Title: TOP % ROID GURUS!
Post by: stuntmovie on November 13, 2021, 03:58:19 PM
Hey, YOU!!!

Based on your personal knowledge, who are the top 5 gurus for professional bodybuilders ......regardless of your personal regards/opinions for each.

Rate each guru on a scale of 1 - 10. (10 being unquestionably knowledgeable and 1 being unquestionably uneducated and dangerous.

What are the approximate fees or terms which  each guru charges?

Do you believe that gurus should be accountable for any health issues which may  result if their client suffers physical damage or death?

Are you aware of any 'contract' which a guru offers to a client which would protect that guru in the event of a client's injury or death

And please rate yourself as follows:

A.  I am a guru for professional bodybuilders.
B.  I consider myself to be an expert regarding this subject and competitive
     bodybuilders seek my advice.
C.   I know very little about this subject but I do watch YouTube videos about
      it.
D.   I don't know nut'en!

ASKING for a friend!

Tell your friend to search up a getbig poster called sev.

He's probably the best guru this forum has ever produced.

No one knows your body better than you. Do your own research. Make your own choices. Your health is your responsibility and yours alone.

No book can tell you how your body is going to react. No guru knows how your body is going to react just because someone else reacted one way doesn't mean you will. We all have unique physiologies. That is why taking trial and error bro science one person used and applying it to yourself doesn't work. You need to experiment yourself and see what works for you. Of course a book is a good start to get some ideas.

Keep up your experimentations.

Maybe something will work eventually.

Someparts/Taffin,

No plea deal ...... but it sure  as hell appears to be after re-reading my original post.

And you gotta believe me when I tell ya that I am not one who is guilty of spilling the beans nor stirring the pot, but now that I realize that you may consider otherwise, I tend to be somewhat suspicious of my neighborly 'friend'.

Coach, Iron, Thanks for your Liewellyn book recommendation. I assume that there is no  chance of being arrested if I purchased a copy ..... for a friend of course.

Forget all the shitty questions I offered above .... except for this following one....

Is it remotely possible that a guru could be held accountable for a client's eventual illness or demise?

P.S. The cop next door had nothing to do with this question.

imagine being a state level bodybuilder - taking 1-1.5g test a week hitting the crazy shit for shows - you have a few national level shows under your belt

you seem to diet and maintain drug protocols well up to this point - so you decided to "go for it" - get the IFBB plate to attach to your name for clout

so you employee said "guru" and seek advice to get "next level"

except it shit you would never do - like take loads of t3, up your gh to where you can barely afford it, maybe take some strange amount of insulin where you were getting hypo on 1/3 of that dose, the craziest part is the food - the calories/numbers you have to hit, daily

so now the guru is just there to keep you reassured as you turn yourself into some sort of feed cattle experiment - "hey my feet are swollen when I wake up" - fck it bro pay me first, find me 2 more clients , and just do fasted cardio while lowering the morning carbs some

Can you sue the fry cook at Mcdonalds?

Yep exactly foolishness to entrust your life to someone like that some of these precontest protocals look like suicide missions

BHANK, Yes I think I could sue that fry cook if he cooked the fries that he knew could possibly kill me.

But let me ask my friend to make sure I answered correctly.

He's a lawyer for the IFBB guys ... he says!

Pretty sure anyone can sue anyone in the good ole United States of Attorneys :) But I doubt you'd win and even if you did I doubt you'd be able to collect much money from a fry cook.

There was talk of suing Shelby Starnes by some do-gooder women a few months ago. Apparently Shelby's lawyer got in touch with some these women and the matter was dropped. That's how I understood it.

I'm sure you can sue anyone for anything in the US but IMO it's basically on the athlete in the end. You know you aren't getting advice from a doctor.

While this may seem odd to some on here....the guy who knew the most about PEDs in my 30 odd years in the Venice BB world....was Gary Strydom. Incredibly smart when it came to the topic. Incredibly safe in his advice. While not a guru......I would trust his advice over 99.9% of them all

Hi Gary Strydom.

You can sue them for anything you feel is acceptable.

Winning the lawsuit or even making it to court is different.

To my knowledge, you cannot hold a "guru" liable for your actions and for your health. They are not medical experts and are not bound by law to protect your health.

You should educate yourself and understand what you are taking.

Most young bodybuilders are very naïve and will do anything they are told in the name of "gains". It's easy to get caught in the bullshit.

Personally, i believe they should be held partially liable for their health, but there are too many other factors that impact health. Or they might be taking more than prescribed with more compounds. More is always better with AAS. Until the side effects overwhelm you.

There is a reason MD's and Endo's do not help people prepare for a bodybuilding show. A lot of people still do not understand how unhealthy this "sport" is today. Plus they do not study gear at an extreme level, so having a guru is the best option you will ever have.

As with everything in life, it is your responsibility to research and educate yourself on matters. I've had a GP doctor give me terrible advice before and thankfully i knew it was bogus and switched doctors.

The whole "sue the guru" thing has been talked about for years. I remember on Misc.Fitness.Weights, Pat Arnold, Kneller, Duchaine, and a few others were worried about it too for a bit. They'd always just throw in "Hypothetically", "What I would do is", etc.... I think Duchaine was worried about parole officers, seeing it also.

I doubt we'll ever see a lawsuit that makes a difference in "guru"ing   anyway. These guys are small potatoes.
