Quarterbacks and pitchers aren't allowed to do much lifting during their pro careers because of shoulder flexibility. After retirement some of them go ape shit on the weights. Brady Quinn is an NFL example.

Tom Brady, Peyton Manning Drew Brees didn't lift upper body either. I was using an example of a QB who is now jacked.

Did Brady get big after his career? Theisman used to blast him for spending to much time in the gym. I think he even accused him of being more concerned with being a fitness model instead of a quarterback.

Those dudes never made it 3 years..... Quinn spent double the amount of time in the league.
Im sure Cleveland thought they were spending a first round pick on a 7 year backup that was never going to see the field. He was great for depth.

When he was at Notre Dame they made him quit working out. Look at his pics his freshman year. He was pretty small but ripped. You could tell he spent a lot of time in the gym. NFL teams don't let QB's work out chest or arms.
