Let me get this straight, because maybe I'm misunderstanding you... in your interpretation of American history, what happened is that Native Americans complained for so long, and colonizers tried to get them to assimilate and after they refused, colonizers got so sick of their complaining that the Natives were shunned onto reservations?

No, my point is that there is integration or isolation. The melting pot is real. You can still maintain cultural identity, but only through assimilation into the mainstream American power structure. But the idea of not integrating and maintaining some sort of racial or cultural "purity", is the same premise of hardcore white nationalists who want no assimilation of other races.. And those whites have been shunned, relegated to the deep south swamps, mountains or other isolated places, living in poverty.
