I checked the main page - I didn't see a thread on this particular news story. I see the main trans and women's sports thread, but I felt this one was pretty extreme and deserves its own thread.

I train at a couple of gyms on my side of the city where I live - one is called the Canada Games Complex. Around six years ago, they moved saunas from the change rooms to the main pool deck. They had a vote as to whether or not the change rooms should be segregated by gender.
All paying members were eligible to vote. 98% of the members who voted, voted yes.
So do you know what they did?
Made the changerooms gender-neutral.
Yet we tolerate it because of the kindness and decency of polite society putting up with it, as you said.

That's a great point. Very fair point, and reasonable to ask - do women REALLY want "equality" with men? They had safe space sports leagues that allowed them to compete where they wouldn't have ever been able to if they had to compete against men.
And as Van Bilderass said - this is ultimately different camps of feminists going at each other.
A part of me wants to leave it be...but another part feels it is a bit bullshit.
It just doesn't seem fair.
