Title: John Brown the Bodybuilder should be celebrated more. He's a legend
Post by: Wiggs on February 01, 2023, 01:04:08 PM
Taught Shawn Ray, Vince Taylor and many others how to train and pose. Think about that. From the beginning. Took two of his 3 sons to the NFL. Had an incredible physique himself at 6'2 242. Multiple Mr. Universe winner. Dude is hardcore, smart and charismatic. Dude literally changed posing in bodybuilding.

Why may you ask was he black balled or should I say white balled? Racism back in the 80s. He was a rogue negro that did and said what he wanted. There's a price to pay for that.

Anyway, FREAKING LEGEND!

John Brown, the REAL trainer of champions.

You cant really take your sons to the NFL unless they’re born with black athlete privilege freak genetics. Just ask Coach!

But other than the goofy names he gave them, he appears to have done a great job.

I dont think they can cry racism. Sergio, Haney, Dickerson, etc. all pushed and promoted.
Just wasn't top-tier like them...

Great physique, but he is exactly where he needs to be in BB history.

Durant probably wondered how raising cattle could have prevented tearing his achilles.

If you lift a calf everyday by the time it’s a cow you’re significantly stronger . It seems simple on paper.

The little one is good slot receiver, will definitely make it to a lucrative 8 figure free agent contract.  The middle one was a better student than football player.  The oldest is injury prone and maybe looking for yet another team in the offseason.

Racism in the 80s, with SEVEN of the TEN Olympias of that decade won by black men (and one by a Lebanese dude)?

How does that work?

There's a long interview with John done some years ago where he speaks in depth about it. I don't remember who conducted the interview.

Same with Bob Paris. He suffered from being white. Racism had no boundaries in the 80's.

But that’s just his opinion and excuse since he wasn’t good enough unlike Sergio, Haney, Samir, etc

Simply put, he wasn’t good enough in the IFBB to be a top competitor unlike some of his other peers so he made excuses

I've heard that the Block's Gym Logo was based on John Brown's physique.  I think he also was smart enough to marry a good woman who ran shit in the house right and brought those kids up with some discipline.
