Within the same week Ian V. and Juji Mufu have detailed their hair transplants on social media. I get gym guys and bodybuilders are very vain (me too), but is this going to become as normative as PED? Both of them looked perfectly fine with shaved heads. wtf?
Would you do this (assuming you had the money)?
Bay no likey. :-X

juimufu went bald from all those peds

It's pretty cheap (weak Lira) to get it done in Turkey. So cheap holiday then hair transplants seems to be the go to reasoning.
Still got all my hair, but if I was young and bald then I probably would get it done.

Are they really saving that much money going to Turkey? After paying for flight and hotel? And who wants to travel post surgery?
-
I don’t judge anyone for doing whatever the fck they want to do to their body, but I can’t understand giving that much of a damn about hair? It’s so convenient to shave and living in a hot ass humid climate it’s much more comfortable. On the flip side when I have to travel to cold climates I DO have to make sure to keep head covered. I forgot to pack beanies / hats on a business trip to Wisconsin and had to go shopping - lol.

Bhanky the whole thing would cost you like $5k. Flights, hotel and surgery. You'll feel fine 24 hours post surgery. More than well enough to travel.
In the US it will probably cost 5 times as much.
-
Some of these guys make a big mistake artificially lowering their hairline. Do they think their natural hair won’t continue to fall out especially while on copious amounts of gear ??? Fortify your existing hairline, take dutasteride and pray. Also, their previous transplants don’t seem to be holding up

This is a good point BUT a yearly transplant in Turkey is still cheaper than a 12 month subscription to Butcher Box. You’re literally picking your poison.

I work at a pharmaceutical R&D firm. We have two products in development- one is an antimicrobial compound that kills infections in hours (I've used it and am stunned how well it works on infections). The other is a hair growth topical cream that has shown to work in as little as 12 weeks- and there are clinical studies that prove it.
The FDA is holding up the antimicrobial and is requiring us to run millions of dollars in studies so it will take years to get to market, if ever. The hair cream requires NO FDA approval.
Guess which one our investors are shoveling money into like its a fire sale? lol - yep- hair growth. The market is in the billions and the risks are so low as to be non existent.
This is why wonder drugs for medicine don't come along very often - unless you have very deep pockets no one wants to work on them.

A group of lads from the gym are going to Turkey in January together honestly if I had a passport I’d go with them

Good. The last thing we need is a bunch of 90 yearolds who have no control over their bowel movements beating death for an extra couple of decades.
Better they bleed to death at age 60 after living a life full of irresponsible financial decisions.

I don’t think I’ve seen one transplant that looks good. No one has a hairline that low, now when they age it’ll still be that low and look even goofier.

You probably have. You just didn't know they had hair transplants. It can be done in a way that looks more natural, but most don't go this route.
But yeah too many take the hair line too low, and have it look perfectly straight and symmetrical.

Thinking of getting this hairline, is this too low?

Yes. Many places include hotel stay in the price. It will be around 5k. You book the flight yourself but you can turn it into a vacation. Stay in Turkey or vacation in Greece while you're on that side of the world.
I'm not sure how much of a big deal it is to travel afterwards. My friend had his head swell up like a boxer after 12 rounds, but he flew back immediately afterwards. Most people don't fly back the very next day and wear a band around their head to prevent the swelling.
-
atleast it doesn't have much side effects
trying to beat nature with superphysiological steroid induced/assisted muscle growth usually comes with a price(shortended lifespan or early death)

Ah, the glorious free market at work ;D

I think hair transplants only make sense to rebuild and fortify a receding or thinning hairline. Best to prevent hair loss from the beginning by starting early with finasteride and/or minoxidil.
Oral minoxidil is supposedly the new wonder treatment, better than topical minoxidil or oral finasteride alone. I’m very satisfied with my results on finasteride alone but if I wasn’t I’d definitely try the oral minoxidil.

Priorities. Healthy long life = not important. Jacked and hair transplants = important. :-\
-
My friend paid 18k a year ago or so and the result after looked like he did before he started losing a lot.
Doesn’t seem like these doctors give great after care drug advice.
I think he jumped off the hair drugs, stayed on AAS, kept smoking cigarettes, and eats like shit leading to some hair already starting to fall out.
I’m one of the 33% or whatever who won’t lose their hair and I am thankful I don’t have to deal with that. I always assumed I’d have my hair so I’m sure it would be bit of a blow if it just starting falling out. I definitely wouldn’t be in denial so it would hit me quickly.

Ronald Regan, George Lucas, some of the best hairs of all time
75+ without any hair loss is truly in the 1 percentile
Every decade for men your chances get higher for hair loss, whether some shedding, receding hair line, etc….
Even Morgan freeman didn’t have any hair loss until he hit his 70’s in age, then finally shaved it all off

Thats a shame. There are probably 100's of drugs out there waiting on approval that could bettering if not saving lives

My uncle who is 75 has hair density of a 10 year old. My dad, his brother, was the same at 66 when he passed.

C'Bum and Ian's complete trip and hair transplants were comp'd by the transplant center in Turkey.

They all got theirs paid for buy Now Hair Time, flight, hotel, and transplant, Ian talked about it on the podcast. So for them it's definitely worth it, why they chose those super straight front hairlines is a strange look, I think a Slight receding look would look way better/natural.
-
It might look OK once it grows in even though it looks like a straight line at this time. Some of the transplanted follicles have 1, 2, or 3 hairs growing out of each transplanted spot. They're supposed to blend them in gradually, so the ones at the front of the line might have just one hair, the ones more towards the back having 3. So, although it is a strikingly straight line at this stage once they fully grow in it might look more blended.

There are! The FDA basically works on a payoff system. Companies with deep pockets get fast track approval. Smaller companies with revolutionary drugs are put to the back of the line. It's no accident a handful of companies in pharma are the only ones you see making new drugs-they are the ones getting the FDA's blessing.

Rather insulting that this kind of studies only got funded because of nut cases and not for normal men.

If God wanted men to have hair he wouldn't have made them bald.

Yeah but turns out giving people estrogen leads to blood clots. Better to stay bald.

Hair transplants never end well for steroid users, considering they rarely end well for natural guys who don't even lift. The norwood reaper can never be defeated. Those who deny that are denying reality. (typical for bodybuilders)
