In just about every model of an advanced civilization- whether it's star trek or your average sci-fi novel or 70's B movies- theres a notion that as society and civilization become more advanced it also becomes increasingly logical.
Yet the oppsite seems to be happening. Emotions rule at the exclusion of rational thought.
