Title: is the Open class Mr.Olympia the real mr.O ?

I find it funny that now any category winner automatically believe that they are in the same field as Haney, Yates, Coleman and even Arnold

While I'd love to see Flex Lewis compete at the Mr.O . I also think he needs to win an open show and qualify first .

I agree with you the Open Winner is the "official Mr. O'" However, Flex has won the 212's 7x and clearly has earned the right to a special invite for his 1st year in the open. After that, if he doesn't place top 5 to auto-qualify for the next year, then the rules are the same as for anyone else.

Just two cents on what I think would be fair, and I think most pro's respect Flex so much that they'd be fine with that.

More Mainstream appeal makes a Mr.O ? since when ?

Then you have to consider Calum Von Moguer he is more mainstream than any Mr.O including current champ Big Rami .
