This thread is in appreciation for three women I believe should of been the direction female bodybuilding headed, but unfortunately did not. Cory Everson, Rachel Mclish, and Sharon Bruneau to me typify what female bodybuilding should have become.

This shot was for Ironman magazine back in the day. I have never seen this shot before. To me it demonstrates the balance between the upper body development in comparison to the lower body. When you do weight training try to keep “body balance” in mind... no body part should stand out as they should all flow nicely together. It’s the perfect balancing act. So think balance, NOT size.

I remember reading Muscle and Fitness as a teenager in the 80's and wondering how the fuck a square like Jeff Everson bagged a girl like Corey.
I didn't know him , obviously, but I slways thought wtf?. It seemed after her ms. Olympia run was over she thought she was going to make mark in Hollywood. And it was around then that they split up.
From the outside looking in, it seemed like she dumped him when there was bigger things on the horizon.
Whatever became of them? Didn't he die relatively young?

Jeff built Cory and without Jeff there would be no Cory. Very few women were into bodybuilding in the late seventies.

They divorced in the late 90's and he died in 2019 at the age of 68.

The bigger story is how well Rachel and Cory aged. That's what I think the IFBB is getting wrong. If women realized bodybuilding could make you look great and keep you looking good into old age they would be all for it.
