Maybe he has at least a year to train first.

Man! Larry is the only He- man!! Period. What a great guy. So much fun back in the Venice days. Larry Ferris was also on the scene. Greatest times. Didn't Larry Opiela also work as Conan in the studios?I remember something like that but boy we partied quiet a bit..

So he-man is suppose to be and going to look like a teenager? lol!...
surprised hollywood didn't cast a woman....
-
I guess none of you actually watched the He-man cartoons.
He-man is the transformed/powered up Prince Adam, and Prince Adam is a tiny tit teen. So yeah the casting is pretty accurate.
-
Was there more than one cartoon? I don't remember prince Adam being a tiny tit.
I do like the skeletor memes :)

After the original there have been maybe 4 or 5.
The original used the same template for Prince Adam and He-men. Most of rest didn't. He's meant to be like a 16 yearold.
Maybe they'll CGI jack the actor like Hulk

Prince Adam looks exactly like He-Man except he's wearing a tight white shirt.

Thats the 1983 cartoon. They were cheap when it came to animation and reused templates. Even Skelator and He-man had the exact same body.
This is what he looked like in some of the other cartoons

They've got the GH head and hands correct. Hair seems too much. Hankins in a toupee is the new He-Man?

The mini comic that came with the toy?
Netflix has a documentary series about toys from the 80s and there is an episode of He-Man. I believe the creator of the figure said they created the toy before they had a backstory and that’s why the mini comic was introduced.

The mini comic was just about He-man going around being a hero (1981).
DC comics (1982) introduced Prince Adam and filled in the back story for He-man.

Okay so is the prince Adam that was introduced in 1982 a twink or was he He Man in a white shirt and vest?

You can see the difference between 1982 Prince Adam (blue tunic) and He-man in the pic I posted. He's smaller and for the comic book world he's a tiny tit

Thanks for posting this.
Based on these depictions Prince Adam has good musculature, big arms, large forearms but thin legs. He Man is obviously larger but Adam appears to be, based on his size compared to the woman, to be the size of Bhanks and He Man is prime Ronnie Coleman.
Its not like this is Bruce Banner becoming the Hulk.

This is a Fisher Price doll and their market is mostly infants, so it's more infantilized.

As the ‘80s cult classic turns 30 on Monday, Heat Vision took a look back via the documentary at some of the struggles the production faced, including a portion of the final battle between He-Man and Skeletor (Frank Langella) being fought on an empty stage, with a single light source because production had been shut down before they could finish.
“I saw the rough cuts, I listened to Dolph Lundgren’s voice and I just about had a heart attack,” Paul Cleveland, Mattel marketing executive says in the documentary. “It’s OK if He-Man has a little bit of an accent, but you have got to be able to understand him.”
The then-30-year-old Lundgren apparently struggled with his lines, and both Cleveland and director Gary Goddard wanted him dubbed, but the actor had it written into his contract that he got three attempts to get it right before he would be looped by someone else, the Mattel executive says in the documentary.
“We actually did bring in a few actors to loop test, to show the studio, and one of them was flawless,” Goddard tells doc makers Corey Landis and Roger Lay Jr. “To this day, I wish we would’ve done it, but [producer] Menahem [Golan] was like, ‘Nope. We’re going to stick with Dolph.'”

He’s MASSIVE! No CGI needed
-
This is such absolute crap. There is no reason to remake this film. Why does Hollywood feel the need to remake classics and tarnish the legacies?
It’s obviously going to fail horribly. No one is going to want to see this. I haven’t heard a single person ever in my life mention that they hoped a new He-Man could be made. I am a huge Karate Kid fan and when the new movie came out recently I didn’t go see it. I had no desire. And He-Man will be the same. I bet the studio is banking on childhood fans of the original going to see this disaster. But they won’t.
I see Amazon MGM and Mattel Films are releasing this. Never knew Mattel had a film studio. I bet Bezos is behind this and is pushing for it. I always thought that when he was younger he dreamed of being a rich and powerful world power who could use his money to buy anything and do anything he dreamed of. First he made himself look like a pumped up superhero, next he was buying a rocket to go to space, and now he’s making movies about his childhood heroes.
Who’s going to play the zany Gwildor troll in this masterpiece? Will he be CGI/AI? Or perhaps Derek Lumpsford, Marvin Fitzwater, or Hadi Choopan?

How exactly are they remaking a "classic movie"?
The original IP is from a comic book series. Everything else since is a remake (reimagining) of that including the 1987 movie.

The 1987 film is a cult classic. It’s peak 80s perfection, right up there alongside Robocop, Ghostbusters, Karate Kid, Never Ending Story, and Terminator.
The short lived live action show, the spin off follow up show, then the cartoon, and comics were great. But it was the film that is the epic masterpiece.

The 1985 movie "The Secret of the Sword" is a cult classic, as is the 1987 movie and the 1983 Pilot episode "Diamond-Ray of Disappearance".
Peak 80s perfection.

Or perhaps Derek Lumpsford?
might as well get lunsford.. he shares chemical constituents with the original plastic he man action figures

Muscular men are a product of toxic masculinity. The new He-Man will be more in touch with his feelings and have a boss babe girlfriend to show him way.

Skeletor was my favorite. I noticed in the 80s and 90s films, many of the villains died at the end of the movie by falling off buildings and into pits. Skeltor’s death into the abyss, the Shredder falling off the building into the dumpster, Dick Jones in Robocop falling out the window. I’m sure there are others…

Skeletor was the best
Such wit, such mind and such affinity for sorcery...
I always imagined what would happen if he would manage to coordinate his team a bit better, Evil Lyn as artillery/glasscannon from the back, Beastman (with his summoned pets) and Triklops tanking in the front, Merman debuffing and slowing with his Pools and seacreatures, Trapjaw at medium-range with his assortment of weaponry, Webstor attacking stealthily from the back, backstabbing Hemans casters like Sorceress and Orko, Stinkor stinkin´up the healers with his Debuffs etc
Possibilities could have been endless with preptime and coordination , working as a team.
Sending in Clawful, Two-Bad, Whiplash, Jitsu as a second wave etc
