Very very sad. Rest In Peace Bob. ❤️
-
That’s so sad to hear…icon of the industry. Good conservative and Christian man

Very sad this is the price a lot of people have paid with all the covid crap. The collateral damage of the lockdowns, so many people that didn’t die lost everything else because of it weather it be jobs, spouces, loved ones, money, property
It’s really sad and where ever and by who started it should pay.

A look inside his old NJ gym -
.
(you can click the channel page and see more.)
Greg, Romano, Palumbo, and tons of NE and NY Tristate guys must be crushed. Bonham was one of those old school guys that loved the sport and just happened to own a great gym. He was a major part of the scene, especially in the 90's, early 2000's.
RIP.

I have heard of this guy for what seems like forever.R.I.P.

Wow horrible story, Palumbo just went over what happened - Bonham was in kidney failure, and developed dementia, and decided to end it. He hung himself a few weeks ago, failed, then succeeded yesterday. He told Valentino and a few others he was going to do it.
Also, just as an aside, he was 70. I never would've guessed that.

DAMN ,,,terrible new and way to end a life.he ran his gym back in the day militant,he would call you out on not racking weights over speaker.

Rip. I know people say it’s a cowards way out to off yourself but I think you have to be pretty bad ass to do so.
-
I was shocked when I heard this yesterday, I knew he was in a bad way health wise but didn't know the extent. I started the gym life when he had his first one, by the time he expanded to the last one I had already moved from the area.
I'm still friends with his ex wife's brother, trying to find out if the services are in Fla or back in Jersey. He was a good guy, he definitely took gym ettiqute seriously. Have seen him toss out many a person, no matter their bodybuilding status, for making a wreck of the place. Definitely going to be missed.

I agree with you especially in this case. It is a shame that at 70 and with all the ailments he was suffering from that he couldn't make the choice to have his life ended in a more peaceful, controlled manner and surrounded by loved ones. The same level of respect, compassion and humanity that we show for our pets.
