"I mean, seriously, have you seen that guy?" said Hur to reporters. "I tried to ask him questions and he attempted to put my notepad in his mouth. The dude is totally zonked out for sure. I mean, we all knew this, right?"

The point is that it’s hard to tell satire from reality these days. I first read it thinking it has to be Babylon Bee but I checked to be sure.

The guy would get lost if they let him walk for more than a minute. He can't remember where he is, what he's doing at the podium, what the question was, who he talked to, if his son is alive or not, what person is the leader of a country past 1997, etc.
I can't wait until it devolves into him either admitting Obama is still running things from the basement by mistake or he regresses mentally to the point that he still thinks hes' VP. That may have already happened.
Total train wreck. No chance he gets elected again. I'd suggest he stay away from tall flights of stairs with a wife like his.

Looking at the responses from the usual cast of characters here up until yours, it appears these folks all amazingly believe Hur's quote is for real as is the supposed reporters’ comments. TBH, I am flabbergasted.
All Coach had to do was post a link to his source, The Babylon Bee and all of us would have had a good laugh at the satire. Nope, Coach wanted folks to think this was what Biden did. Message to Coach; you are a dishonest person.

The only comparison to Biden and Trump is age..the number. Cognitively Biden is oatmeal, a vegetable. Can’t walk, can barely form a sentence and literally talks to dead people. He’s had health problems for most of his time in Washington. This isn’t hyperbole, this is fact. Trump in the other hand has no history of health problems and longevity runs in his family and can give a speech or interview at will. Biden can’t ride a bike, Trump plays 18 holes of golf several times a week. Biden puts “lid” on the day at 4pm after starting his 10. Trump runs on 3-4hrs of sleep per day and has been doing that most of his life.
Trump has literally done more to better this country in his first 6-12mos in his first year in office than Biden has in his entire 50 years.

Strip out the personality, and look at the history and policy. Trump was right on so many things - the dishonest media, NATO, nafta, china, deregulation, keeping us out of wars, being self sufficient on fuel, etc.
Biden's experience in politics counts against him.
Would I still prefer two different candidates? Yup. I think Trumps messaging on Covid was abysmal, and his personality did not help at all during the pandemic. And, not all his fault, the reactions to him are exhausting. Biden is completely opposite what he ran on - he's divisive, non transparent, and makes key hires based on skin color and gender.
Yet here we are....

Well, I did not read your reply about transgender folks until now. I have almost nothing to add to this conversation because I feel we have talked this subject to death. Anyway, you answered your own questions. You clearly think more about what these folks do or don't do than I do. My guess is that I am more of a live and let live kind of person than you are. I don't know the two folks pictured and likely will never meet them. They can be whatever/whoever they choose to be. I could not care less.
My exposure to transgender folks is extremely limited. Decades ago, my wife and I went to the Darcelle XV drag show. Darcelle, who emceed the show was bawdy. My wife and I thought parts of the show were humorous and entertaining.
Darcelle (Walter Cole) was well liked and well thought of in Portland because he contributed greatly to Portland. In 2016 when Darcelle XV was almost 86 years old, he was recognized by Guinness World Records as the world’s oldest drag queen. He passed away in 2023.
One afternoon sometime in the early 2000's a trans person struck up a conversation with me at a Portland bar. Oddly enough we did not talk about them being trans. One thing I remember is they asked me if my teeth were false because they were so perfect and so white. Of course I know who they are. How could one not know who they are when you are constantly posting this photo of them. I know who a lot of people are, this does not mean that I know them. You don't know them either. When you know someone you have had enough personal contact with them to be familiar with them. When you know who someone is you have not had personal contact with them and only know what others have told you about them.

I support people minding their own business. If someone believes they were born the wrong gender, this is their business, not yours and not mine.

No one knows exactly what causes gender dysphoria. Some experts believe that hormones in the womb, genes, and cultural and environmental factors may be involved.
If someone believes for whatever reason they would benefit from gender-reassignment it is their business, and not yours. In what way do their life choices harm you? Have you never heard the saying, 'live and let live?'
You have previously made your opinion very clear about this, and by using some of the same examples as you did here. What isn't clear to me is what this has to do with the question you asked me and the answer I provided. Are you irked because I referred to Admiral Rachel L. Levine, MD as 'she?' If that is how she prefers to be addressed, that is up to her. If you prefer to think of Dr. Levine and 'he,' that is up to you. Just as how I choose to identify someone is my choice.
