One of my best muscle groups due mainly to shrugs.
-
Some form or shrug
Partial deadlifts (top quarter of movement)
High pulls
Application of sufficient intensity to these movements will make traps grow
Personally I don't train traps as they explode to the point where they overpower the delts
I feel I get sufficient stimulus from shoulder exercises
-
The dumb kvnts who do "rotating shrugs" (circular motion) in our gym, have zero traps...
Those who train 'em right (like this feller) have very good ones... ^^^

There's no excuse now with the availability of visual gym instruction online
I quite like wide grip BB shrugs

Levrone did a form of rotating shrugs in his M3 video
-
It all comes down to shoulder blade motion.
When average gym goers try to target their traps, more often than not, they are actually mobilizing the levator scapulae, which downwardly rotates the scapula.

Honestly, in 30 years, he grew very slowly if you've ever seen his progression video. Doesnt come across as a massive user...
Either that, or just not a great responder.

Do people still do those for real? I don’t know anyone who does those without crazy shoulder pain long term..they work though

Shoulder width grip, pulling to where your upper arm is parallel to the ground is ok for most. The narrow grip, pull to your chin is a shoulder killer for real though
