I`d stay home too..he`s rich and can afford the best of care.

TBH I thought he had already passed...he must be 90 or so.

I hope to be as ancient, not gonna lie. The way cancer runs in my family, though: unlikely. Most men are gone by 75/80 tops.

Yeah that's no fun, either: but I'd kit my wheelchair out with flamethrowers like in South Africa and turn the wheels into Colosseum gladiator type rims with those spikes on them so I can fuck peoples shins up if they fuck around. I'll act the daft old fool in front of the judge and by then I'll be a minority so can claim victim status.

The average age of my grandparents is 81.7, or something very close. I think my 90-year-old grandmother will live to 100, which will bring that average up to over 84, but time will tell.

75-80 is pretty high, and it also depends on their lifestyles. Personally, I feel my dad's dad took 15+ years off his life from his 64 years of drinking and smoking. Smoking alone takes a decade off a person's life for lifetime smokers.

Vince I’m confused by what you’re saying.

Hospice care is not administered in a hospital, it’s in home care for final treatment. The hospital will stop treating patients who are in terminal stages of whatever disease they have. They typically don’t keep patients until they die.

Hospice is necesary at a certain point , but i see it as a suicide unit for what it really is. Folks are not educated on mental and physical health they are usually the first to go but you can still be a good person just lacking a get well plan. People who exercise are most likely are gonna find the road to death more pleasant than those ignorant of the temple

Carter may be at home, but he is still in hospice care. When my wife was in hospice, they provided in-home care by  certified medical staff. At least one person and usually more folks from Hospice visited daily, they provided meds to keep her comfortable, a hospital bed, and a 24 hour on-call nursing care.

President Carter was largely ineffective in office, but even most of his harshest critics judge him to be a fundamentally decent human being.  I hope his last days are as peaceful as possible.

My grandmother on my dads side died 4 days before her 100th. My grandmother on my moms side died at 96. My father died at 54, he was a workaholic, drank a six pack a day and smoked probably a pack or more a day. Same with my grandfather when it came to smoking. He died at 68. Getting older makes me think about my own mortality.

Not sure nor will I try to guess where I’ll wind up on the spectrum between my dad and grandfather and my grandmothers

Jimmy Carter goes home to die?

Former President Jimmy Carter to begin receiving hospice care at home following hospitalizations

Former President Jimmy Carter will begin receiving hospice care at home following a series of hospital stays, his foundation said in a statement on Saturday.

"After a series of short hospital stays, former U.S. President Jimmy Carter today decided to spend his remaining time at home with his family and receive hospice care instead of additional medical intervention," the statement said. "He has the full support of his family and his medical team. The Carter family asks for privacy during this time and is grateful for the concern shown by his many admirers."

The Carter Center did not provide details on his recent hospitalizations. His grandson, Jason Carter, said in a tweet that, "I saw both of my grandparents yesterday. They are at peace and—as always—their home is full of love. Thank you all for your kind words."

President Joe Biden was made aware of Carter's decision to begin hospice care and the White House is in touch with the Carter family and close advisers, according to a White House official.

Carter, 98, is the oldest living former American president and the first American president born in a hospital. He was diagnosed with cancer in Aug. 2015 — melanoma that had spread to his liver and brain — but was later declared cancer-free. In 2019, he also suffered a black eye in a fall and was later hospitalized with a fractured pelvis due to a separate fall.

On my dad's side, my great grand and grand parents live to over 90.

Ate fried food daily, drank coffee like crazy and all smoked.

My great grandfather was still farming 7 days a week at 94 years old. I used to watch him toss 50 pound hay bails into the back of his truck like nothing.

Genetics of peace.

Folks’ lifespans in your family history are like mine. Both my parents died young. In contrast several of aunts, uncles and a couple of grandparents lived to be quite old for their generation. Longevity seems to be a combination of lifestyle and good luck. My mom smoked as many as 5 packs of cigarettes a day. Not surprisingly, she died of emphysema. My father suffered from depression, and I suspect alcoholism. Both my dad's sisters lived to be quite old. They both lived long, happy, and healthy lives.

Before I was an adult my mom's psychic told her I would die before I was 30 years old. My mom immediately purchased a life insurance policy on me. She was never one to pass up an opportunity to make money. Well ha, ha, guess I fooled both she and her inept fortuneteller who died young… probably from all the bad karma she put out.

On another note, Jimmy Carter is someone who I have always admired. When he became president, my uncle who lived abroad asked, "who is this peanut farmer". He may not have been the most effective president, but he is a fine person and someone to emulate.

I assumed by "members" he was discussing their cocks and respective lengths. I was only confused at which system they were measured in.

When I was young me, my dad, grandfather,  brothers would occasionally all pee together and I remember dad, grandpa had very thick, veiny cocks, and they weren’t hard either. They tell me it runs in the family. Grandpa would say to me when you grow up you’ll have the same and he was right
