Royalties on mineral rights for gas and oil should go up. This will help me cover part of increase at the pumps. Although, the odometer on my 6 year old car, which averages about 28 mpg, reads around 30,000 mi.

Being retired, I am in the unique position of not having to drive much. As I previously stated, my 6-year-old car which averages 28 mpg has only 30,000 miles on it. I also know that the price of fuel drives the cost of goods and services which have skyrocketed lately. Breakfast out the other day at a Sheri’s (like a Denny’s) restaurant cost me $23.00, nearly twice as much as it would have run a year ago.
I understand today’s ridiculous and obscene gas prices are a problem for many people. For example, the landscaper and his crew who take care of my place are on the road all day long driving their trucks and trailers from one job to the next. And they also buy even more expensive high octane, low ethanol fuel to operate their equipment.
Politicians, regardless of their party affiliation, are not at the top of my list of favorite and trustworthy people. If my not liking someone means I suffer from some form of derangement as in my overall dislike of Donald Trump as a person, then I guess you could say I have TDS. I don’t see it as that. BTW, I don’t trust Joe Biden either.

Yes, very eye opening. Very hard to refute their evidence. That is why all The Reviews lied about the movie because they couldn't refute it. When people have less liquid income, rather than hire someone to work for them, they'll do it themselves. With many self-employed and small business owners it is feast or famine. And in this case, it is coming right after a two-year shutdown that bankrupted many of these people.
When I was a kid, I earned money by mowing lawns, gardening and occasionally babysitting for neighborhood folks. Later, when I was a teenager, I worked with my dad during school holidays and breaks as a house painter. My working career spans over 50 years. I remember what it is like to work for a living. I know that I am lucky not to have to work now to make ends meet.

Something similar. The 'shitbag' I drive is a 2016 Mazda CX3 Grand Touring with AWD and a leather and suede interior. It's a compact vehicle which is perfect for me since I rarely need room for passengers. I seldom get fuel more than once a month, so the small gas tank is big enough. After a little more than 6 years, I've put a grand total of 30,500 miles on it.
What's wrong with a VW bug? I drove a 1973 VW bug. Put a new engine in it and saved it for my daughter's 16th birthday. She drove it for about 4 years before trading it in.
Been driving since was 15 years old. Over 62 years of buying cars, I've had many different makes and models. My first one was a 1955 Chevrolet, Bel Air convertible. It was the exactly the same as the one Cheech Marin "Born in East LA" drove, including the two-tone coral and ivory colorway.

I buy Honda C-RV's and drive 'em til they die or I total them. (They have 13-gallon tanks).
In late 2003 we bought a C-RV (its a 2004 model) my daughter is still driving it almost 19 years later, nothing has ever went on it except tires and brakes.

As I remember it, the FWD has a larger tank. Mine is an AWD. Prior to buying it, I did a little research. The small gas tank was mentioned as a negative. For me, it isn't a problem. For someone who drives a lot, constantly needing to buy gas would be annoying.
Can't remember exactly what I paid for this Mazda. It was over $30,000 for sure. It is 'loaded' the only add-on I didn't get was parking assist, (I'm known for my excellent parallel parking skills). :) This morning I checked Kelly Blue Book and the trade in value is nearly $25,000. This is very little depreciation for 6 1/2 years.
I am not planning on replacing it though. -Figured it would probably be the last car I buy. If I purchased another car, I'd probably get an all electric vehicle, because soon that will be all that is available.

If it gets good gas mileage, the 11-gal tank Im sure is fine. LIke you said, youre probably not driving a ton these days.
My 13-gallon tank, when I was going in every day to work (45 minute drive each way) the 13-gallon tank was plenty. I would fill up once a week.
I work at home full-time these days, so I dont fill it much these days, every 2-3 weeks..

I get divs from Exxon which was part of Standard Oil.
Stock price had dropped a lot but now way up. It's a great hedge against high fuel prices so I hang on to it. Pays an excellent dividend.

For a geezer, I am doing well. Due to my having cataracts I am going to have Lasik soon. It should improve my distance vision, but I'll still need reading glasses. The doctor is also going to put in a stent for glaucoma.
Aside from the fact that I eat smaller portions than I did when I was younger and more active, there's nothing special about my diet. I eat whatever I want. You'll be pleased to know that I do eat far less meat these and more vegetables days. I'm having a Walmart salad for lunch today. I had coffee, OJ and about 1/2 cup of cottage cheese for breakfast. My weight stays right around 175 lbs. which seems to be a healthy weight for me. Unlike Bhank, I have no digestive issues, never have had.

Thanks. It's mostly genetics. Both my parents were lean. I am around 70" these days. -Used be just shy of 6' when I was younger. My spine compressed over the years and my posture sucks.

A friend lent me his inversion table. Using it felt weird. It didn't do much but then I didn't use it much either. :)
