At the moment I have 3 pairs Nike 270 and feel like I’m wasting money ,who TF needs whole closet?
Shaun Clarida for instance.

-
I have one pair and they are battered to fuck the sole has wore away at the back through to the air bubble I normally just go everywhere in flip flops

I have four pairs of nice sneakers and one pair I wear to work. All of which are Cole Haan. Those things are so comfortable.

-
I have a £30 max limit of trainers
I just have a few pairs of cheap ones
-
All these sneaker heads collect the ugliest sneakers I can possibly imagine. I hate big bulky multi colored sneakers. I’ve got maybe 7-8 pairs of sneakers cause I get them for “free” at casino. I wouldn’t buy them that’s for sure. Big fan of the On running sneakers cloud 5.

No one stole working boots

I see lots of people wearing On in my gym .
-
What do you intend to do with this information, 1Blackdick?
-
Im white so two pairs.
I use them and throw them away when worn enough like a normal person.
-
He is also 5’1
Wearing a size 6 child shoes .
If he had to wear men’s sizes that collection would be in half
I’m about 20 pairs going out, gym , work, boots
-

Very comfortable and good ventilation keeps the feet cool. Great cushiony feel and simple looks that I like.

I got like 26 pairs of nike and reebok trainers, its a weird addiction/hobby/collector thing. Stupid probably i've slowed down in the past few years, but you know to each their own, better than buying scratch off tickets or bottles of whiskey? but yeah there are better hobbies to collect things that will retain or go up in value.
-
70 or so pairs.
Lmao ,seriously??
-
Lmao ,seriously??
Funk still has a carpeted toilet bowl cover, so it's likely he just doesn't throw anything away.
-
No new balance on the first page? ;D
I have 2 pairs of whatever is cheap off of amazon. I alternate them day to day and throw them out for new ones after about a year.
-
Ay! Ay, dawg, ay.
-
Two pair of Olympic lifting shoes. Five pair of running shoes. One every day walk around and one ratty pair of sneakers I use for lifting with the exception of squats and quick lifts. The running shoes are a big expense. One pair costs $200 plus. Two pair $160. The cheapest was $50 for a racing flat which I really don't need at my age but I wanted them with the delusion I can still get in good shape for a charity type 5K road race.
-

LMFAO. Does he have the matching piss rug to go with it?
-
One pair of grass stained white New Balances. 8)
-
He probably buys kids sizes so it's a relatively cheap hobby for him.
-
One pair of grass stained white New Balances. 8)
But they look good on you !
-
But they look good on you !
LOL!
-
its a nignog thing. collecting sneakers...wtf.
I think its in the dna, a luxury after centuries running through the bush barefoot maybe
-
Saucony Kinvara, get them on sale -maybe $50-60 when they introduce a new model and the past one drops in price.. Last about 3 years. I have three pairs and I rotate them. Thing is- when you find a shoe that you like, buy several pairs- they change models often in the industry and no guarantee they will fit the same.
-
I have two pairs of sneakers. One for masturbating into, the second for sniffing whilst I masturbate into the first.
-
I have two pairs of sneakers. One for masturbating into, the second for sniffing whilst I masturbate into the first.
What size?
-
A couple of pairs, like normal folks...
-
Grass Stains Of Peace
-
6 or 7.
1) Pair of weightlifting shoes I'll include here.
2) 3 pairs of Asics in good shape
3) 1 pair of beat Adidas that I wear for chores, etc... There might be another pair of beaters around, don't remember if I tossed them.
4) 1 pair of "dress" sneakers that I bought on a whim because they had a huge drop in price.
---------------------
Never got sneaker collecting to the point you had more sneakers than you could wear out in a few years. Soles rot, glue fails. Also there's a trend to make things cheaper under the guise of being more biodegradable, so I imagine it will get worse.

Just like these stupid rims.FFS I see old beat up car with duct tape all aver and nice shiny oversized chrome rims

I agree. These multi color basketball sneakers look like clown shoes.
-
Ninjas and wegros tend to have sneaker addictions. Both are effeminate.

-

And broke.
-
Lmao ,seriously??
yeah mostly cheapos, but I do have a shaq, jordan and underarmour pair.

Are there better gym shoes than basic Converses? Yeah I'm sure there's ones that have more cushion or whatever but for stable lifting? Lots of brands tried to improve on the Converse for a lifting shoe but failed imo. One trick I never tried was to put them on without socks but spraying loctite in them first, saw some powerlifter recommending it lol.
Most fancy sneakers look terrible, like whatever that Kanye had, so ugly...

Some of the Westside guys liked the Adidas Sambas in high or low for more support from the sides and less chance of blowouts/durability.
I noticed a lot of 80's lifters liked the Adidas Forum with the support strap -
(https://assets.adidas.com/images/h_840,f_auto,q_auto,fl_lossy,c_fill,g_auto/ceaf5cf666dd419193c11dade955c953_9366/Forum_84_High_Shoes_White_IE7199_01_standard.jpg).
I was curious about them, but couldn't find a pair locally.
Besides the hard bottoms, I went with low heeled weightlifting shoes because of the tarsal support strap. I like a shoe that's tight/firm around midfoot.
-
Yard work pair
Every day and gym pair
2- Chuck Taylors
-
“Sneakerhead” is just another word for homosexual, correct?
-
yeah mostly cheapos, but I do have a shaq, jordan and underarmour pair.
UA Charged I’ve had were surprisingly light and pretty comfortable for about $60
-
2 pairs of sneakers, New Balance and Asics and one pair of dress shoes.

For squats some powerlifters like big ass boots almost. I was thinking mainly deadlifts because I don't max out on squats really, forgot about that lol. For deads wrestling shoes have been popular but they aren't perfect either due to how the sole narrows in midfoot and there is some rounding on the edges. Some brands like Reebok and others have tried to make good Crossfit/deadlift shoes but the Converse still is better, not as plastic feeling, more rubbery. If I was a squat freak like I'm a deadlift freak I would probably have bought heeled squat shoes. A friend of mine has some no name cheap looking shoes like those Adidas and had a powerlifting belt maker/tailor put a couple of straps on them for stability.
These Finnish Metal powerlifting boots look badass imo, no idea how they feel though.
The other pic is these Swedish "gymnastics" rubber soled socks that were popular in the 70s that powerlifters liked for deads lol.
Third, the tailor's "own" shoes with the straps.

One good pair for the gym and one shit pair I wear everywhere else. I started wearing Brooks a couple years ago. It's all I will wear now

Just spent ten minutes lost in a classic thread
This one now about sneakers reminded me of the old Conker/Pellius bust up.. what started at the pellius homeless Quarter Pounder dong-hanging bum fight thread ended up with pellius getting doxed and Conker abused about Crocs and $800 trainers and then banned in what feels like a merged super-thread...
http://www.getbig.com/boards/index.php?topic=651490.0 (http://www.getbig.com/boards/index.php?topic=651490.0)
^^^ That thread is the reason I would never admit to wearing Crocs myself... ;)
-
What size?
12. Is that an adequate size for you, Dave?
-
Wtf is with teens wearing crocs and pajamas in the gym.
-
(https://s.turbifycdn.com/aah/otomix/red-weightlifting-bodybuilding-gym-shoes-final-sale-24.jpg)
The only thing I`ll ever wear are high top red Ottomix.....I have 7 pairs one for each day of the week.

-

Completely smeared over with grass stains in the classic style. The sniffing shoes even have grass clippings in them.
-
Crocs are very effective birth control. It guarantees that you will never get laid.
-
None. I haven't put on sneakers for decades. I was in Rocky S2V. Durability declined. Switched to Danner Rivots. I like Redwings for dirt work.
Bunch of country club pencil pushers around here.

I work in pharmaceutical research. The only thing I push are drugs with lots of side effects, haha.

I can make 12 work Softcock, it’s a little small but beggars can’t be choosers.
-
Switched to Danner Rivots.
Look at the fancy man in his $430 boots - https://www.danner.com/rivot-tfx-8-coyote-400g.html . A real working man would've gone down the surplus shop and got him some Danner Rats for $89 bucks - https://armynavyoutdoors.com/danner-usmc-rat-gore-tex-temperate-boot/?sku=15660-10.5W&gad_source=1&gclid=EAIaIQobChMIo57mioTwhAMVWFVHAR0wCAMKEAQYBSABEgL1UfD_BwE .
He also would've engaged in a little playful racism and patriot talk with the shopkeep too.
;) :) .

Quite a bit more than that with the crappy exchange rate to $Aus and shipping.
I live in 'em tho so I don't fuck around, Odin-bro.
-
Update. Danner Rivots. These are The Boots if any of you guys work for a living.
Lots of firewood, mud, and drywall. No maintenance because I'm a bad person. Holding up very well. Noticably better than the last fairly expensive boot I tried, Rocky S2V. Miles beyond a cardboard and glue budget boot. Will definitely buy again.
-
I have 1 pair of white low top Jordan's I bought in 2020. That's it.
-
Asics and Dr Scholl's x 2.
-
I hate those clown multi color basketball sneakers. Looks like all you need is the red nose wearing those.
I have four pair of running sneakers. I walk around in New Balance 990 black on black. Best walking and walking around shoes I ever had. Running it's the Saucony Triumph. They are very light and just cushioned to perfection. Lifting is Adidas lifting shoes.
Unlike today's fashion or lack of it when I'm dressed I wear real shoes. The sneakers with the sports coat look is a bad one.
-
I tend to hold onto sneakers too long, but have recently purchase some Saucony, Altra and Xero brands as I need to get this shit right after working through a broken sesamoid bone.
I have traditionally worn altras as my go to.
And, for you more frugal types, I tend to buy last year's models when they are being replaced, so they tend to be half price or more. The idea of $140 sneakers doesn't interest me.

Grape, serious question. Would you consider this the shoe equivalent of wearing a potato sack or a giant barrel with the straps like we used to see in cartoons? I look forward to your prompt reply.

It's more like wearing the same clothes as everyone else, but the colors were designed by some 52 year old raver in a 3rd world shithole whacked out his mind on molly while he plays pin the erection on the whore blindfolded.

2 Pairs of Chuck Taylor's
2 New Balance, one is for training and the other is for yardwork and stuff like that.

Maybe one day we can do a body comp challenge together. Get us both to just get it done once and for all. I have looked the same too for a long time.

I used to buy mainly Nike but the past few years started using Adidas and have found Adidas to be more comfortable and considerably more durable and better quality.
Several of my Nike shoes eventually broke after 1 to 2 years of use, or even under a year. This has never happened with my Adidas shoes.
They are also wider in comparison to Nike, which seems to be made for people with high arches.
-
bought a pair of Under Armour yesterday £37

I had two pairs but just bought a new pair at Walmart because one is beat.
I bought Brahma Grate steel toe workboots that look like sneakers. $30.
Had a pair of these a couple times and like them.
If you have to kick someone they are extra good.

I have but one pair and when I wear them I TIE my shoelaces and then do the double knot on top of that so that they do not come loose. I despise these urbane ghetto beings that don't know how to tie their shoelaces. They look like retards and probably smell like the Bog of Eternal Stench.

Nike is shit quality these days, they are more about fashion.
Asics are the most comfortable.
I can't say i wear "sneakers", but i have running shoes.
Mainly wear dress style boots or Soloman hiking shoes.

I've used bicarb soda on my gym ones, before. Works wonders and then just vacuum the powder up after an hour. Soaks up and neutralises everything.

Regular foot odor eliminating spray works great .Once in a while I throw them into the washing machine.
-
A little bit I was worried about making a bog of eternal paste in there but I might give it a shot, paisan.
Nah, it works perfectly. The one downside I've had is that if you use too much. The white soda particles can go through to the outside but that's easily wiped with a wet cloth way after. The main thing is to vacuum the bicarb well. It's a miracle powder, in how many uses it has.
White trainers, you don't even need to worry about anything forming outside. Trust me, the smell will be gone. It's absolutely brilliant.
I give the trainers a shake every 20 minutes and make sure that it covers everything your toes touch, too. Even a shake side to side and up and down

Yeah, the mainstream sneaker companies getting interested in the market did wonders for their looks. I do sorta hope they do an old school lifting boot one day though -

Noishhh. Adidas has always had better designs than Nike, imo. I really liked their Adidas Porsche designs when they teamed up. Some great casual trainers.
Y3 had great designs but poor paintwork and stitching. I loved their Y3 boxer trainers. Shame you needed another pair every 4 months instead of 12 like Adidas or Nike. Can't even find the design I was fond of, it was that long ago, now... something like this..
