DeSantis is getting killed in the polls, even with this coming down the pike. This isn't exactly news anymore.
He's the only one polling in double-digits, besides the Donald. But, so far, he's not gaining traction outside the Sunshine State.
The left-winged goons in the deep state were going to indict Trump, no matter what. He's already been indicted in that joke of a court in NYC/Manhattan. Yet, he's still clobbering the field.
At this rate, Trump could clinch the nomination before he goes to trial.

Democrats have weaponized law enforcement against political opponents. Far too many examples to list.
The FBI presented phony probable cause to a FISA court to get multiple warrants to do surveillance on Trump when he ran against Hillary. They knew it as manufactured bs from the Hillary campaign. Then they spent a sick amount of millions going after him with the Mueller investigation using Democrat loyal attorneys and Democrat loyal FBI agents coming up with nothing.
Then they tried to accuse Trump of doing what Biden actually did in the Ukraine. It all fell apart when their smoking gun the phone call was actually tape recorded by Trump proving they again were making up crap. How many major Democrat politicians have children doing "business" with the Ukraine prior to the war?
The next plan was to get him on taxes. Turned out he used every legal means to avoid paying taxes like everyone does and that case fell apart.
Remember the Russian prostitute story? That unraveled quick. What is it with Democrats blaming Russia but never use China? I will answer. It's because China is their cash cow they don't want to insult.
Then it was documents. Started to fall apart when Biden did the same. Now the spin is Biden's documents weren't classified. They are using a never used law on a President before that says all documents belong to the archives. Of course the archives is run by a Democrat.
Now we have a NYC district attorney who campaigned on getting Trump if elected. He never specified on what. Just that he would get him. You can get an indictment on a ham sandwich because only the prosecution presents the case. No defense is presented.
Now a Democrat prosecutors in Georgia are saying they will indict him too.
Anyone that doesn't believe Democrats have weaponized Federal, state and local law enforcement against political opponents is a fool or is ignorant blind. I haven't even mentioned the other cases of bs like when Ben Carson mocked Obama at an event they both attended to find the IRS was investigating him shortly after. He was never audited before in his life. Now they wanted years of documents. This country is turning into the Cuba, China or the old USSR where political opponents were dealt with.

All the investigations back and forth (and I guess these associated arrests and indictments) have not impressed me very much, with the exception of Jan 6 which stands different and above all else (IMHO). Is anything further on Jan 6 coming? Not sure, but voters will be reminded of that chaos if so.
Trump still is the likely Republican candidate and, then unlikely President. Just too much baggage and chaos for anybody but the devoted.
Pence and Haley and Tim Scott, etc. are all lost causes. Nobody seems to like them very much. DeSantis is a different story. As a Democrat, his election prospects worry me. And lots of people ARE very upset about issues like “wokeism”, crime, immigration, all of them legitimate issues to debate (except wokeism in my opinion which is way overblown as a national political issue although some of it is silly and gets me upset too).
Long story short: agree with the strategy above: get with DeSantis.

Also it's amazing how the overwhelming majority committed nothing other than a trespassing Federal statute. For that they were arrested put in solitary confinement with no trial for years. Amazing how the left won't acknowledge how they put together video to push their narrative of an unarmed insurrection. The video they didn't reveal shows the majority of people just walking around with the cops saying nothing. The left won't punish real criminals but will go all out to use law enforcement against anyone that might threaten their power.

I would think you would need a little more detail on my various policy views before labeling me, but if you want to call me a far leftist, that’s your right. Yes, I believe he instigated the Jan 6 invasion of the halls of government. And I view it as an extremely dangerous matter. This one rises above all else. I am not fully educated on the ariousvlegal actions against Trump but none of the other seem extreme to me: Examples:
1. Paying money to a porn star: unseemly but who cares
2. Falsifying business or tax records: unseemly but there but for the grace….. go many of us
3. Civil suit on rape: unseemly but who knows what really went on
4. This latest all the boxes at Mar-A-Lago, presumed innocent unless something truly serious comes out of this, not sure there was any real danger to the nation, but let the jurors decide.
But I cannot forgive him or the rioters regarding Jan 6, and I hope most Americans agree with me (but I do not know whether they do or do not).
