COACH, What are the membership rates?
I thought that the Raider team members would train there but I've been told that they have their own great gym in their Henderson complex.
Average monthly Las Vegas gym membership has been as low as $20/month. Can Dragon's Lair possibly compete against that?
Are there enough heavy duty lifters in Vegas willing to support the heavy duty gym that Flex has built and are willing to pay a substantial amount more each month?
I do wish Flex a lot of luck in what appears to be a very competitive market.

The average price is $10 a month? Off the top of my head as far as commercial gyms that have a $25 monthly starting fee there’s 24 hr fitness, Las Vegas Athletic club, EOS fitness and Lifetime. EOS is the only one that offers a $10 a month option.
Stunt are there places charging less than $10 a month?

Dragon's Lair seems to be at gym preferred by competitive bodybuilders ... and many competitive bodybuilders (IFBB Pros mainly but COACH included) in the past have usually received complimentary guest memberships or passes ..... as Bevo stated above.
I got to agree with TommyWishbone as those fees seem accessibly high even though it appears to be one hell of a good gym .... but definitely not for the average 'GI Joe"!

This will be the new Meccan. Yes, it’s expensive no doubt. If I saw the hours correctly they’re open from like 4am-midnight closed only for cleaning. He has several lines of equipment but the Arsenal equipment is absolutely badass.

Toward the back on the turf there are two arsonal full rack one with a jammer and one arsonal 1/2 rack along with a deadlift platform complete with thick bands.

Great looking gym, but I too, wonder how well it will do. There isn't a need for 'mecca" type gyms anymore, Facebook and Instagram have killed that off. I hope it does well on tourist traffic.

$9 a month membership for military, law enforcement and 1st responder is definitely the lowest gym rate in LV and possibly worldwide unless your med insurance offers you a membership for FREE.
Thank you for your service, FLEX, but does that $9 fee apply to USA vets and retired USA military individuals??

Do they accept Silver and Fit memberships which cost old guys like me nothing. The gym gets paid by the program only for days I actually show up. Most gyms rely on people opting for long term memberships and then only going once or twice. ;)

I had a membership there for two months. There’s good and bad.
It’s a nice gym but it’s not huge at all, that’s why they have a membership cap. They only have one piece of most things, so you will have to wait sometimes.
Nearly everyone that works out there films themselves as well…Tripods all over lol. So if that bothers you, you’ll hate this place. Every wannabe musclehead or bikini girl is there now. Constantly filming or taking pics.
Flex is there almost everyday. Super nice guy.. Rhoden and his girl are cool too.
I would assume he will have to make the gym private soon. Or move to a bigger location/expand with more top guys moving to Vegas. We’ll see what happens after Hide opens his gym here. Flex is killing it here though. Doesn’t seem like he’s competing anytime soon either.

Well, was how Golds was built. When others see top pros or athletes, strong men, fighters etc training there others will follow. When I was in yesterday, along with Hassan, Nick Best was training Frank Mir the day before Rhoden and Stan De Longeaux were there with a few other lower level Classic pros.

was successful over many years when the monthly fee was reasonable and even then Pete claimed that it took the Gold's Gym t-shirt sales to pull it out of the hole.
And believe it or not but Pete once told me that the decision to place a bench beside the front window encouraged people to come in, have a seat, and watch the activity .... and they seldom left without purchasing a T-shirt.
In the beginning ... those T-shirts were a major factor in keeping the business going.

City athletic club was one of the biggest if not biggest gym in Vegas and it closed down, rebranded as kilo “private” fitness
They had everyone training there, MMA fighters, celebrities, every fitness person, YouTube person, Instagram Hoe you can think of, they were all there
Destination dallas - has been through 2 owners, and on its 3rd as we speak
Powerhouse gym, chatsworth, CA. One of the original gyms where I used to train, hardcore, pros, top amateurs, porn stars, strippers, they are all there. Now it’s a crunch fitness. The parking lot looks like a 3rd world country with all the homeless fucks all over
24 hour fitness, chain gym, filed bankruptcy during Covid but was going down way before that. Many gyms closed down and they are currently restructuring
Planet Fitness is the only chain gym or gym of any sort that’s profitable, and guess what, they charge like 10 dollars a month for basic membership which is good enough for the average gym goer

It's hard to believe that this guy never won a pro show. He even lost the 1998 Mr. Universe (overall) to Hamdullah Aykutlu (after Aykutlu forfeited his IFBB pro card).
My guess is the judges didn't think he was shredded/emaciated enough.
He had thin skin and looked great, but he always seemed to be about 5 pounds of water shy of really dialing it in.
