife @ $600 each but how does that extra $550 compute?
Two kids at $225 per???
-
Sad that people would sit in their houses and sell out the country for a couple thousand bucks.

Im married with one son, 4. I had no clue I’d be receiving anything. Logged into online banking this AM and there it was $1750 and change.

The people have been rendered helpless.
They can’t even get movements for social justice to maintain their effectiveness yet somehow the thought is we can hold political figures accountable?
Cities were destroyed in the name of police reform. What changes have taken place?
People are sheep, they’re doing what they’re told.

Don't bring Chaos into this.

That’s weird should be 600 per person.

Hyperinflation is 50% per month.
The reality is the average person isn’t doing well. Small business is being slaughtered and people are losing incomes, getting reduced hours or a pay cut. CPI is still under 2%.
90% of the QE is flowing into the financials which do not relate to consumer goods which is why we are not drowning in inflation from an average person view. The Dow at 30k today isn’t increasing the price of a hamburger but it is certainly Widening the wealth gap.
Keep watching gold as an overall money supply inflationary indicator. It has just started to move up and 2021 will see a much larger QE than this year.

I assumed there is some partial Tax. IDK.

Whether or not it is $600 for each person depends on your 2019 gross income as listed when you filed. For example and individual with an adjusted gross income higher than $75,000 will receive a reduced amount. The higher your income the smaller the stimulus check will be. This money isn't taxed.
Essentially a single person will have a $50 reduction for each $1,000. their adjusted gross income is over $75,000.
This link is to a tool you can used to calculate the amount your stimulus will be. https://www.washingtonpost.com/graphics/business/coronavirus-stimulus-check-calculator/

I assumed there is some partial Tax. IDK.
If it is the same as the previous stimulus, it isn't taxed.

Does this mean you actually checked to see the how many threads there were? What a huge undertaking for something that is of absolutely no importance what-so-ever. Really, who cares if Matt is gay or not and why would anyone care?

Are you really this dumb, or do you actually think that being purposely obtuse makes you any less of a senile old fool?
Why do you feel compelled to post your stupidity in every thread on Getbig?
Nothing you post provides anything of value, knowledge, insight, or humor. Obviously your evening’s entertainment is to sit home alone, drunk, and post here ruining the banter among members with your idiotic opinions and Googled regurgitated garage.
Now I understand why so many posters here despise you. You would think by the time a person got to your overly advanced age they would have picked up at least a small amount of self-awareness.

I'm not a Millennial. The Boomers received the money as well.

On the contrary Les, the money isn't derived from taxes. The money was literally infused into circulation by the federal reserve.
It has nothing to do with wealth redistribution from taxes.

Wonder why I didn’t get anything
Hm
-
EPIC. My best guess is that you will receive yours eventually as I believe that the $600/per was initially sent to those receiving Social Security and those with bank accounts, and/or one other 'thing' which I have forgotten.
But don't count on anything I have stated above because I am as dumb as an oyster when it comes to government 'free stuff'.
On numerous occasions I have been telling 'sick people' that I never have to pay a medical bill and have never paid a cent for medical coverage (I have VA as well as UHC) ... only to recently realize that I am actually paying about $150/month to UHC.... as deducted from mY SS account.
I have to assume that my 'dum-ness' was/is due to too many years in the Corps when all this important shit was 'administered' by someone other than myself.
It was all 'automatic' and something that I never had to worry about.
Some of you GetBiggers are most likely paying $300 - $500 m each month for med insurance.
My advice ... Join the Corps ... and let them worry about it.
Sorry! The above is way off-track but my typing fingers went on Automatic.

I got $1800 today , $600 each ,me , my wife and my kid .
I'm happy for you and your family.
After the last stimulus check, where I think I got something like half what was advertised, I'm not holding my hopes out for more than enough for a dinner out.....problem is that right now, that would be a take out dinner since restaurants aren't allowed to serve people indoors at this time. Not only that, but if history repeats itself, I'll be among the last people to see that money deposited in my account. Fortunately, it is not something I've been counting on like so many other much more needy folks.
