No-one talking about this? I can't find a thread.
I hope AJ for boxing sake or it's finished. Boxing s almost done anyway.
-
Ngannou is big and durable but a sucker for a right hand which AJ's right is lethal. The fight should look like the Breazeale fight with a mid-round stoppage.

AJ has no heart for a fight and a glass jaw
He looked shit scared since they met
-
Aj did what fury should've
-
That should put an end to Francis' dreams as long as AJ is around. Sheesh. That's the hardest he's ever been hit.
-

Exactly ,
Francis wanted to Counter the jab with a hook
All from the jab to the body which AJ set up from the first punch.
Right hand
-
Impressive power from AJ, I hope Fury was shitting his pants.

If Nannou loses he should take him down and break his arms or at least choke him till he appears lifeless.

Good call.
Lololol

Massive knockout.
It's not that Ngannou can't make it in boxing, it's just that at this level it's too much for him.
I am pretty convinced that Fury choreographed his fight with Ngannou in order to bring him into the boxing world (easy payday). I don't for a second believe it was a true performance.
Ngannou now has a lot to think about.

Francis got knocked out cold. 3 knockdowns during the fight. I don't know if AJ is on a roll and getting better or if he figured out Francis which I think probably happened. I remember Fury saying that Francis was awkward to fight against and that was probably true and I knew that boxers would figure this guy out and I'm sure Francis will get the same outcome in his next fight. He's too old to improve his boxing skills fast enough to reach professional level. This makes AJ the heavy favorite against Fury. That should be an interesting fight

Boxing is in disrepute until we see that fight

Exactly, this.
There’s levels to this. Francis is not beating a top ten active heavyweight

AJ probably has the best boxing skills of all the big guys right now. Yeah, he's lost by KO and decision, but he can deliver the goods.
He did a wonderful and quick slip of the jab and countered with a right about 2 minutes into the 2nd round. Ngannou was totally outclassed.

Fury looked extra shitty in their fight and maybe did not train much, who knows.

Who would give Francis 10 million to box again? I'm guessing nobody. Maybe Francis and Wilder could still be marketable but not nearly what it once may have been. That was a brutal knockout. Francis is not young. I'm a huge fan and would rather see him retire altogether from combat sports rather than box again. But if he continues, he should go back to the PFL/MMA.
When Francis fought Stipe the 1st time and was schooled, he was a mess afterwards. Losing his next fight to Derrick Lewis in what was the worst fight I've ever seen. Based on that and the brutality of this knockout I'm predicting that should he fight Renan Ferrerra for the PFL championship in his next fight, that he gets knocked out with a head kick. Many guys with granite chins are never the same once that chin has been dented. I hope I'm wrong but fear I'm not.

I'd like to see Francis vs. Wilder; it would be very entertaining.

Chinese fucboi Zhang decides to go on a Japanese sumo diet and gain 20 lbs vs a highly mobile Parker.
-
GEEZUS....AJ cleaned his clock ! :D
-
Aj risked his chin to land his right hand, risking the left hook counter that Fury was risk averse too, not that Fury punches as hard as AJ, but Fury needs to offer Fury at least equal purse, momentum is now with him not Fury, I still see him Fury losing to Usyk anyway if they ever fight.

Fury didn't take Ngannou seriously, he looked embarrassed in the audience when aj won, he knew that's what he should have done.
No doubt Ngannou is a great mma fighter but he shouldn't be able to walk into top level boxing and test top guys as if it's the same thing. Like a top level tennis player couldn't go in and challenge top squash or badminton players just because they use a racket.

Also could be that Fury isn't as good as his wins over Wilder had people believe.
-
Fury shouldnt be world champ based on physique alone
A fighter should look like a fucking fighter

True!
One of Fury's sparring partners said he went one day with only 4 rounds of sparring.

Where did he say this?

Francis is an MMA fighter. Much different result if this happened in the Octogen. Hope he invests his money wisely because he is now tainted as an MMA for some of the clueless fans.
-
Francis Ngannou is being very smart.
He made $10 Million from fighting Tyson Fury and another $20 Million from fighting Anthony Joshua. With a clean $30 million, regardless if he has to pay off trainers, managers and a few other leeches, he could very well be sleeping easy with $25 million in his bank account from only 2 boxing matches. Not to mention that he likely has a couple of millions (not much at all - likely $1-3 Million) from his time in the UFC.
Frankly, the man could retire at this point and never bother to fight other men in his underwear within the world of MMA. He could also just continue to take exhibition fights against guys like possibly Wilder, who is already going downhill and would stand to make another easy $5-10 Million. Ultimately, he could walk away now and be fine or even stick around boxing for a few other events (Wilder, Jake Paul etc) and still walk away with his faculties intact.
This man made the best decision by leaving the UFC, where he would still be making pennies and having to deal with Dana's bullshit. Now, he is known worldwide and rich.

That was brutal. Francis looked like he was in a casket. I’d say 90% of KOs you see occur because the fighter was standing flat footed and not moving. So, the other fighter could load up.

There’s a clip of him training with Tyson who, pushing 60, looked like he had better foot movement.
