Cyplenkov is currently prepping for his match against Larratt ( right hand) on november 11
Will be interesting to watch since Dennis is sadly past his prime
In 2018, it didn't go well for Larratt ( it was a left hand match though )

Did Andy really think he could do well against Denis Cyplenkov in an arm wrestling match simply because he is strong, and when he saw how quickly Denis beat him, he felt the need to show him up by wrestling him?

Yes, technically it was. Dennis suffered a renal artery aneurysm in 2018 or early 2019.
He immediately underwent surgery ; a stent angiography

You can actually hear Dennis' backround voice commenting on that incident in this video.
It rubbed Andy the wrong way that Dennis "let him win" when they played armwrestling, so he decided to challenge him for real. Obviously, Dennis folded him effortessly which further angered Andy... ::)

Denis battled some bad kidney issues and lost most of his muscle at one point, but seems to have recovered, though it took years...
